The perfect date night after all these months in quarantine!!!
Great meal. Great service. Socially distant.
Food was excellent with great service. Not crowded at all on a week night, like 2 other groups total.
Igloos were very nice and warm!! Outside with the heaters was also enjoyable to see the view.
There weren’t enough heat lamps for the tables outside. We also weren’t aware that there was heated igloo seating available. We called ahead and asked about the heat lamp situation and they assured us that there were 2x Heat Lamps per table. It ended up being 2 x Tables per heat lamp.
I had made our reservations before Governor Wolf decided to close down indoor dining. Thankfully, The Foundry was still able to accommodate me with its outdoor seating. We were seating on their patio with a beautiful view of Pittsburgh (the weather cooperated, so no rain. Although we were under an awning.) They also had heaters for their outdoor guests so we did not have to worry about being cold. Sadly, they were not busy so I was glad to be able to give them some business and a good tip! The food was excellent, my friend and I both ordered the french dip that was newer to the menu and it was delicious! Our server was kind and checked on us appropriately. This was my first time as a Pittsburgh native eating at The Foundry and I will definitely be back!!
Great staff and food! They did a good job with Covid regulations and it felt safe and clean.
This was such a great spot for a socially distanced brunch! My friends and I got the challah French toast, eggs Benedict, and waffle w/ fried chicken and loved all of it! It’s a really cute rustic vibe and the service was GREAT! I highly recommend this spot, but parking can be a little difficult on game days.
Service was great! The chicken and waffles and the foundry burger was amazing. I loved that I didn’t even have to use condiments for the burger. Thank you! Also, the champagne vinaigrette was the best I’ve had so far in my dressing journey.
Really good wings. Fresh cut French fries very good too. French dip was a hit, salmon dish not so much. Overall the family enjoyed dinner. Very good service.
I would highly recommend this place if you love farm to table food. The ambience was one of my favorite parts.
Was great, very recommendable! The environment is amazing!
I’m drawn to any restaurant that sources their food locally. The Foundry never disappoints.
Great ambiance, cool vibe. Waitress was awesome and did not rush us.
Beautiful night to sit out on the patio! Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious!
Really delightful experience. Excellent service from Phil and a delicious meal from the kitchen. We were there on a quiet Tuesday night, room noise was not a factor. I bet the view of the river is beautiful during the day. Looking forward to my dining experience!
This was our first time dining at the Foundry and we will be going back for sure! The drinks they have right now for Fall are delish especially the mule selections. A must stop place on the North Shore if you love great drinks and food.
The Foundry is a great place to gather with friends or watch a ball game. The food and cocktails are good! Great location in the city as well.
Food was delicious. Service was great. The only issue was it was very loud so I wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to have relaxing dinner or do not want a stimulating atmosphere.
celebrated a 21st birthday here and despite all of the rules and regulations with alcohol due to covid our server managed to still make it fun and special. Food was delicious, drinks were great, and service was exceptional! Would definitely recommend!
Omelette was just okay, but the ambiance, drinks, and service were amazing!!!
Nice place, good food and drinks. Service was quick
We had a warm October day for dining outdoors, with good friends and delicious food. We are COVID cautious, and we chose The Foundry because it has a nice-sized patio on the Allegheny River. It's easy to get to and parking is free on non-event Sundays. We enjoyed the food, the menu was nice and the service was friendly and professional. I received a phone call two hours before my reservation, letting me know that the patio was not heated. It was a chilly morning, and the server wanted to make sure that I still wanted to be outside. What a terrific gesture!
Super cool atmosphere. Our server was great. However, a few things that could have been way better: Sunday 1130 brunch is not when I want to hear Ozzy singing Crazy Train so loud that I can't hear across the table... and the same hair metal continued the whole time; although the food was tasty it also took about 25 minutes to come out and there were only 2 people seated before us; lastly it wasn't even piping hot.. when you get a fried egg you definitely want it not room temperature. I would maybe try again but given the beer bottles in the bathroom trash from the night before I'm guessing things are probably just not managed well.
The patio was a great place to sit and catch up with friends. The food was delicious and our server was awesome.
Great river view of place Good brunch but no decent coffee or cappuccino overall we were happy with our service and food
Underrated place honestly.
Really good brunch options and prices. There could have been a better drink menu
We loved the Foundry! Great food and great service.
The Foundry was nice. We were expecting brunch but didn’t realize they didn’t serve it on Fridays. Still, we had a grilled cheese and a burger. Both good for the price. Sat outside with a view of the water. Nice morning!
Birthday. Renata was super.
Open table needs to put an option for seating for outside. I put that in comments and the restaurant said that did not come across and they couldn't accommodate.
The food was fantastic! They have a serious cocktail list and we tried several all were amazing. We did go during an active Pitt game so it was probably little louder than normal. Would highly recommend this place!
I had dinner here for my 21st birthday. I got the specialty pasta which was great and one of their cocktails, which was also delicious! The service was fast and overall a great way to spend my birthday.
Great time ! Not all outside tables are shaded so ate inside but was a great experience inside also!
Awesome place! Great service and food.
The food an location were very good, as was the service. The pricing was high, particularly the drinks, which were very expensive.
The outdoor patio was a great place for dinner during COVID-19. And the food was great. The creamed corn was yummy. We also had a wonderful waiter. (I don’t have his name. Young man. Wavy dark hair. We told him he was the best waiter we’d had during our visit to the city, and the others were fine.)
Great service!
Nothing good to say.
