Really delightful experience. Excellent service from Phil and a delicious meal from the kitchen. We were there on a quiet Tuesday night, room noise was not a factor. I bet the view of the river is beautiful during the day. Looking forward to my dining experience!
This was our first time dining at the Foundry and we will be going back for sure! The drinks they have right now for Fall are delish especially the mule selections. A must stop place on the North Shore if you love great drinks and food.
The Foundry is a great place to gather with friends or watch a ball game. The food and cocktails are good! Great location in the city as well.
celebrated a 21st birthday here and despite all of the rules and regulations with alcohol due to covid our server managed to still make it fun and special. Food was delicious, drinks were great, and service was exceptional! Would definitely recommend!
Omelette was just okay, but the ambiance, drinks, and service were amazing!!!
Nice place, good food and drinks. Service was quick
We had a warm October day for dining outdoors, with good friends and delicious food. We are COVID cautious, and we chose The Foundry because it has a nice-sized patio on the Allegheny River. It's easy to get to and parking is free on non-event Sundays. We enjoyed the food, the menu was nice and the service was friendly and professional. I received a phone call two hours before my reservation, letting me know that the patio was not heated. It was a chilly morning, and the server wanted to make sure that I still wanted to be outside. What a terrific gesture!
Super cool atmosphere. Our server was great. However, a few things that could have been way better: Sunday 1130 brunch is not when I want to hear Ozzy singing Crazy Train so loud that I can't hear across the table... and the same hair metal continued the whole time; although the food was tasty it also took about 25 minutes to come out and there were only 2 people seated before us; lastly it wasn't even piping hot.. when you get a fried egg you definitely want it not room temperature. I would maybe try again but given the beer bottles in the bathroom trash from the night before I'm guessing things are probably just not managed well.
The patio was a great place to sit and catch up with friends. The food was delicious and our server was awesome.
Great river view of place Good brunch but no decent coffee or cappuccino overall we were happy with our service and food
Underrated place honestly.
Really good brunch options and prices. There could have been a better drink menu
We loved the Foundry! Great food and great service.
The Foundry was nice. We were expecting brunch but didn’t realize they didn’t serve it on Fridays. Still, we had a grilled cheese and a burger. Both good for the price. Sat outside with a view of the water. Nice morning!
Birthday. Renata was super.
Open table needs to put an option for seating for outside. I put that in comments and the restaurant said that did not come across and they couldn't accommodate.
The food was fantastic! They have a serious cocktail list and we tried several all were amazing. We did go during an active Pitt game so it was probably little louder than normal. Would highly recommend this place!
I had dinner here for my 21st birthday. I got the specialty pasta which was great and one of their cocktails, which was also delicious! The service was fast and overall a great way to spend my birthday.
Great time ! Not all outside tables are shaded so ate inside but was a great experience inside also!
Awesome place! Great service and food.
The food an location were very good, as was the service. The pricing was high, particularly the drinks, which were very expensive.
The outdoor patio was a great place for dinner during COVID-19. And the food was great. The creamed corn was yummy. We also had a wonderful waiter. (I don’t have his name. Young man. Wavy dark hair. We told him he was the best waiter we’d had during our visit to the city, and the others were fine.)
Nothing good to say.
I was so happy that they were able to accommodate my family on short notice. I had reservations elsewhere, but that restaurant was splitting us up into two tables. The Foundry did not. The food was wonderful along with the atmosphere. Keep up the great work!
The Bibb Salad with salmon was perfectly cooked and a light lunch. My husband had the Market Salad with chicken and said the same thing.
Great service. Pricey drinks, but that’s to be expected for the location. Food was ok. Out of our 4 meals 2 were very good (salmon and chicken), 1 needed more sauce (pasta with mushrooms), and the last was below average (porch chop) The radicchio was served with it was horrible.
We love the food and drinks. Atmosphere is very nice and we loved the music playing. We weren’t aware that the dinner menu wasn’t served until after 3 on Sunday but my fiancé was very happy with his burger! Great spot
My sister and I came here for brunch to catch up since she moved to Pittsburgh for school. The food was amazing, we had our choice to sit on the patio, and our server (Taylor) was amazing! She was upbeat, professional, quick, and thanked us for visiting. We will definitely be back!
It was not easy to find a restaurant that accepted reservations for brunch and had outdoor seating. Having not been to The Foundry in a couple years, I was very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the brunch menu, as well as the outdoor seating. Definitely a restaurant to visit again.
Food was great, and I felt comfortable with the spacing and being outdoors with the COVID restrictions. The only bad thing was a bunch of young women yelling and crowding in the bathroom without masks, which made me very uncomfortable.
We always have a great experience here. The food is delicious, drinks are super tasty, and the service is attentive. With COVID specifically, we felt safe with the procedures in place. They have a cool out door area as well as a bar area and a dining room so a bunch of options depending on what you’re feeling.
Ordered the steak and had 3 different beers. First beer choice on the list was out (very irritating when this happens, but not uncommon at other establishments either). Selection of beer was not as diverse as I had hoped and did not match the website which was also a bit irritating.
The steak was delicious and my friend also liked his food. The beer we had was good but would have preferred a more varied selection of style of beer. After 3 rounds we were ready to go elsewhere to try something different.
Waitress was great, attentive and was excellent at her job.
Ambiance was very great and sitting outside by the river was awesome.
I would recommend and would go back. Good to see there is a focus on having good food along with good beer; most places around there seem to focus more on the beer, with mostly brutal food choices. Prices are a bit high for what you are getting, but are inline with the majority of places in that area.
One of the better options in the area.
Have been to The Foundry many times. It’s perfect for date night, brunch, everyday dining, and even special events! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
Wonderful food! The Cuban sandwich is the best I've ever had, anywhere!!
A delicious meal at a fabulous location. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant.
Great outdoor space!
The patio is scorching in the morning. Only 2 tables out of 10+ with shade. Couldn’t use the arm rests or touch the table.
Brunch was great.
The menu is a little limited in my opinion. Especially for someone "picky". Everything was prepared well. Service was pretty slow, especially since they are only at 25%. Our server was extremely nice and knowledgeable. We did have a nice time with our group and did not feel rushed.
