This was not my first time at the Foundry, but it will be my last. The food was not good. Well, the bacon was good, but that was it. The Brussels sprouts were deep friend inside oil that was probably not hot enough, because they were soaking mushy balls of oil. Then they were slathered in a maple syrup sauce that made them even mushier and heavier. I gad scrambled eggs, which were overdone and hard. My husband had the breakfast with eggs, potatoes and bacon and his potatoes were not cooked. I understand it’s difficult to find people to work or whatever the excuse is, but to put out plates like we had yesterday was really pathetic. Not good.

I am 58 years old and this is the only restaurant that I will never go back to because of the food. Ordered crab dip to start out with which had no flavor and the color was gray. they served thick seasoned potato chips with it ($22). Our server brought us some soft pretzels to dip instead. My wife's fist bowl of onion soup came with an inch of cheese and top and literally no soup/liquid. The server brought her another bowl with soup in it but it had zero flavor, and it was removed from our bill. My cheesesteak was below average, over cooked and mostly bun. Our server was great and understanding. The brussels sprouts were good.

We met some friends for dinner and it was delicious. I had the French onion soup and the winter salad with chicken. My husband had the Cuban with a side of Mac n cheese. You get generous portions and everything is fresh and tasty! Service was top notch 🤗

A group of old friends -- seven (one more than our reservation called for) -- lucked out. We had a corner round table, which was perfect for talking, and an excellent waitress named Alexis who kept us in water, wine and other drinks, food and good cheer all night. The restaurant was nicely decorated with Christmas trees and we stayed for hours. A big success for returning customers, out-of-state visitors and first-timers.

It's wonderful to have a place like this in this part of the city that takes reservations for large groups. The menu has something for everyone, no matter your palette or appetite. Beer, wine, and cocktails are offered in a diversity that never fails to satisfy. Our service is typically spot-on, friendly, and prompt, without making us feel rushed. It's becoming the go-to place for our larger family - we don't go out much, so it is wonderful to have a good experience each time we return to The Foundry.

Food was very disappointing this time. Risotto was mushy and bland but the salmon was so salty. The dish was just so disjointed with flavor and seasoning. Not as many GF options in the past. All of their Pinot Grigio's tasted like diesel. Service and drinks were fabulous.

We were looking for a nice spot to celebrate a friends 40th birthday for dinner. We made a reservation but no one told us (nor was anything on the website) that they only offer a SUPER limited menu during “event days” We were there during a Pitt game, the place was nearly empty. Food was decent but not what we were looking for. Server was sweet. It would have been nice to know before we got there.

This was our first time at The Foundry and overall we really enjoyed the experience! The food and drinks were tasty, our waitress was very personable and pleasant, and the atmosphere was energetic. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie which was delicious, but could have been warmer. My entire group enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back!

The new fall menu is amazing! It was hard to choose what to try first. The meatloaf was outstanding. Who gets meatloaf out for dinner? We do now! Amazingly flavorful and the meatloaf was a good texture not too mushy. The fall risotto was a bit of disappointment with the apples being the highlight of the dishes which overall was lacking flavor. I was able to get one of the old house original cocktails, always great, but I’m really disappointed that that menu is shrinking. The Fitzgerald was always my favorite and now they don’t stock one of the main ingredients to make it. My apple cider martini was phenomenal though. My husband really enjoyed his smoked maple old fashioned too!

Eight of us ate at The Foundry on Saturday , Sept. 17. We ate outside. Beautiful night with great views of the river. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The salmon was a big hit with four of our group choosing it. The pierogis were also outstanding. Our waitress was excellent, very attentive and accommodating. We will definitely go back for the food, ambiance and location. Great place!!

Immediately greeted by a nice hostess to an outdoor table I reserved for a dinner with old friends from out of town. We really enjoyed the trout. Cooked perfectly with peppers and roasted potatoes with just enough spice. Service was excellent. With a view of the river and the city skyline it was a perfect evening! I will highly recommend for casual dining on the North Shore.

We had an early reservation so we could attend a show next door. Our waitress was wonderful, the food was good. The cocktails amazing. Our food came out faster that was expected. We had a wonderful and the atmosphere was nice.
