A keeper. Food is great, Chevice and Tuna appetizers are delicious. My favorite dish is the Octopus Salad.
Great date night at Foundry. Beautiful decor, great service, large portions. We will go back!
Liked it so much that I made another reservation to celebrate a birthday. The menu is creative and that atmosphere reminded of a NYC restaurant. We were all quite pleased.
The noise level inside was too loud, so we chose to sit outside which was a delightful setting. Unfortunately, our server had an attitude. I'm vegetarian so ordered the veggie black bean burger. I believe it was a frozen patty that had been defrosted but not cooked. The cheese on the top didn't even melt. I ordered it without a bun, so it was served on some lettuce leaves. However, the lettuce was chewy, either from being old or not stored properly. The other person got the short ribs tacos. It was more of an appetizer serving as she was looking forward to going home and eating leftovers. Sorry it didn't work for us.
I’ve been looking for a great brunch spot. This place wins!! Short rib Grilled cheese was the BOMB!!!! Pancakes were perfect!
Cocktails were perfectly balanced. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely come back.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Nice decor, drinks were also excellent
Went on a Saturday night with a Friend. Sat outside on the patio which is aways a nice and pleasant experience. Food was good and services was OK. Was hard to understand our waiter due to noise. We cut our visit short as we just were not getting the Vibe we normally do.
We were meeting a friend and we weren’t too sure of the restaurants in the area and our friend suggested the Foundry. I made the reservation with Open Table ( just love Open Table!).
We ordered drinks and the waitress was so kind and patient with us, we were so busy catching up on life.
My husband ordered the Grilled Octopus over salad, our friend ordered Tuscan Seafood Pasta, and I was limited (just came out of the hospital) on a no fiber diet. I ordered House-Made Classic Polpette, it was great! Everyone enjoyed their meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends who live in the area. We live 40 minutes away and would make the trip again, and hopefully I will be able to eat that Seafood Pasta dish!
2nd visit to the Foundry was a resoundingly poor experience. Drinks spilled by the server at the table, apps spilled at the table and a main ingredient missed in one of the apps. Manager was polite but lacked the skill set to manage the poor experience for us, thanks for the free drinks but! As a manager/leader an opportunity was missed to personalize the apology and make it right.
As for the operations as a whole, please take the flat screen off the wall near the kitchen as servers and manager were more focused on what was on TV rather than guests and please keep your fingers off the food ready to go out to customers!
Are we going to give it another try, sure because it’s local, the food is good and we want the restaurant to succeed.
Affordable American fare in a factory style setting. The service was very good; but the music selection and volume seem off for dining and more suitable for loud, sports bar atmosphere. Solid selection of wine/beer. Recommend it as casual eatery and happy hour spot.
Lovely restaurant. Great food, we had mussels, oysters and shrimp appetizers. Lobster ravioli and chicken. All delicious. It’s very loud inside though.
We had a great double birthday celebration. Our server, Nancy, was wonderful, attentive but we never felt rushed. The food and drink were great. Will definitely be back.
Great ambiance and great service by Derval. When we were approaching the restaurant, we were immediately overcome by the smell of cigar smoke. Since one side of the patio allows smoking we assumed that once inside we would enjoy a smoke free dining experience. We were WRONG. Every time the door opened the awful smell of cigars was overwhelming. The menu is mostly seafood and not being a seafood eater my options were limited. I do enjoy calamari but not when it is drenched in oil. While the wine selection was adequate, the beer selection was limited making it necessary to leave and go elsewhere so that I could enjoy a beer. Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to the Foundry.
Found service to be terrible. Had reservation and was seated immediately; however, took long period of time to get a waiter to take the table. Appeared the waiter may have not felt the table should have been his so there was some type confusion over who would handle this location. In any event the server was visibly not happy and spent much of his time standing in back on his cell phone. Once food was brought out from the kitchen staff the server took 10-15 minutes to even check to see if anything else was needed. By the time we got salt and pepper t the table, food was cold. Terrible service and definitely not worth the money.
Overall wonderful experience and a great way for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Definitely will come again and the lobster and shrimp toast is a must have!!
It was ok. Hard to talk as it was very noisy .
Good selection of craft beers and drinks. Burger and fries were so huge my friend cut it in half. But my shrimp and grits was very small for an entree. A small scoop of grits and five shrimp is not much for over $20. No reason not to upsize that and include some peppers/onions/celery as is traditional.
Poor acoustics. Half-filled and still very loud. Would have preferred some sound-proofing.
Wonderful, friendly greeting and service. I had the special suggested by our waiter and it was excellent.
We met friends for a late lunch. We were seated quickly. Our waiter greeted us and brought waters to the table- as he walked away we asked to order cocktails- took a few minutes to get our drinks. He brought over menus we ordered appetizers - once the appetizers had arrived he came back took our food order and we didn’t see him again until after the food had been brought to our table.
Everyone at the table felt as though we were interrupting his day by asking for his service. The restaurant was not busy at all
This won’t stop us from returning as the location is perfect and the food and drinks were great!
He just needs a bit of an attitude adjustment.
Our party of 4 was completely underwhelmed by this place. We had heard a few good reviews and decided to try it out and unfortunately we were disappointed. The lobster ravioli was okay, my husbands fish was not good and I ordered the pork chop which was not finished with the glaze properly and had a horrible smoke taste to it. The server recognized I didn't like it and immediately offered me another something but I chose to eat just the sides and not choose another entree. Management was great and removed the meal from our bill and apologized again when they realized the glaze was not added to the meat. The meatball appetizers were very good. Ambience was nice, service was good, but overall we wouldn't re visit The Foundry.
Our server Lindsay was amazing! On point, smart, knowledgeable of menu and features, HH at table was a bonus as bar was full.
Drinks and food are good value. Always have a good experience.
This was our second time here. We were seated right on time. Waiter was great. Pretty cool place inside. Fun to eat inside or out. The valet guys are great. Left my phone and they saved it for me!
I had one special evening available alone with my daughter who was visiting from college and I selected the Foundry. Great choice! The food was so tasty and cooked to perfection. We had the Lobster ravioli and the filet. Service was great and we enjoyed our visit
Great menu! Service was perfect! Loved our server Leo =)
The food was very good and I will go back to try other items on the menu.
Our service was excellent and we received our food quickly.
The only negative was the noise level, it was too loud.
Wonderful ambience of the original foundry. Energetic bar crowd, made it very noisy and hard to hear. The food was good. We asked to taste the meatballs, after being told that they were seasoned with red pepper. Too spicy for us, and we mentioned they would be too spicy for many older people who have to watch their spices.
We had never been here and decided to give it a try. The waiter was fantastic and chose a wonderful wine for us. The noise level was a little higher than I would like but that was only because we were trying to talk over a business discussion. Not loud... just higher than I wanted. Beyond that, the food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very nice.
our server was fantastic wow on the oyster (great Happy hour price)
super drinks martinis and coffee martinis
we all were served at the same time (7 of us) this is important!!!
They have good intentions but faltered on execution. Everything we had was over salted, to the point it was barely edible; and I’m not a salt wimp, I enjoy things we’ll seasoned as my high blood pressure can attest to. Control the heavy hand and things would be better.
Service was so-so, never checked in with us to see if everything was ok. Didn’t seem like that busy of a Saturday night as we came in late at 9pm.
Waiter good- once he saw we were seated in the outside section away from bar. Outdoors: next to a cigar bar- even when we sat around the corner the smell was a little nauseating. Expensive for the not very creative food. Generally food good- mahi sandwich cooked perfectly.
The hamburger was ordered rare! It came out two times well done! It finally came out rare at the end of the meal when the other four of us were finished eating! It was delicious .. and they did not charge us for it!!
Staff was attentive but they were understaffed. The sushi stack and banana trifle were delicious. Shrimp and grits was just ok. Over priced for the quality.
The restaurant was very cool. Went there while vacationing with my teenage daughter. I guess they didn’t think they needed to impress us. Even though we had a reservation, they just threw us in a table for 2 right inside the front door and right next to the very noisy bar area. It was really outside the main dining area which was much quieter. Our server was horrible, pretty much couldn’t be bothered with us. Food was amazing but I expect excellent service when I’m paying that much. I don’t recommend.
Had Foundry Burger and Short Rib entree. Both good. Might have arrived a bit more hot...was sort of just on the warm side.....but a lot better of burgers ordered around us...was busy. Will give it another try. Grilled octopus salad looks interesting. Want to try that.
The “Coffee n Donuts” is to die for!
We come for Happy Hour at the high top outside tables. Usually a good experience though noise is loud and the wine selections could be broader. Also, occasional smoke from cigar-oriented cafe nearby can be a downer.
We were very happy...the special drinks were excellent...we had short ribs and mahi-mahi ...fantastic! The meat fell apart...no need for a knife. The mahi-mahi was grilled to our likeness..perfect. We sat outside...it was comfortable...inside looked good too..air can be cool. The fire oven must produce perfect pizzas. Great location from pompano beach.
We had a great experience at the Foundry. The sushi stack and tuna poke were both delicious with very fresh fish. Fun environment with great drinks. We had the grapefruit cocktail, which the waitress recommended and I loved it.
Service was excellent. Seemed more a bar atmosphere than restaurant.but had a nice time
