The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's James Wright and Joshua Cox anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. First time eating at the Foundry. Hostess seemed annoyed by us (we did have a reservation) but did move us to the outside seating (music was ridiculous and loud inside). Service was ok. The Cherry Chipotle Salmon was a good but even with dessert I still left hungry. Cool views and happy to sit outside. Recommend the valet parking. I do feel the meals/portions were not equal to the price.

I ordered the 24-hour chicken which was exceptionally moist. The mushroom risotto was great with carrots and peas without the goopy mess most restaurants call risotto. I will definitely order this meal again. My husband ordered BBQ short ribs which was also an excellent meal. Our only complaint about the evening was the service. When we walked in we were not greeted by a welcoming host. She was on her cell phone and it appeared to be a bother for her to have to seat us. The wait staff was very slow and never asked us if we wanted additional drinks. Great food but please work on your customer service.

Very cool rooftop restaurant. Food and drinks are good. Service was a little slow, but staff was super friendly! If you visit, sit outside — great view of minor league baseball field and city.

Wonderful food, drink and service in beautiful surroundings. It was our first visit, but will not be our last. We were there for brunch and sat inside but we are looking forward to trying the dinner menu and sitting on the patio!

It really was a great first experience. Our server KiKi took phenomenal care of our group. We were celebrating a birthday and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening. The food and drinks were top notch. Live entertainment, an amazing view, perfect ambience, and great service. We will definitely be returning! Highly recommend.

Food was great! Service was blah... the front desk person seemed to care less. She brought us to a table without asking us where we wanted to sit, I had selected "other" table for the reservation because I didn't want a standard sit down table. She brought us to sit down table and when we asked if we could sit at the bar she said -"sure" and took the menus and just walked away. It honestly felt like she could care less that we were there. In fact people seemed generally kind of not that happy. Our bar tended was good, not amazing, but good.
