The Fork & Flask at Nage
Consistently among the best menus in the area. Creative, varied small and larger plates plus outstanding craft cocktail choices. Happy hour and other specials are also quite good.
I love this place, but our reservation was a nightmare. The hostess didn’t check us in even though she stated she did. We waited 45 minutes to be sat and when I asked why people who came in after us were sat first, she said she was sitting as we came in. First of all, they should be sat in order of reservation time, not randomly trickling in. She started to argue with me about being sat and when I told her that I had checked in 45 minutes prior and she had acknowledged me, she changed her tune and sat us. We ended up being sat half an hour after our time. However, after that, it was a great experience.
Went there for Valentines day. We had reservations and were seated in a reasonable time. We were seated where you could watch the chefs. The food was great and the server was very polite. Highly recommend.
Valentine’s Day dinner was packed. The food was outstanding. Service was good but slow. Everything was hot when served so slow service was more a function of an overloaded kitchen than inattentive wait staff. We’ll definitely return but not on a special occasion dinner time.
Came for the Valentines Menu, everything was amazing. My husband and I will definitely be back! Great atmosphere, friendly staff.
Took my Fiancé here for Valentines Day Dinner and it was great. Food was amazing and I enjoyed the Flask drinks.
A very good option if you are looking for vegetarian or vegan food in the Rehoboth Beach area. Multiple hot food choices in addition to salads. Highly recommend!
What an enjoyable experience! Josie was a tremendous server and ambassador. And the food was outstanding. The chef caters to food allergies with creativity, providing delicious alternatives that don’t make me feel I am missing anything!
Great food and service! We went for one of the Tuesday ethnic nights-- Polish food.
Perogies and sauerkraut were excellent, as was the service. We will be back.
I was disappointed in the Korea , it was supposed to be short ribs and it was nothing like them.
There were six of us in the party, all were first timers at Fork & Flask. The food was excellent and we had a great time. Will definitely be back.
We had a fantastic dinner, not without hiccups, but all in good spirit.
Fabulous food and a curious fun menu! We started with the cheese and salami board, a superb selection of Humble Fod, Moody Blue, Prima Donna Gouda, smoky Gouda, manchego and a creamy Robiola with fig jam and artisan mustard on the side. Hand-delivered on a slate board by the charming chef. The Bulgogi platter was numerous slabs of flavorful beef topped with grilled scallions and served with Bibb lettuce, daikon radishes, Kim chi, bean sprouts, jalapeños and other fresh veggies. My son ate all of it with great relish. My companion said the shrimp and grits was the best he ever had, and that despite the spicy sausage that flavored the shrimp (he does not like spicy). My Delmarvelous crab cake was not the best I’ve had, not even close, but the succotash was a special medley and the roasted asparagus was a nice touch. I had house made pomegranate sorbet for dessert, a small portion with a price to match. We all agreed it was excellent food and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
What a pleasant surprise. First time there and won’t be the last. Unique preparation of delicious. Everyone in our party got different items and all were delicious.
We have tried this restaurant several times in the past. Unfortunately there has always been something wrong with our dinner. We decided to give the restaurant a final try for its "tempura night ". The tempura was soft, not crisp, and only somewhat tasty otherwise. Furthermore, the $12 glass of wine was a particularly or pour. I'm pretty sure we're not returning to Fork and Flask for another disappointing dinner.
Have enjoyed Fork and Flask many times. One person in our party was vegan - had a great experience, didn't realize they had a separate vegetarian/vegan menu as well as a vegan brunch (first Saturday of the month).
Great food and service!
Reserved table for 5 and was seated near main entrance. Table was large but the seating was on a padded bench type of seat (for 2) and it was utterly uncomfortable and seemed more appropriate on a playground instead of a restaurant w/$30 entrees. I had the special (venison) which was very good. No complaints from me. She had the ahi tuna bowl w/soba? noodles. She forced me to taste it and the taste was predominantly salt flavoring. Not good. We even threw away the food/doggie bag when we got home. It was not good and we rarely complain about food. Our friends both had the “chicken sandwich” and she asked for no hot sauce drizzle on it. Unfortunately when she examined it on arrival, guess what it had on there? Hot sauce drizzle. (Both their sandwiches had it so it’s not possible they got the orders swapped). Could we have complained to our waitress? Sure. But we just wanted to dine and get it over with. Our waitress was great by the way. No complaints with the service. Service was very good. Anyway, I was hesitant to honor our reservation after doing a “drive by” the day before. The location of the restaurant is in an unusual place, for me, to expect to have a very good dining experience and very good food. I booked because of the variety of items/ entrees they served. We will probably not dine there again.
We were in for New Years Eve. The service was great! The food was very tasty. Over value for the $$ was OK. I think they could have priced it more around $75 per for what you got. But hey, it was NYE! Fun time and we will consider go back for sure. The entertainment was outstanding!! Loved the Music of Sinatra show!
Everything was great. Our one complaint was that they had a $95 fixed price menu for New Years Eve and nowhere when I made the reservation or got the confirmation from Open Table was that mentioned.
This review is for New Years Eve dinner prix fix so regular din in big may not have the same issue.
We arrived not aware of the mandatory $100 per person menu- other open table reservations were up front with that, so we am were surprised and disappointed. We arrived for an early dinner 6:30pm and felt rushed (presumably to get the next seating in). NO New Year’s Eve “fan fare” but they were bringing out props and themed giveaways as we were leaving (we got all the price but none of the fun).
Each course was brought out cold to Luke warm including the tart, soup, and steak. We let it go until the steak - we were pretty firm and requested a discount - they accommodated which we appreciated. Others has the same issues - it was clear that the kitchen. Was simply making ahead the meals knowing that - 1 in 3 would be ordered.
Overall I don’t think it was worth the price - would consider trying again assuming our issues were a poor attempt at a special event.
We did not know there was a fixed price/4 course menu for New Year's Eve - we went because of the regular menu that looked great. But we loved every bite -- the candy bar creme brulee was so over-the-top excellent we couldn't stand it, after so many other great courses. We had to go walk around in the parking lot we were so full! Our server was also excellent -- sadly I've lost the receipt and cannot remember her name, but the genuine relaxed camaraderie among the staff just added to the fun and delicious vibe of the evening. We don't live locally, but will go out of our way to come back!
The Creamed Chipped Duck was fascinating and delicious.
Wonderful service with an amazing array of menu items to satisfy almost any appetite. Portions are appropriate and good value. Highly recommend.
Did the Hanukkah, dry brisket and presentation was horrible.
Fork and Flask at Nage always has a warm welcome and fabulous food with excellent service. Sunday brunch was perfect for all four of us.
We were very much looking forward to brunch at Fork and Flask. We had heard mixed reviews but the good reviews encouraged us. Unfortunately, the experience was a disappointment. The main issue was that the food was served cold. Cold pancakes, cold egg sandwich and cold biscuits and gravy. The potato hash and coffee were the only things that came hot (and they were good). We should have sent everything back but didn’t have time to wait for new preparations and didn’t want to make the experience even worse. Because we read many comments in the bad reviews about cold food and slow service we likely won’t return. We were hopeful that since it is the off season and they weren’t busy that wouldn’t happen. It’s worth noting that the restaurant was almost empty which left no excuse for our food to be served cold.
The food was delicious. The Brussels sprout salad was quite good and my mom enjoyed the crabcake entree.
This was our second visit to The Fork & Flask at Nage. On both experience the service and food was EXCELLENT!
This place is the best.
Good food and beer wine selection. Nice service. Had the salmon shr
Great atmosphere and outstanding food
We had brunch for our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Food and service were absolutely superb! Our server (Jodi?) made us feel very pampered, she was awesome! We don’t live close, but will definitely return next time we’re near Rehoboth. This chef has got it going ON!
We were very pleased with everything. Our waitress was attentive and charming. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Will definitely go back.
Great! The food was amazing
Over- all experience was fair - we come here frequently and normally always have a good experience - as we always sit in the bar area we always have good service till this past time - the bartender who was our waitstaff as well was all over the board - not very attentive ! In the service industry waitstaff is vital
A wonderful dinning experience with a fun decor and nice dinning setting. Service was outstanding and the server was knowledgeable. Great twists on some traditional foods and great flavors. Flask cocktails - way fun.
Perhaps I was at a different place but our experience was horrible. If I could select negative stars I would. We ordered amongst other items a shaved brussel sprout salad with chicken and no cheese. When the salad was brought to the table it was covered in cheese. When we pointed out the problem the salad was whisked away and remade without cheese. This took about 10 minutes - the others in our party picked at their meals during this time. Not getting an order right is bad. The establishment needs to recognize simply delivering what was actually ordered does not restore the experience. The other members of our group of six found their meals okay to nearly inedible. Aside from the food the ambient noise, despite the restaurant not being filled to capacity, was so high that conversation amongst our group was impossible and the server could not hear us when we attempted to communicate unless we shouted. I recommend staying away. Much change and improvement is needed including simplifying the food recipes on offer. In most cases, this would greatly improve part of the Fork & Flask dining experience and make for less demand on the kitchen. I will not return and I suggest others reconsider visiting. There are much better alternatives available.
Amazing experience from the hostess stand to table. Everyone was extremely friendly and received great service from our server Alexia. Shared the ginger parsnip soup with my husband. I got the pork belly ramen and he got a crab cake sandwich, all delicious. My son got the chicken tenders, which he loved. Our son who is 16 months met the chef as well! Will definitely go back.
The hummus platter was delightful.
