   The food is always good, but we recently went with a large group of 10 and the waiter did everything two or three times cause the place is loud and has funny acoustics - come to think of it with just two people there's a lot of "huh?" going on. So he had to go around the table and introduce himself to everyone, then tell everyone the specials, then get everyones drink order. We didn't see a drink for at least 20 minutes after sitting down. The food was all good but came out at vastly different times and no one actually ate together unless they were sharing a plate. Then before the last plate even hit the table a bar person came by and said, it's last call. Obviously they have a closing time but it was a little annoying. We skipped dessert; though it would have been thoughtful to bring the birthday boy a slice of something chocolate with a candle just to say, yeah we want you all out of here but we do kinda care. Long and the short of it: stick to 1-4 people and you should be ok, but don't expect to be in-and-out quickly.

   The pizzas are all fantastic. I've been here several times with various sized groups and every time both the service and food have been great. This place has become a standby for me.

   We've been here twice with a large group and the food has been delicious both times. The pizzas are especially good. The service, however, is not of the same caliber. The staff seemed bored or even inconvenienced to be serving us and did a lot of socializing among themselves. No smiles, no warmth, no thank you for our patronage. Just mild annoyance or boredom. Also, it's VERY loud inside, so if you can't hear in crowds or are with a big group of people, you will have to shout to hear each other.

   I have been to The Forge 3 or 4 times. It's always loud and busy, but this was the worst. It was a Saturday early evening and they were full, but the service was really inattentive, everything was very slow and my entree came after the others had eaten. It happens, I know, but at that price point, and location, etc. they need to be better prepared.

   Our server was OUTSTANDING and FUN. Outdoors is really the place to be and enjoy. As a Vegetarian AND allergic to any kind of Zest my choices very super limited. But the server worked with me. I would love if a few more options could be added to the menu. The chees curds were fab. The salads well balanced. The flatbread could have used a tad bit more flavor and mine (cauliflower) was a little "mushy" Over all a nice place if you like cocktails - which were absolutely delicious.

   Solid beer list. Yummy pizza. Particularly like the cauliflower or pepperoni pizza. Nice outdoor area. Cool spot.

    Facing the waterfront at Jack London Square, the Forge is well-known for the pizzas. The three of us shared two pizzas and a wonderfully delicious arugula salad with an anchovy-lemon vinaigrette. Great place for a casual dinner and people-watching.
