Sadly, they were out of mussels [which I really needed last night!]
NEW menu is a welcome change, suggest more salads. Also suggest serving cornbread with the jambalaya. Good local spot.
We have lived here for over 20 years and this was hands down one of the worse meals we have ever had! Who can screw up a Caesar Salad! It was disgusting mayonnaise based Caesar?
The salmon was so salty that halfway through the meal my hands were swelling.
It was gross!
Great late lunch. Server was fantastic.
Salmon and mussels were cooked to perfection! The outdoor patio was comfortable and charming. The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. The inside is definitely a tavern, dark, smells like old wood, sports bar meets olde English pub.
The food is always delicious. My spouse loves the nachos.
Foreside Tavern is one of the best pub/tavern restaurants in Maine, in my opinion. Always consistent and just easier to enjoy vs the "uppity" restaurant scene in the Old Port. Great food and drinks in a low key friendly atmosphere. They make the best nachos in Maine hands down. They are large, though! Good beer selection. Great salads (usually I get with grilled salmon). Reuben is also a great choice. And the best best staff! Ryan is in a class by himself as a waiter and we usually ask for him. Professional. Remembers what we like. Super cool and awesome person through and through. The whole staff is superb. Put Foreside on your list!
basic bar grub, good local spot
We recently moved to Maine and in our travels we always passed by this restaurant. We finally decided that we needed to eat there and are we glad that we did. My husband and the Reuben and just loved it. The best part of the evening was the interaction with our server Ashley. She has the perfect temperament to be a server. She was witty and very efficient.
Service was prompt and friendly. The food was perfectly prepared and well priced. A great local restaurant. We sat outside in a lovely courtyard. A perfect Maine evening
food was very good, but expensive. Service was good, but not forgot a couple of items. The place was very plain which was why the prices were a bit surprising.
It was good!
A great place to catch up with friends.
always consistent food service and atmosphere. Never disappoints
There were 4 of us for dinner. We chose to eat inside where the tables were far apart. Wait staff all worse masks and were very "COVID" aware in their presentation and service.
It was a very nice night with no worries of being too close to others, etc.
Foreside has done a great job!
Had the Cobb salad, which was very good. Needed a bit more dressing. Readily provided but at an extra charge - not necessary in my opinion. Wait staff was attentive but likely short staffed and running hard - did a nice job under the circumstances. Will go back.
Our favorite place in Falmouth, Yarmouth area ! Great menu, great staff & really good food!
Our favorite place to go for pub food and beer. Always great service.
This has been one of the restaurants where my family has been going for years. We live nearby, the food is very good and the atmosphere is great. But yesterday we weren’t as pleased as usual. Our waiter Ryan L was awful, very rude. Never seen anything like that in this restaurant in particular or any other for that matter. We will go back there for sure and we will cross our fingers that he is not working that shift.
Mother’s Day . Great service and food. Love this place.
We had a great Mother’s Day dinner. Wait staff were fantastic, food was very good. A nice unstuffy environment!
Came for Mother's Day lunch and, despite being busy, the service was impeccable, food came out fast and was perfectly to order and delicious! We will definitely be back!
Mother’s Day brunch was delicious. I had the quiche and simple salad special and it was everything I hoped it would be. We sat outside and it was such a cute and safe atmosphere!
We felt the dining experience here was acceptable but average. The entree prices are a bit steep for such a casual place. Handheld sandwiches like burgers are priced reasonably but be prepared for $25-35 for entrees. We felt our server was never truly invested with our dining experience. He never offered us a second round of cocktails and our used plates sat on the table for a long while before he cleared them. No desserts were offered to us either. There are many other options of eateries in the area to choose from so we won’t be in a hurry to return.
Great evening. The nachos are the best ever!
Wonderful people taking great pride in what they do.
Early Mother’s Day celebration. Food was outstanding! Decor is tired but staff was friendly and attentive.
Beautiful outside seating area and a lovely early lunch. One of our favorite lunch stops.
We had a great dining experience!
I made reservations for a Saturday night and boy am I glad I did. They were turning people away at the door. The buttermilk pan fried chicken that I ordered was amazing! It came with spatzle, asparagus and a light gravy. My friend had the red wine braised short ribs and said it was delicious. I can't wait to go back!
I love that they have an outdoor option for reserving a table. It makes planning for the meal easy, simple, and relaxing. Great staff and they even use the heater for us because it was a little chilly. Food is good, atmosphere is good, services good... What's more that we need? Perfect dinner
The Tavern is our favorite place. Very consistent even in these difficult times. We always enjoy our time there.
Great place. Had wine to start. Ordered the beef stew with wonderful biscuits and a haddock sandwich with fries. Good food and good wait staff. Highly recommend. We are in the dining room and the bar area was quite busy!
Delicious meal & friendly service! The patio doesn’t quite have the charm that other outdoor dining spots have managed to create, but it was still very enjoyable and we’ll gladly come back.
The service and food are awesome here. There is a large, varied menu and the food never disappoints! Also, very safe dining with all Covid safety precautions in place!
Nice place for happy hour, too - inside or out!
The Bloody Mary and salad with farro and blackened salmon was delicious. It was a quiet afternoon on a Sunday for an enjoyable lunch with friends! Great service, and lots of menu options.
Wonderful menu with amazing food and drinks.
The patio is enchanting.... relaxing and fun at the same time.
The restaurant was clean and the hostess was friendly. The food quality was not as good as it usually is. Mainely the server was inattentive. We asked him twice for bread service. He told us that he would bring it but we didn’t receive it and he didn’t apologize for forgetting to bring it. He didn’t return to our table after we received our meal to ask how they were. We had to ask for drink refills.
The experience was great and the ambiance was great also. We had a wonderful server and very tentative. As tasty as the food was, maybe the french dip sandwich doesn't have to be as well done as it was and the onions were very done (burnt) but none the less the sandwich was eaten because it was so good.
Enjoyed Easter brunch there with my Mom. She is hard of hearing so we had a pretty quiet table which was nice.
