The Florence is a beautiful and modern Italian restaurant. One of the keys to the success of this restaurant is its dedication to using only the finest ingredients. The kitchen staff makes everything themselves, with prep cooks coming in the early morning hours to cook sauces and make pasta by hand from scratch.The Florence's dedication to authenticity expands to the equipment they use. In the center of the dining room is a wood-fired oven that is used to cook the pizza and give it that perfectly crunchy crust. Besides the pizza, The Florence's menu bounces between classic Italian dishes and more modern international fare. Some of the most popular entrees include a Margaret duck breast with persimmon, confit mushrooms, pecans and rice grits benne as well as a wood-fired pork rib with potato fritters, baby cabbage and a brown butter carrot purée.
