Some cute people, patrons.....I expect to have cute patrons when dining.....interior design of restaurant was classy .....
This spot is outstanding. I have had dinner here twice now and both times the entire meal has been off the charts. The calamari appetizer was spectacular, something which was somewhat unexpected being from the Midwest as compared to the coast where I have had it in the past. In addition, the t-bone steak main course was cooked perfectly and was tender with well-cooked asparagus. An outstanding meal and quiet atmosphere with great staff.
My favorite restaurant in Omaha, hands down. Delicious food, quiet, romantic atmosphere, fabulous service. Love.
Consistently terrific food and service. Have gone there for over 20 some years, ever since they first opened and have never had a bad experience. One of the best in Omaha.
We are Angus beef cattle ranchers and both of my daughters said the steak ( one filet, one ribeye) was the best they had ever eaten. I had the medallions and they were good. Clam chowder soup was magnificent. Wish I could have ordered a glass of wine, but only sold by the bottle. Delightful atmosphere and attire ranged from sweatpants to suitcoat/the. Waited was excellent as was every staff member. Coffee was perfect.
Server had too be reminded of everything we asked for. Not a great experience like our first one was. Disappointing.
Wonderful food in a beautiful setting. I had the duck and hubby had a steak. The steak was melt in your mouth delicious and the duck was exceptional with an orange glaze. The service was top notch and they have signature cocktails.
Celebrated a couple of friends birthdays at the Flatiron. Service was spot on. The food was delicious and the vegetables sides outstanding. Total experience well worth the cost.
Our server was fantastic. The quality of the food goes without saying. Everyone loved each course we ordered. I can’t eat onion or mushrooms - both of which I love, but I forgot to ask to have the pico de gallo on the side of our appetizer. I planned to just pick around the onion, but our server was wonderful and had the chef remake it. He made great suggestions for all aspects of our meal and we had a great discussion about bourbons and scotches as well as wine! This is a fantastic restaurant made better by a great server!
Dining at the Flatiron is always wonderful. We’ve never been disappointed. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries and weddings at the Flatiron.
We had the steak and lobster for dinner. Outstanding and perfectly prepared. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful dinner, as always! We had a last minute addition to our party, and the Flatiron accommodated us without a problem. The salmon entree was delightful, as was the sea bass. Service is always prompt and courteous, and we made it to the Orpheum in plenty of time for the show. The Flatiron is one of our favorite restaurants in Omaha.
We were going to the theater after dinner, and the staff made sure we were served and ready to leave at a reasonable time in order to arrive at the theater. The food was fabulous.
Always love the Flatiron. Delicious food, great atmosphere and lovely service.
I had the sea bass which had outstanding flavor! My partner had the salmon which was prepared exactly to his liking.
For Valentines Day the restaurant was serving the Silver Oaks cabernet by the glass. Although the cabernet would not have been our natural choice with seafood, it was definitely a highlight for us on the drink menu.
The restaurant was full, but the service was well-paced for a leisurely night out.
Everything about our Valentine's Dinner was perfect. The FlatIron focus on the customer's experience is obvious. No wait for reservation which is almost unheard of. We especially enjoyed the side dishes that accompanied our entrees. The Shittake mushroom and fingerling potatoes were our top pick. Will defintely return.
Food, as always , superb.
Music was a little non romantic at times.
Overall, a great experience.
Worth the money, they never disappoint. Service was amazing.
We had a wonderful time at the Flatiron for our Anniversary and Mike, our waiter was amazing! He understood the menu and the wine list, making recommendations that we trusted! I had the Sea Bass, which was so good and sweet and my husband had the salmon with Soft Shell Crab which was incredible! It’s A wonderful place to dine not just eat and leave. Plus the restaurant is so welcoming and pretty! Looking forward to eating there again soon!
What a gem. After spending countless evenings at another local staple, we decided to try the Flatiron. We were very impressed with the ambiance, service, and food quality. Can't wait to come back!
Wonderful, intimate, and romantic!
The food was absolutely fantastic and the service was impeccable. Thank you for an absolutely outstanding experience that WOW-ed my clients.
As ALways...perfect evening...Thank you!!!
Appetizers, drinks, dinner, wine, desserts, port- splendid evening!!!
Excellent...our first time. We celebrated my wife's birthday and was well worth the reviews we had heard prior. Our wait staff were extremely helpful and great. We will be back!
Our first visit to a restaurant we found online. The food choices were excellent and the food presentation was wonderful. Staff was extremely helpful with parking options as we struggled to figure out how to pay at the meter. The staff member actually came out and told us where we could park for dinner and for leaving our car while we attended the theatre. The entire staff was courteous, friendly and attentive. We will definitely return when we travel two hours to attend the theater.
We have been to Flatiron many times over the years. We have never had a bad experience. Food and service is terrific. Flatiron is our favorite place to eat.
loved our two visits in the last two months. glad to remember this great place. will be back soon.
We always love to eat at the Flatiron and then attend the Orpheum theater.
It's always a wonderful place to eat, the food is great and the ambience cannot be beat.
We hope to have many more wonderful meals and evenings there.
Always a consistent experience. We love the Flatiron.
We ate here before a performance at the theater. Got right in with reservation, service was great, and the food was excellent. Really enjoyed the squash appetizer, and the old fashioned was one of the best I've had (kudos to the bartender). They also made sure that we were able to finish with plenty of time to walk to the theater. Will be back.
Everything was excellent again We had a new server named Grace, and she was fantastic!!
Fantastic. Can say enough good things. One of my favorite places and I intend to visit as often as I can.
One of my favorite restaurants in town and also one of the best in ambience. The food was very good
Really small but very nice. Our waiter was very nice, and the food was really good. We would go again.
Best service in Omaha. Romantic & classic. Will be back again & again.
I'm from Vancouver, WA and go to the Flatiron every New Years Eve with my partner, brother and his wife and 2 young twins. Have done so since the twins were born and just had our 5-year "anniversary" of going there. I love to eat out and travel a great deal so consider myself very fortunate to experience a wide array of dining from the quick sandwich to a 5-star cafe. The Flatiron is no doubt one of my favorite stops in the US! Everything about the dining experience is outstanding: food, presentation, ambiance, service. And we were fortunate to have Colin as our waiter this time. He was wonderful with the 4 and 1/2 year old twins (and with us adults as well). Already looking forward to NYE 2018! Ann
Amazing food, not too bad service, and perfect to bring in the new year for me and my wife.
We have been going here 1-2 times a year for the last 4 years. As always the food was great and the chef is amazing. The only disappointment was during desert because they no longer offer the chocolate tulip cup. This was what my wife and I look forward to on our anniversary but it is no longer available. Maybe need to find a different restaurant. Wife was really disappointed on our anniversary due to this.👎 I know it is fairly small issue but it was important to us.
Fantastic! Great menu. Excellent service.
