The Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar-Seattle
Food was great, service was great. We went early in the day so it was quiet. Overall great experience.
The food dishes we ordered were average in preparation, taste and quality for this type of restaurant and the service was very good. The area of the restaurant where we were seated was quiet and had a decent view of the bay.
I feel my experience was skewed being an off-season, rainy Monday night. I had made a reservation for 7:30pm, which apparently the day crew neglected to inform the night staff about. Being that they had not had any customers in over an hour, they were in the midst of closing early when we arrived for our reservation. They served us anyway, but it was clear the food was pulled out of the fridge and reheated (bread, chowder, etc.). I have dined here before and had a much better experience. That said, I appreciated that they stayed open for us.
We went for the Thanksgiving meal special. It was INCREDIBLE! Turkey was delicious. The sides were fantastic. The clam chowder was by far the best we've ever had. We got to take home TONS of leftovers. I could've done without the clam/mussels course because I don't like them (except for in chowder) and also because there was so much other yummy food to eat. All in all this was amazing and I will do it again next year! I will come back before then, too, because I want to try their other food.
My ONLY complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant but with Open Table. There was a problem with the reservation because we had 5 instead of 4 people. There was very little info on the reservation site about the details of the special and it let me make the reservation without problems. As we were driving to the restaurant, they called to say our reservation was no good and that they didn't have space for us. Apparently Open Table didn't update something? I don't know. I told the restaurant we were actually on the way and they said they would make it work and they took fantastic care of us.
Our new tradition, Thanksgiving Dinner. Outstanding food, service and ambiance. We will go to Fisherman's on other days also, but have to for Thanksgiving.
Great seafood, lunch service and views of the Great Wheel & Elliot Bay beyond.
We arrived on time although we have been advised that we were a no show. I told the hostess we had a reservation and she took my name and seated us. We were waited on and ordered a bottle of wine, bread, salad and two dinners. We asked for an extra salad plate and the dressing on the side. We didn’t get an extra plate nor the dressing on the side or the bread and then they brought out the dinners. They took the dinners back in because we were not ready for them. The staff didn’t act friendly or smile. When she brought the check, it was for the wrong dinner which she corrected after we brought her attention to it. Doubt that we’ll be back any time soon
Had an amazing experiance here! The weather was beautiful and we sat outside. Staff was super accommodating and food was spectacular
Atmosphere and food were awesome. Waiter had a bit of an attitude. He could have been more pleasant and attentive.
Booked through OpenTable, advised hostess and waiter but never received my points even after reaching out to restaurant- very disappointed
A very small serving of below average flavor King Crab Legs for $60.
Overall good experience. Service was a little haphazard. Food and drink were good.
I went to Fisherman's for lunch. It's a little inconvenient for the locals, since it's at the end of the pier with the ferris wheel. So go in the tourist off-season.
The service was great. They kept my water glass full, and helped me to decide from a couple of menu choices. Their recommendations were spot-on.
I had the clam chowder for my first course. It was delicious and chunky, and on par with Pike Place Chowder. Yum.
For lunch, I had the Steelhead. The waiter suggested it was a salmon-hybrid fish. If you sometimes like salmon, but prefer a flaky whitefish, you should give this a try. It was delicious with a squeeze of the provided lemon. It was served with a rice pilaf and perfectly cooked/seasoned broccoli.
For dessert, I had the mud pie. Meh. It was a chocolate-coffee flavored ice cream with an Oreo crust and whipped cream. You can do better. I would like to have seen pudding, at the least.
I will go back to Fisherman's Restaurant. If it's not crazy busy, I recommend that you do so.
Spicy tuna roll barely had any tuna. Food was decent. Service was uninspired.
My waiter was nice but that was the only good part of this dinner. I had to wait 45mins for my meal to come out... I ordered the blackened salmon Caesar SALAD. I came here on a Monday night and the place was not overly crowded. So I thought that was pretty ridiculous.
The food used to be very good, but it has become more and more unappealing while the prices seem higher than ever. The drinks were either too sweet or just too strong, not delicious how you would expect for the location. It's sad the overall quality is going down. I hope the restaurant makes a turn and starts having the same quality we saw until a few years ago.
Total tourist trap.. Poor service.. Served our plates to table next to us and after the other patrons told them it was not their plates, they served the same plates to us after 10 minutes of being in front of the other customers.. We declined to eat these plates.. I will never return to this place.
Crab was good, but over priced. Everything else was just average. We got the family fiest for two, very disappointed. It was so cold in the restaurant that our butter was no longer melted once we cracked our crab.
It ia the second time in the last period when I was there and I left disappointed. We took crab menu but they were overcooked, the chouder was average. The shells were ok though.
When I raised it to the server, he seemd he didn’t care.
Again, 2nd time same issue. Will have to find an alternative restaurant. Will never come back there.
The food was adequate however the high cost is due to the location. Great waterfront venue.
Great way to spend an afternoon!
Awesome dinner outside on the deck area. Outstanding service and we all enjoyed our meals. From a great strip steak to some of the best crab I have had in a while. We ended with the strawberry shortcake to share, I highly recommend it. But you do not want to try to eat it alone.
While it was a "special occasion", you would never have known. I requested a birthday dessert via OpenTable and the restaurant had no clue what I was talking about.
On top of that, the hostess station had THREE hostesses, all of whom were exceptionally rude and clueless to helping us find a new table, tell me where the bathroom was and didn't even acknowledge us when we left the restaurant.
This place is a tourist trap. It's sad when their own waiter (ours was amazing, but very upfront and honest) don't respect the management or others who work there at this "seasonal establishment".
It was a great meal overall with a wide variety of food on the menu. My picky eaters found things to eat.
The crab feast was excellent and should be advertised on the website!
Great services with excellent recommendations!
Perfect for appetizers and drinks before going to the theatre. Smoked Salmon was outstanding. The staff was attentive and pleasant. Atmosphere was low key which I liked. Seattle can be high energy so the slower pace, some may think service was slow, was a nice change of pace. I liked it that our waiter wasn't hovering but was there when we needed him. Great experience.
Fishermans is a good seafood restaurant with a good bar selections and specialty drinks. They have a good selection on the menu even for those who don't enjoy seafood. Our dinner was served hot and quickly. This time we ate there on a Sunday evening and it was a lot less crowded than when we've eaten there in the past on a Saturday so we got our food etc a lot faster. It had a great view of the Great Wheel and sound especially if it's warm enough to eat outside!
Prices higher than expected
Avoid the seafood platter appetizer- terrible quality and value
The steak and king crab were delicious. The staff was very kind and friendly. We accidentally knocked over a glass of water and they were very gracious about it. The service was quick and polite. The views were amazing. It's a great place to get dinner and watch the sunset.
There were a lot of options for seafood. Our vegan friend didn't have as many options. The food was good, but the salmon was a bit overcooked. The mussels and clam portions were ample enough to share with our party of five. The Dutch apple cheesecake was delicious.
Our server was extremely pleasant. She stepped through all the options and made frequent checkins and made great suggestions for pairings.
Service was very good, food came quickly & was good, a little noisy and a little dark, we would go back again.
As usually good standard, good food. Nice climate.
Great table under the great wheel .. good food .. slightly high prices but knew that going into the dinner
Our table was not ready. We had to Waite for them to set it up. That was the whole point of making a reservation. Service was slow and rude.
When my meal came it was not what I ordered. Told the waiter and he took my plate away. A couple of minutes later I got one side order that I ordered with my dinner. A couple of minutes after that the waiter brought my same plate back still with the wrong potatoes. When I asked about them he said the kitchen had yelled at him so he couldn't get my potatoes and walked away. Not impressed.
Ordered the Crab feast. Generous, delicious as always. Four of us ate off two Crabfeasts with an extra appetizer. Dessert was a bit disappointing. Plenty to share, but the Shortcake was not really that interesting. Maybe a different dessert.
Sad that the wheel blocks most of the view of the bay now.
It is kind of old fashioned in decor and menu, but the seafood is always excellent.
The place is ok. Mostly tourists...
Family gathered for Christmas celebration. The staff was amazing, Juan was outstanding. Definitely our favorite place to eat. Thank you so much
