About
We went for our reservation and it was closed. Shouldn’t take reservations if it is no longer open
We planned it out in advance, drove for like 35 minutes to try the place. Interior was nice but definitely outdated and the place is ran very poorely. We choose 2 appetizers and 2 main courses, none of then were available. We order other fish and bingo it is not available as well. So we ordered what they have, bacause we didn't want to spend time on a Friday night searching for the alternatives. The food was no good at all!! They also call themselves an oyster bar but they only had one kind of an east cost cheapest oysters for $4 each. However, i don't want to surrende and want my seafood, so I order 1lb of a king crab legs for $120 and it was not a king, super salted crab legs. I don't remember when was the last time I ate that bad...
The one word to describe our experience, was disappointing. The restaurant itself is attractive, with a second floor view of Collins Avenue through the large windows overlooking the street. The menu reads delicious, but unfortunately, their kitchen was not up to the task of creating what the menu writers had created.
First, the service was lackluster, except for the service person whose task it was to keep our water glasses filled...he was excellent. We ordered two cocktails and a glass of wine and it took 20 minutes for it to reach our table, this in a restaurant with only 2 other tables occupied. We ordered the Tuna Tataki as an appetizer and found the tuna off-flavor. The mains did not fare well either. The Herb Crusted Halibut, was served in an orange and mango butter sauce, which tasted more like orange creamsicle. It was a terrible thing to do to a noble fish. The Chitarra Lobster and Artichoke, did have the half lobster and artichokes, but the promised basil and chili was nowhere to be found, except in one basil leaf garnish. The dish was essentially spaghetti with a so-so sauce. The Salmon in a Blanket was a better dish, though the description of it being wrapped in crispy gold potatoes was misleading, and the mustard cream sauce lacked flavor. We did not attempt dessert.
Dinner with an establishment added 18 % gratuity came to $75 a person. For that sum, one should expect a meal of higher quality and at least taste. We would not recommend The Fish.
A bit Over priced but food was excellent!
The food was very good. Was concerned we were the only ones there at 7 pm. Typical of all south beach restaurants, they charge too much for what you get served. No cocktails, only wine and beer.
I made reservations which weren’t needed at all. It was only my husband and I and another table of 8 in the whole restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive. I think he was probably bored because he checked on us so many times. The food was very good - we ordered a Caesar salad, salmon, and the seafood risotto. The food was very good, no complaints just odd that the whole restaurant was empty (we went on a Wednesday night).
Food was awesome but bit pricey.
Food was very good, but very overpriced - especially the wines by the glass!
Great food prep yet pricy. Waiter was attentive.
2nd time to dine in the last few months and it was as good as the first time! The food is simply delicious, not just in the taste (which is mouthwatering good) but in the service/ambiance....we felt like we were their only guests and were treated as family.
Very surprised at how unique this place is. Nestled in the top of South Beach away from the mess, across from the Shore Club. The food was excellent, from start to finish.
I had a bourbon mixture fabbu and the fish Halibut one of the most creative styles I've ever had.
I'll go back every 5, 6 weeks...that good!
Although the food was very good, there was hardly any of it. My appetizer was 19.00 and comprised three bites. My husband and I spent over 200.00 and left hungry. We returned back to our hotel and ordered food at the bar.
outstanding meal in sophisticated setting.Attentie sevice
Excellent food and excellent service. The grilled octopus appetizer was the best I’ve ever tasted!
Food was rather expensive for the quality. My fish was dry, and my wife's vegetables were overcooked and drenched in sauce. The wait staff seemed inept for the quality level the restaurant seems like it is striving to achieve.
The dessert, a chocolate lava cake, was delicious. However the menu incorrectly labeled it as a soufflé. Additionally the menu had some spelling mistakes.
A truly high end dining experience that is worth the price. Our food was absolutely superb in every respect. Servings were right -sized as well. My wife had the cod and i had the salmon wrapped in light breading. Both excellent. The service was impeccable in every regard. Very attentive.
Spectacolo!, great food, superb service and fabulous venue.
We really enjoyed our meal here. Nicholas was our server and he was warm, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was truly great. We shared 1826 App (swordfish and mozzarella cheese), fritto misto, Cesaer salad and sea bass. All were very good and the sea bass superb. The pricing was reasonable by SOBE standards. The space was very nice, but not spectacular and not on the water with views. We recommend this restaurant for the food quality, which was excellent.
Good food, great service. Had excellent seafood and steak.
Unfortunately over priced, otherwhise great food and nice vibes but far to expensive for what you get..
Dirty, hair and two bugs crawled on the table. Left!
Fish on 1826 offers outstanding food with a prime vantage point to watch the activity on Collins Ave. Fine service, wonderful food and good view...we definitely will return!
terrible food, will not go there ever again. small portions for the money, tasteless food
Buenos mariscos..aunque un lugar muy frío y sin ambiente
There was no one else there except two people. Place was empty. Food was good, but for the price I would go elsewhere
Loved it! Everything that we ordered was so much delicious, beef tartar is one of the best I have tried before (trust me, I tried a lot!), cocktails were fantastic, especially The fish, good quality bottles in the bar, the mint is fresh, gorgeous mojitos! They have Brazilian singer and dancers (don’t know every Friday or not), hot, hot, hot. The lounge area for the birthday parties or just friends gathering. Small and big tables, very convenient! Really worth to go. And valet parking in this location is the best option, thank god they have!
