San Jose, California, is one of the 6 locations of The Fish Market restaurant. The convenient plaza location allows for easy parking. The Fish Market has consistently been a great place to eat over many years.
Had an AMAZING dinner! The food is always great here! I have tried "Oster's Rockefeller" at many different places throughout California and The Fish Market is definitely the best! It's a must try! Service is awesome as well!
Their food is not very good because they don’t use seasoning. The fish I had was too thin and had no taste at all. They do t know how to season their food. Will never go back.
We had a perfect day! Wonderful waiter and bus-boy.
Fresh fish is the best!
To be fair, this is one of my favorite restaurants. As always, the service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the ambiance was a nice, quiet atmosphere conducive to conversation. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.
Noise level inside loud. Sat at one of few first come first served outdoor tables. Hostess does not bring you to this area.
On your own! Nice view of parking lot. Trout special was okay. Amberjack was very dry and tough. Asked for additional lemon. Server brought it after several trips to our area. Too late to be used. Since we are new to the area we will search for better fish restaurant.
Everything was fresh & delicious. Good quality fish & salads. We had two appetizers also with a bottle of wine. My halibut was too cooked & dry so I sent it back & it was delicious 😋 second time out. We are looking forward to going back as the selection right now is fantastic of fresh caught ocean fish.
Great evening sat in the bar had a great dinner!
They were out of grand marnier for my husband’s margarita, they were out of corona and our dessert was supposed to include vanilla ice cream and they were out of that as well. I guess deliveries must be on Thursday.
Service was great. Food nothing extraordinary but definitely above average.
Service was excellent. Fish was served immediately off the grill - nice and hot.
We had terrible service. We made reservations earlier that day, we still need to wait 40 minutes.... The food took long, they didn’t gave us bread till later on... the manager was nice
Everything was great --- except ---we had reservations for 6:00 and weren't seated until 6:30 because walk-ins were seated before us since they arrived earlier. Of what use were the reservations?
I'm was such a busy day yet everything was smooth and people were very friendly
Ok it was mother’s day. They were super busy. But our server was never around when we needed assistance all our side dishes were cold, like they staged the plates and just plopped in the main dish as it came out. Overall not thrilled
Food came our very quickly and amount met the price... my only complaint would be that the potatoe dish was on the cold side.. maybe like warm definitely not hot..
Waiter forgot apetizer
Quick with seating a group of nine and the service was wonderful.
Great food! Manager was very nice to check on guests!
Service was a little slow, but, overall, a pleasant way to celebrate my husbands birthday!!
The Food at The Fish Market was so good and the server we had was adorable and very attentive. I will surly go back again. Thank you for a special night with my daughter. AAAA++++++
The steamed veggies were pretty bad, tasted as if the water was dirty. This was the experience on all of our plates. The shellfish was wonderful. The grilled fish we had (yellowtail) was dry and cooked into shoe leather. The service was pretty good, definitely attentive.
Liked the no wait, food was great, service busy but worked out fine.
The Fish Market is a good casual fish restaurant. It has a comfortable ambience and pleasant staff. If you are looking for gourmet dishes, this is not the place. If you are looking for tasty, affordable classic fish, you're in the right place.
Very good service. Our group had a great lunch. Duckett's Bucket is always my favorite.
Always so good! From the service to the food. Best fish ever!
Restaurant was extremely busy and loud. I didn’t know what to expect because I had never been there. Seems to be a very popular place. All in all, I had a good experience and liked our waiter. He did a good job.
We had a birthday celebration and just wanted a quiet dinner with family. It was perfect; the appetizers and meals came out in a timely fashion, were delicious and we enjoyed our time together.
Relaxed vibes at this restaurant - great quality of fish. Service and cleanliness was not top dollar, considering price per entree is $$$
Our waitress was GREAT!
Our family likes this location so much better than Santa Clara....because it is so much more spacious, making the experience less loud.
Food is wonderful at both!! Super Yummy warm spinach salad!!
This is my go to for fish. The quality is very good and consistent, however the service is mixed, sometimes it’s good and other times not so much. I plan to come here often.
The Fish House isn’t event or date dining, but the food is reliable and the service friendly, which is no mean feat when you serve the volume that they do. The most annoying thing is the inadequate parking during the dinner rush, since TFH shares the lot with Black Angus and Pier One Imports. But there’s usually street parking behind the complex — and frankly with all the food you’re going to eat inside, a little walk won’t hurt!
Reservations are a must for a Friday night. The people in front of us asked how long and were told 40-minutes and said "Okay, they would wait". This explains why the parking was a disaster. We were on-time and were seated appropriately. To be fare the food was the best part of it. I enjoyed the fish, wine and even my daughters left over pasta the next day. The wait staff was okay - speedy but hardly hospitable. Seating was cafeteria style and it was noisy. I am not a huge eater, but this was not a big portion of food. This is a good place to go if you have plenty of time and are not really hungry.
Love the Fish Market!
It was very good, there were 6 of us and we able to book right before we went.
Extremely busy!! Food was barely warm
Fish and chips could not be better with scallops. Accompanied by outstanding sourdough, tomatoes and slaw - dinner was a winner.
