Excellent food, service and views!
Three of us had a feast celebrating my wife's b-day. The usual goodness:
- Oyster Rock.
- Hamachi Sashimi
- Tuna Poki
- Crab Cioppino
- Skewed Scallop and Tiger Prawns
- Fish'N Chips
- A bottle of Souvignon Blanc
Everything tasted as good as remember as the one we visit in the Bay Area. Sure bring back old times.....
The damage was only about 200. Talk about seafood overload. YUM YUM Thumbs up!! LOL
Not a bad experience. We've been going here for decades. Solid seafood eatery.
The view is the draw here. Food is just “ok” and service is average. The seats on the deck look like and are less comfortable than outdoor patio furniture. We appreciated the view, but it’s not a restaurant I’d put on my “must go back to” list.
Amazing fresh fish, lots of choices, spectacular view!
Great, fresh and fun. Had a table right next to the kitchen window. Lovely.
Parking is a pain. Took me 25 minutes to circle their lot twice (dropping the rest of the party in lap #1), then drive over to the Midway pier, park, and walk to the restaurant.
Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone way down! It was like cafeteria food. Starting with appetizers the clam chowder was a disappointment as it tasted like flour, hardly a clam sliver in it. The crab cakes were delicious and our favorite part of our meal. I ordered the special pick sea bass. It was an extremely small portion and tasted off. It was $38!!! My husband had the scallops which were small and not that flavorful. I had a stomach ached that lasted until the next day after this meal. We will not be back and very disappointed that the quality of food is non existent!! Our waitress was disheveled and seemed disoriented. Forgetful and truly not on her game. The view is the best part of this restaurant.
We had lunch here for my birthday. I got the scallops wrapped in prosciutto and hubby git the talapia. Both were great, as usual. Roasted veggies and warm spinach salad completed the meal. The Fish Market is always a good pick!
Party of 7 seated for birthday lunch. Combo crab/ shrimp louie, California rolls, panko calamari were all delicious and nicely presented .
Clam chowder also good. And yummy, warm sour dough bread with butter is wonderful.
Jessica was a very pleasant and efficient waitress. We'll be back!
I actually ate there twice this week (birthday events), dinner on the 4th at Top of the Market and lunch on the 6th at the Fish Market. I have eaten at the Fist Market and Top of the Market many, many, time. It is a favorite. That said, this week's meals were the BEST of all the years, both in quality and experience. Thank you.
My Mom and Dads 68th Anniversary. Waitress was fabulous! Mattress d was great in seating us with my Moms wheelchair
Love coming to The Fish Market. My Mom LOVES your red clam chowder and bread👍👍
Easter lunch. Great food and great view. We were in town for spring break. Had a wonderful lunch looking out at the harbor.
My wife and I had an excellent lunch. We had been there a couple of decades earlier, and the restaurant didn't disappoint us. Our waitress, Priscilla, did a fantastic job. We both had the halibut and it was fantastic. Hopefully, it won't be as long between visits the next time.
Beautiful establishment with in and outdoor seating overlooking the waterfront. The raw and cooked fish fresh and very appropriately prepared. Drinks look good, too. Price is actally reasonable for quality and location.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Never disappoints!
Very nicely served upstairs even though reservation was downstairs.
Food and service are excellent, almost all seating has a view of the bay in the downstairs level and for special occasions, Top of The Market upstairs is available.
View of bay was great. The food was good however one in our group of four received the wrong order. Service was not great considering how empty the place was. We had to ask for water, refills, ketchup, etc. We were seated on the covered patio with a great view of the water front. Very noisy and was it hard to carry on a conversation. You are seated very close to the table next to you and the table tops are glass that amplified every dropped fork or water glass. All in all, it wasn't all bad and we did enjoy the evening.
Wonderful, scenic setting for bayside lunch. Service was outstanding. Great fresh chowder and the best fish tacos I've ever eaten.
Ugh!! Been going there for over 10 years and the portions just keep getting smaller and smaller. I ordered the halibut. Pretty tasteful in the past. This time around very un tasteful. For the price would expect more. I get the ambience and view is great but work on the quality please!!!. What’s going on!? We will always be back as this is a restaurant we love because of the memories and traditions when we go to San Diego. Service was superb. Just need to improve on the food quality. After the fire just hasn’t been the same. My opinion.
Very good Italian restaurant. Authentic, well-prepared food. Attentive service. Would definitely return.
Great food, view and service!
Service staff were wonderful, friendly servers..thats it.. take it or leave it....m.
Our server Tyler was fantastic, kudos to him for starting our day out just right!
Always a pleasure. The view, the service, the quality - all great.
Good service. Great waiter. Enjoyed.
Had been here before and really enjoyed it. From Chicago and were back and took my wife there for her birthday. Bad service - we reserved a view and were seated inside - our dinners came out cold. Very disappointed
Perfect lunch with Phil’s service, great food, and table location. Amazing and wonderful!
Food was very good. Sat outside scenery was great. Large menu almost to much to choose from. Service was great. Did get a little noisy..
Food was just ok - we eat out a lot! Not that great for the price— server was good but, very unfriendly- said she was cold.
Awesome spot! Our go to for seafood. Fresh lobster and grilled salmon.
Always a good meal with excellent service. This place has a nice buzz; not too noisy
but lively. It is very popular and can get crowded so I recommend reservations.
It was as good as expected... it was ok... nothing special.
The seafood was really fresh and delicious and that's why we went there. The desserts were less than delicious. The chocolate cheesecake tasted like it came out of a freezer and was not worth the price or the calories.
Great Fish, Great View! The portions are just right and the food is always excellent!
We were celebrating a couples last day in San Diego as they were moving to Texas. We asked for a nice table and we got a round table in corner up against window. Perfect view is San Diego bay.!!!
We were in town from Dallas for a wedding and wanted seafood to finish our trip and The Fish Market was right there by the hotel and the food was awesome.
Had a nice dinner overlooking the water and sunset. Service was good, slightly above average.
