   Food was very good, pub was clean and had a nice feel. The service was the only real issue, a very young g and I experienced team, we had to initiate the ordering of food and drinks on multiple occasions, I then had to ask the team to clear away finished plates and dirty cutlery. I think thee restaurant just needs a bit more assertion and structure on the service with a senior member calling the shots and ensuring that each table is being managed more proactively. We probably would have had another round of drinks but the service just wasn’t there to be able to do this. We actually ordered our desserts but then about 5 mins later another waitress came out to ask if we would like desserts so we had to order again. The overall experience really could have been really good because the food really was great and the facilities are good. We would like to return and give it another go as it could have just been an off day because of the banh holiday.

   We looked at the menu in advance and there were some which stated Daily Menus but on Sunday we told the Sunday Menu was only available. I would advise that they put a little note stating that their Daily Menus is from Monday - Saturday. We were disappointed as we had already in mind what we were going to order. Also, on the Sunday Menu they sold out on the pizza bases. The server was lovely and tried to accommodate us as best as she could

   Excellent staff and experience . We had a Sunday Roast and it was excellent Food piping hot , meat tender and tasty , vegetables all freshly prepared and a good selection. Red cabbage Swede carrots broccoli green beans . We opted for additional honey roast parsnips and they were fantastic . They do other non roast choices on a Sunday The restaurant is in a large conservatory . Most are seated there though some seating in the main pub. On a lovely day there was also a full family friendly garden by the river and a barbecue operating. Choice of two real ales for those requiring and extensive drinks menu . Have also been on a weekday and can thoroughly recommend .

   Had a lovely birthday meal for my mum with my husband, sister and the grandkids. Lovely food, great service and great area for the kids to play. We will definitely be back again.

   Great service, lovely food, and nice venue. Great little play area for the kids (4+2yo), and nice outdoor space. Staff were really attentive and helpful and friendly Top marks

   Fantastic afternoon, thank you Fighting Cock. We definitely will be back. Food Fantastic, staff very friendly. My Dad particularly enjoyed his Apple & Pear Crumble.
