Commended as one of the best Family pubs in the South East 2011, best family pub in the UK 2014 and one of the Top5 pub gardens in the UK 2017.
The pub incorporates a large purpose built conservatory overlooking a one and a half acre garden, backing onto the River Darent. The restaurant has built a fantastic reputation, serving well presented pub/restaurant food with excellent value for money.

My first visit and I absolutely loved the experience. Beautiful pub and conservatory restaurant, friendly staff and well cooked food with a great choice. Definitely going again

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with friends. The service was good and friendly and the Sunday roast was excellent. The only small criticism was that the noise level in the conservatory made conversation a bit difficult.

3 of us had lunch. Great service & delicious food., We all had different main courses & dessert, all were served well & all throughly enjoyed them. Will definitely visit again & recommend to friends & family.

Excellent service. We had an 18month old baby with us who was hungry and asked if they could bring her pasta out as soon as possible and it was there within 10 minutes. Food was very tasty with clean plates and ample amounts. The staff were very friendly and well deserving of there tip.

Another nice experience for a lunch time visit and so good to see families outside in the sun. Good menu choices, had to wait a while for food but no problem for us as we were in no hurry and we could see staff were busy

Food was very good, pub was clean and had a nice feel. The service was the only real issue, a very young g and I experienced team, we had to initiate the ordering of food and drinks on multiple occasions, I then had to ask the team to clear away finished plates and dirty cutlery. I think thee restaurant just needs a bit more assertion and structure on the service with a senior member calling the shots and ensuring that each table is being managed more proactively. We probably would have had another round of drinks but the service just wasn’t there to be able to do this. We actually ordered our desserts but then about 5 mins later another waitress came out to ask if we would like desserts so we had to order again. The overall experience really could have been really good because the food really was great and the facilities are good. We would like to return and give it another go as it could have just been an off day because of the banh holiday.

We looked at the menu in advance and there were some which stated Daily Menus but on Sunday we told the Sunday Menu was only available. I would advise that they put a little note stating that their Daily Menus is from Monday - Saturday. We were disappointed as we had already in mind what we were going to order. Also, on the Sunday Menu they sold out on the pizza bases. The server was lovely and tried to accommodate us as best as she could
