The food was delicious the Place was awesome the weather was perfect very romantic atmosphere there was only another couple at the restaurant. I was a little disappointed with the service especially because it was not busy. This place is normally very busy & it’s worth it
Beautiful location. Quiet atmosphere and good service. Would not order the quail appetizer, again. The pate that was stuffed inside tasted like wet dog fur. My salmon was a good quality filet and cooked perfectly. The lavender creme brulee wasn't the silkiest I've had, but the lavender paired beautifully with it.
Beautiful sitting outside
We requested an outside table, it was cold and they have heat lamps so we were not concerned until they sat us at table without a heat lamp when they were available
They did not offer to put us under a lamp even though we vocalized we were cold
We were celebrating our 46th Anniversary so wanted to do something special. Our son who travels to San Antonio for business every week recommended The Fig Tree so we went for it. Food was excellent & Joseph our wait staff was so attentive & friendly. They even brought us a dessert on the house. Thanks for s great night.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you on your Anniversary! So glad you had a lovely dining experience with Joseph serving you for the evening. We look forward to having you join us again during your next visit to San Antonio.
Excelente comida, todo...absolutely todo delicioso
Visiting San Antonio from Portland, OR. Was very impressed with The Fig Tree. Service was wonderful. I marked it down a little for noise level due to a loud man who was impressed with himself and wanted everyone in the room to be impressed with him too.
Classic indoor dining with view of the River Walk. Excellent service and the whole evening was memorable. Well worth the trip to San Antonio.
Very nice, cozy & romantic! Great food and service too!
Waiter didn’t tell us about the daily meals ... heard it from the other waiters and then scallops for my wife and Chilean Bass for me weren’t melt in your mouth good like I’ve had elsewhere... very disappointed ...
This was our second time to visit and it didn’t disappoint! We’ll be back.
Main courses, beef Wellington and shot ribs, were outstanding, but the latter dish listed carrots but they were minimal. Tiramisu was good, but not a rave. Atmosphere, window table overlooking the river (too cold to eat outside on the lovely tiered patio) was great.
As usual it was perfect. Ambiance, service, food and the wonderful maitre de, Effrid,
A++++ all the way!!!
Been going here for years. Consistent quality and one of the only good places on the river walk
This evening went well, nothing to pick on except they kept turning on the a/c and it got chilly
Service A+, Michael our server was excellent
Food A+, sea bass special was perfect, braised ribs were as good as my Aunt Fran’s brisket
Quiet except for the lady who wouldn’t stop talking about herself and how great her kids were at the 6 top behind us
It is expensive, but fine dining is expensive, and about to be extinct, so pay up and enjoy or just be quiet and move on Dicks past resort
Tomorrow little Rhein review
Great food and atmosphere. Had to request drink refills, which seemed unusual at a restaurant like this.
Great birthday meal. Excellent service and food was delicious. Will be happy to return.
Loved the idea of this and was excited to dine here. However, upon being seated we had a bright light shining down on us from above plus it took awhile for service. After ordering drinks and salad a different waiter brought bread w two slices in a basket that appeared to have been eaten out of and with no butter. Our waiter returned w fresher bread and butter but that was the last we saw of him. From the time of getting my salad it was 30 mins for the meal to come and no one checked in w us. Husband had Chicken Marsala which was good but sweeter than we’ve had before, it’s usually savory. My salmon was nothing special plopped on a bed of spinach. We wanted the Baked Alaska but fearful of another 30 min wait, we bounced from there. Sad because the outside seating is nice.
Wonderful dining experience!!
Service was terrific, food was great, wine selection perfect. Only thing that wasn't perfect was our table was next to the kitchen so lots of traffic in and out, but only a mild distraction. Hostess and waiter were terrific
Excellent food and great service
We brought friends. We were all visiting from out of town. We had a lovely evening.
Very nice place with excellent food and great service.
Very expensive for the quality of food. You’re basically paying for the location and not the food.
Great food & service. Relaxed atmosphere.
Food was excellent as was the service. Had a seat inside by the window so we had a great view of the river.
Excellent dinner venue. Qual appetizer was amazing. Both salmon and redfish main courses were excellent. Overall a great experience even if a bit pricey.
My fiancé and I came to San Antonio for his 30th birthday and we loved the location, ambiance, food, and service the Fig Tree offered. Located on the Riverwalk it was perfect. Very romantic and great food. The portions were perfect.
Wonderful food and service, wine was a little bit pricier than comparable restaurants, place was empty but still had a great time
Excellent ! Excellent ! Excellent !
Plate licking delicious !
Fantastic restaurant! Food and service can’t be beat!
Amazing experience!!!!! Everything was fantastic!!!! I had the Scottish Salmon and it was excellent!
Elegant French American food in a quiet setting. Great for special occasions. Wine list is a big pretentious, but they have very fine wines by the glass selection.
Great food and service!
We had a table in the restaurant's outdoor patio and the view overlooking the Riverwalk and Christmas lights was fabulous. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the roast rack of lamb, lobster bisque and crab cakes. The service was also great, our waiter was very friendly and nice.
Amazing. Lets just leave it at that so enough said.
Great service and food. Relaxing, cozy atmosphere. Nice views of the river.
Best overall restaurant experience ever. Food, service, Ambiance. My wife and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary and this ended up being the perfect place.
We came for my best friends birthday and starting from the scenery to the food to the service everything was amazing. I recommend to anyone looking for a cute place with great food
