A real find. I did a Google search for the best restaurants in the area, found The Fig Tree and thought I'd give it a try. The food was excellent, lovely service from the two waitresses who were very attentive, nice, relaxed and quiet atmosphere, and good value compared to Brighton & Hove where I often dine out. I would definitely return and recommend!

The set menu was a perfectly balanced suite of dishes that just screamed summer freshness. Combined with delightful service and a couple of glasses of well judged wine the evening was a wonderful treat for the senses. Highly recommended.

Always a 5 star experience. The absolute icing on the cake would be carpeting to improve the acoustics.

The tasting menu was just wonderful……so beautifully presented and tasted delicious. It’s a great experience……more than a meal. Staff were very attentive and pleasant, our second visit this year ! And we were not disappointed

Had the tasting menu for 8 plates - excellent variety, quality and all in season. Guinea fowl was particularly good.

I visited The Fig Tree for a birthday treat. The group opted for the 8 course taster menu, the food exceeded all expectations, it was absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional, the staff were true professionals. For anyone thinking of booking this restaurant I say ‘do it’, it was worth every penny and a was a memorable experience, we will definitely be returning.

Our second visit and just as memorable as the first. We’re so lucky to have such a superb restaurant in a small village like Hurst. The tasting menu changes regularly, and this one just tasted of summer. We both struggled to choose a favourite course as all of them were so good. We’ll be back soon I’m sure.
