We were celebrating our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! The food was fantastic and our waitress, Rebecca, was very diligent. The chef made us a special dessert plate too. We will definitely be back!
After spending the last year in quarantine due to covid, This was our first date night out since last year! And it did not disappoint. Service was excellent. Wine pours were generous. Food was impeccable. Hubs got the Elk chop and I got the veal. We shared the octopus appetizer which was OUTSTANDING and the duck confit which was perfect! Dessert was toffee for him and chocolate cake for me, again, excellent.
One of the best restaurants in Charlotte. Our server Jennifer is the best!
Overall the food was delicious. Some of the best I have had at any restaurant. We ordered wine that was decent priced with the normal markup. The only downside was the martini was not good but since we only got one I ordered one, I won’t hold it against them. Suggest they turn down the elevator music but hands down one of the best restaurants in Charlotte. Will definitely return.
BEST and finest dining in all of charlotte and perhaps the best food I've had in my life. The service was stellar, food was exquisite, and our outdoor seating was gorgeous for a small birthday dinner. Cannot wait to return!!!
One of, if not the best restaurant in Charlotte. Not the least expensive, obviously, so not going to say 5-star "value" which I deem as an amazing experience at a price point lower than you would expect, but I still give 4-stars, because although being priced as a premium restaurant and experience, it hits the mark. This was our first visit, but the wife and I will definitely be back.
Excellent service. My husbands veal chop was a bit tough. My mom and I had same dish and our veal was tender and yummy. Stepdad loved his fish, he was quite pleased he could have sides from another fish dish. He is a picky eater. Desserts were all yummy.
Anniversary
The food was outstanding and waiter was extremely knowledgeable.
Always a treat. Great food in a great location ( we ignore the speeders on 7th). Service is impeccable. Great to sit outside in February! Looking forward to Spring!
Fig Tree is rated as the top restaurant in Charlotte, which in itself doesn't really say much, as Charlotte is not known for fine culinary.
The food is decent, not spectacular. It's not refined cuisine, nor is it fine dining, if you use big-city restaurants for comparison. The staff are friendly, though not trained in the high end service that the restaurant's prices should warrant.
My frame of reference is experience dining in globally top-rated restaurants around the world, as well as extensive experience in the industry.
I hate corporate "chain" restaurants, but I would just as soon go to 131 Main in S. Charlotte. It too is not "fine dining," but the food is always good (fresh) and the servers are well trained.
Just fabulous- glad they hours have extended
Fabulous!!!!
The Fig Tree always tops our list when making a reservation to celebrate any occasion. They consistently serve excellent food and the wait staff is both knowledgeable and attentive.
LOVE THIS PLACE! It never disappoints and they just added another heated, covered patio!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner!!! Definitely a great experience!
Rebecca was a great server
The whole experience was fantastic as last year.
Food is amazing, service is attentive but not overwhelming.
We had the quail egg spinach salads, escargot, butternut squash soup, scallops, the fried duck egg gnocchi, for entrees the salmon and filets everything was amazing and the mixed drinks were great too. Great place for high class dining in charlotte.
We come here once per year and are never disappointed. The service and food is always impeccable. The pacing is perfect. You never feel rushed or like you're waiting for the next course. One of our favorite restaurants.
Our service was exceptional. And the food was just as great. The octopus was was wonderful and the soup was spectacular. Thanks for a great anniversary dinner.
Excellent server Rick and entree was good
Food and service were superb! We went for Valentine’s Day and did not feel rushed at all. The cocktails were also excellent. You get exactly what you pay for. Fernando was excellent, he provided great service and recommendations. Will definitely be back anytime we are in Charlotte.
Everything was just perfect, wouldn't change a single thing!
Each course was delicious - started with escargot (the sauce!!!). My husband has elk chop with a coffee crust he said it was excellent. I ordered the filet, it was like butter!! I did not care for the gorgonzola topping and the Red wine reduction was a bit sweet. For dessert we had the sticky toffee cake it was silky and chocolatey. Ice cream was clearly house made and cake was moist. In addition the roasted garlic spread for the homemade focaccia was sweet sweet and hot at the same time.
The wine list was extensive but our wonderful server helped me pick a smooth cab.
My husband has ordered the elk chop here several times this past time the elk was raw in the middle, sent it back to the kitchen returned raw again and he was expected to eat the raw meat I guess. Very strange fine dining experience probably will not return after that with the prices being the highest in the city.
Fig Tree is a wonderful, romantic, unique experience to have in Charlotte, NC. The staff goes above and beyond with communication and attention to detail that doesn't overwhelm you but makes you feel very comfortable in the setting. The food is exceptionally delicious and worth every dollar. The location is a beautiful old house that has been restored, I do wish the interior design was a bit more updated to enhance the features of the restored home - but nonetheless a great ambiance for a date night. Fig Tree will definitely make the list of date nights.
The absolute best dining experience in the Queen City! The food is amazing and service is impeccable. In a quaint & charming historic home. Our favorite place for special occasions, as well as, everyday dining.
Amazing as always... Our server Jennifer is always superb. Thanks for making special days that much more special!
Great food, large portions. Great cocktails and phenomenal service.
It was wonderful.
I've traveled and eaten at
alot of great restaurants
But I'll have to say this is
My favorite!!!
5 star all the way around. Then food and service are 2nd to none on the region.
I’ve always enjoyed dining at the Fig Tree for last 10 years! I highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience... Chef Greg is creative & attentive to all details.
The food and service have been great every time we've gone. Somehow with the tables spread out some (I presume), this was a pretty noisy visit. That wasn't expected and did make our visit a little more challenging than normal. A lot of, "what, I can't hear you" at the table.
Food, service and ambiance was exceptional! I would eat there every day if I could.
Excellent as always!!! Wine with many to choose from. Compentent and attentive wait staff, and socially distancing in the restaurant with staff wearing masks and hand sanitizer at the entrance, Could improve the parking...
