   We decided to eat at the bar tonight. Mark is always exceptional with his suggestions and service. We went with an all appetizer meal, starting with the escargot, then the scallops special, foie Gras and the buratta. Each dish has an unusual preparation and they're all wonderful. We make time to get here anytime we're in Charlotte and it never disappoints. Highly recommend!

   It's a lovely restaurant. We felt the wait staff was overburdened. It took quite a while for our server to reach our table for the first time. Took a long time to receive a cocktail .. The Cocktail was excellent when it did arrive. Entrees were excellent, but once again, took quite awhile to be delivered and not as hot as we would like. In all, we did not feel the experience was a good value.

   My husband and I traveled from Charleston to celebrate my 40th birthday. We wanted fine dining and The Fig Tree lived up to the standards. We ordered the sea bass and salmon. We also added calamari to our salads. I had the jalapeño cocktail as well. The sea bass was perfect! It paired so well with lint& potatoes, just delish! The texture was on point and everything melted in my mouth! We also ordered the banana Banana Split Entremet. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive! I look forward to dining at The Fig Tree again!

    First time at the Fig Tree but definitely won’t be the last. The food was incredible, wine list extensive, and the service outperformed several Michelin stars I’ve visited. Quiet, unassuming exterior had me wondering what to expect but this is easily the best restaurant in Charlotte, if not North Carolina

    This was our first time dining here and it was outstanding! The hostess was very welcoming and friendly and our server, Suzie, was very knowlegable and efficient. If you are a cocktail lover, be sure to get a featured cocktail. We each got one and both were excellent. The fresh focaccia was perfectly baked and flavorful, served with a roasted garlic spread and infused olive oil. All of the savory dishes were expertly cooked and plated. We got the sea bass and elk. My entree and sides were hot, not just warm or tepid, which is sometimes not easy to get the timing right on. They were able to make an accomodation for my dairy intolerance for my potato side dish with no issue. We got the beignets and apple tarte tatin for our desserts. My husband loved the beignets. My apple tarte tatin was not a traditional version, which is fine, but this interpretation wasn't to my liking. Our server took it off the bill, which we weren't expecting, but was very gracious. Overall, the experience was excellent and we were very impressed.

    Good cocktails, food and service. Easy parking and reservations. Upstairs was a little cold and not very interesting. Request downstairs tables. Prices are a bit above average but not a bad value.

    Outstanding!! We celebrated 40 years!! From start to finish, everything was excellent!! Pear martinis DELICIOUS! Our food choices met are expectations. I loved that soup or salad was offered with meal and not an additional cost. Service was excellent! Will definitely be back for other occasions! Thank you so much!

    The waiters brought the appetizers and as soon as we were going to start eating , they took the three dishes away from us. I’m sorry for the other table that received our “untouched” food. The water should never have done that!

    We were so lucky to just happen to find this on a one night stay. I had lamb partner had veal. All delicious and scallops appetizer was outstanding. Also loved beignets for dessert.

    Really enjoyed our dining experience at The Fig Tree for my husband's birthday. We ordered the special stuffed Dungeness crab as an appetizer and wish it had been a little warmer but otherwise, the food was great and we loved the simple but unique menu. Service was outstanding and the wine selection is one of the best we've found in the city. Recommend for a special occasion or night out, the unique atmosphere and high-quality service, menu, and wine selection will keep us coming back for years to come.

    Fig Tree is what all restaurants should aspire to be. Excellent service, drinks, food and ambiance . This is the meal I look forward to every time I am in Charlotte. From the creative soups and cheese plates to the specials each touch is top notch. Specialty dishes like ostrich and dungeonous crab thermadoor add to the excitement of our visits. John was an excellent server and you could tell his experience in the business. Asking details down the what kind of ice my fiancé would like in his bourbon. Once again I was too stuffed for dessert but what a offering. Compliments to the chef for another great meal and to the bar for making my chocolate martini the exact way I like it. Special thanks to the front of the house and their warm greeting every time. Can’t wait til next time!

    We sat outside on the heated porch, which was nice, although it does face a busy street, so there’s a fair amount of traffic noise. Overall this was a very nice meal/experience. I had the special crab appetizer, which didn’t measure up to what I was expecting. It was not very hot for one thing, and overall just didn’t have much flavor. My husband had the escargot appetizer with Gorgonzola sauce, which he enjoyed. I had the filet with Stilton, over sautéed spinach and mushrooms, served with a polenta cake. Filet was okay, surprisingly not as tender as I’d expect a filet to be. Stilton was not very flavorful. The mushrooms/spinach were nice with the meat; the polenta cake was bland and had little flavor. My husband had the special sturgeon entree, which was served over risotto and mushrooms, topped with a lemon caper sauce. He enjoyed it very well. We shared the banana split entremet for dessert, which was delicious, especially the banana ice cream and fudge sauce. Our server Fernando was excellent, very knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive.

    Options for gluten-free desserts were disappointing; i.e., ice cream/sorbet. We understood that the previous (excellent BTW) pastry chef had left and the new pastry chef had not had time to develop a full assortment of desserts. We look forward to a more complete dining experience when we return (which we hope will be soon).

    Our experience was wonderful. All of the food was great, & our server Michael was very knowledgeable on the menu. He gave us many recommendations. The cheesecake could be improved, but we still enjoyed it. The sea bass was absolutely amazing. Will definitely go back. The music was also something I loved very much. Thank you for making our date night so special !
