The Fig Tree Restaurant - Charlotte, NC
The Sea Bass and Lobster dish was awesome!
A hidden gem with great food , ambience and service.
Amazing meal. Great service. Elk chop was delicious. My only suggestion would be that they should warn people about all the construction going on around them. Most of the roads were closed. Took us about 15 extra minutes to get there.
Delicious food and excellent service. It was on the expensive side but definitely worth it for a special occasion. We were celebrating our anniversary, as were three other tables around us. We were wished a happy anniversary by the hostess as well as our server and were given a little extra treat because of it.
My wife and I went to The Fig Tree to celebrate our wedding anniversary and couldn't have been happier. All aspects of the evening were outstanding. The wait staff was excellent and the food spectacular. We tried the appetizer special of oysters three ways and the burrata for starters. My wife had the scallop entrée and I had the grouper dinner special. We also shared a special chef made peach and cherry fruit tart with bourbon ice cream. In addition, the wine list was as impressive as first reported. I highly suggest making this a must try on your list, and we will definitely be returning.
Awesome! Food was spectacular.
The elk chop presentation was terrible and it was disappointing as far as the taste. My husband comes to Fig Tree specifically for that dish and he was very disappointed. Eddie was enjoyable and efficient.
This was an exceptional experience, and the best meal and service that I have had at Fig Tree ever. It was truly a wonderful experience. Our server, Jennifer, was beyond compare. She was knowledgable, always on spot, and entertaining.
Very consistent. Decent service. Food was excellent
Food, wine and service were outstanding (thanks again, Natalia). The peanut butter s'mores dessert is a must-have. My only negative comment is the noise level inside is very high...we had to move outside to the covered porch. But the porch has a great ambiance and it was a lovely evening for an outdoor dinner so...five stars it is.
Again an outstanding experience. The Cheese board, Oysters, and Elk Chops were awesome.
Outstanding start to finish
Great place for business
We went for our 30th anniversary. We've been before for special occasions and for years, the restaurant has been consistently good. The wait staff was responsive without being obsequious, the presentation was excellent, and the food, as always, was imaginative and superb.
By far my favorite restaurant in town. I bring all of my out of town guests and everyone loves it.
Great restaurant to celebrate our Anniversary. Food is fantastic, service is personal and professional and atmosphere intimate. Highly recommend.
The food was amazing and came out rather quickly. I had fried oysters, they were super fresh, juicy & creamy. I had a veal dish as my main, the spinach & asparagus served atop it was outstanding as was the truffle-butter sauce it came in. Finished off the meal with their cinnamon-sugar beignets (however its spelt). They were delicious little donut like spheres that had a rich coffee icecream alongside it, super tasty. Would definitely go back if ever I find myself in Charlotte again. My server was awesome as well, had a nice smile and didnt seem to judge me on the amount of wine & champagne I had.
We have been there many times. It is always exceptional. However, last night you allowed a lady to bring a collie in and lay under her table. The dog was clearly not a service dog and it was above and beyond unacceptable. A fine dining restaurant is not an acceptable place for a pet! If you were a McDonalds that would not have been allowed. If I wanted to come in barefoot that too would not be allowed. I owned some restaurants and we would get written up by the health department if the dumpster door was left open. You should not allow “dogs” or pets in a restaurant period. So some random dog laying on a carpeted floor can not be considered “acceptable” either. If that person truly cant live with that rule, then get take out and leave the dog at home.
Everything was exquisite.
Major issue for us was the noise level. The room wasn't overcrowded, there just needs to be some sound absorbing material around. It was difficult to have a conversation with my wife.
Couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Perfect food, wine, and service
Food was delicious service was excellent. Jennifer our server explained the special and the dessert to us. She was both professional and friendly. This restaurant is our go too for special occasions
Superb. Food great, lovely, quiet room, good service. Beautiful house with lots of character. The only reason I do not give food and value a full "5" is that, for the the sea bass with lobster tail entre, the lobster tail had little taste and added an extra $20 to the entre cost. The dish would have been much better without the lobster tail, which was not necessary anyway--the sea bass portion was generous. Still, we had a great evening. I would just recommend for customers to take a closer look at any entre that is $20 more than all the others and reconsider. The foie gras appetizer and salads were superb, as were the champagne and wine.
Beautiful setting for celebrating our wedding anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Service was amazing! From the wine recommendation to the all around attentiveness.
This is the place my husband and I go to for special events. We are never disappointed with either the food or the service. The restaurant is beautiful and the people that work there are genuinely concerned that you have an excellent experience.
Great service, great wine, and wonderful food. The portions are huge...next time we go we have definitely decided to split an app and then split the Elk or Lamb. We had both entrees, and while they were phenomenal, we struggled to eat it. After a break, we split the goat cheese cheesecake and I am so glad we did. This was my favorite bite of the night. Do not miss this dessert! My only critique was the service at the bar. I know it takes time for quality cocktails, no complaint there, but we sat for a long time before being acknowledged or even given a menu to look over. The drinks were then only OK. I would have preferred wine over what I drank.
The entire evening was perfect. Originally I had made the reservation to dine on the porch but, since it was going to be 94, I called the restaurant to be seated inside and they were very accommodating.
Birthday . One of the best restaurants for atmosphere. Better experience than last year. Only wish there was more variety on menu
Everything was incredible!
Beautiful place. Very attentive to us throughout dining. Amazing food.
Fig Tree was excellent, as expected. Service was particularly good, friendly and comfortable while still formal enough and appropriate for a nice night out. Especially loved the appetizers-agnolotti and foie gras.
Wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend
Menus change and so it has since my last visit to Fig Tree. They've replaced their fantastic escargot in garlic sauce with a dish less appealing. The tastiest component in my veal scallopini was the over salted spinach. Since my dining companions enjoyed their meal, I'll chalk up this experience to my poor choice on the menu.
Don't understand the hype - we really wanted to love it! The food was good, but not impressive. The windows and blinds were dirty and the interior decor left something to be desired. Dining in their outdoor space would have been a better experience. Attentive and professional staff saved the dinner overall.
Gary Guthrie was our waiter and he provided very attentive service. The food was superb! I can highly recommend The Fig Tree for Food, drink and especially service!
This is a very well run restaurant the Chef and service staff are superb!! Food is outstandingly well put tougher!!
Outstanding meal and service. Natalia was wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu choices and provided some excellent choices. The facility is warm and cozy. We will be back!
