The Fig is a casual neighbourhood restaurant, serving small plates from around the world. Expect a cosy, low lit interior, friendly staff and flavourful, unstuffy food; made with love.
We always have plenty for everyone; including vegan and gluten free dishes.
Located right in the centre of Rye, a short drive from camber sands.
We are open for Brunch, Lunch and dinner.
Brunch and lunch walk ins only, bookings for dinner.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS IN FOR DINNER SERVICE!!

During the day you can bring well behaved dogs when we are walk in only.

Incredible restaurant. Ordered 6 dishes and each one was absolutely amazing, cannot fault a single thing. The team here are very friendly too, fast service and friendly relaxed atmosphere. Special mention to Rosie, our waitress who was lovely and helped make our 4th Anniversary a good one!

We were staying in Hastings and found The Fig restaurant online whilst looking for something special. My wife & I love tapas, but some are not as good as others. Every dish at The Fig was bursting with flavour. We shared five dished between us and loved every one of them. Every dish was prepared to order (no pre-made batches) and everything was made with fresh ingredients, clearly selected for their flavour. Will definitely be going back next time we're in the area.

The table and chairs were tucked into a very small space on the way to the restrooms and to other tables so every time anyone wanted to walk through we needed to squeeze ourselves… The food was no more than OK (at best)

Compact menu however we had 5 dishes all of which were delicious. It was my birthday and we were given a glass each of Prosecco on the house which I thought was a lovely idea & much appreciated. Service was friendly, efficient & restaurant was nicely decorated with a good ambiance. Highly recommend.

The Fig never disappoints, the food is always full of flavour and the variety of dishes is great. We love small plates and sharing with each other and the service is always friendly and efficient We are lucky to live locally and it’s one of our favourites!

Had difficulty using the time consuming nonsense that purports to be a booking system. So visited place in person and a very kind waiter did the job for me. The meal was excellent as was the service. Call me old fashioned but what is wrong with ringing an establishment to book?
