The Fig is a casual neighbourhood restaurant, serving small plates from around the world. Expect a cosy, low lit interior, friendly staff and flavourful, unstuffy food; made with love.
We always have plenty for everyone; including vegan and gluten free dishes.
Located right in the centre of Rye, a short drive from camber sands.
We are open for Brunch, Lunch and dinner.
Brunch and lunch walk ins only, bookings for dinner.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS IN FOR DINNER SERVICE!!

During the day you can bring well behaved dogs when we are walk in only.

The table and chairs were tucked into a very small space on the way to the restrooms and to other tables so every time anyone wanted to walk through we needed to squeeze ourselves… The food was no more than OK (at best)

Compact menu however we had 5 dishes all of which were delicious. It was my birthday and we were given a glass each of Prosecco on the house which I thought was a lovely idea & much appreciated. Service was friendly, efficient & restaurant was nicely decorated with a good ambiance. Highly recommend.

Had difficulty using the time consuming nonsense that purports to be a booking system. So visited place in person and a very kind waiter did the job for me. The meal was excellent as was the service. Call me old fashioned but what is wrong with ringing an establishment to book?

The Fig cuisine and ambience are exceptional. We had the tasting menu ordering 9 dishes for 4 of us ; each dish was curated with elegance and aplomb. Totally delicious. Service was excellent too. We go back time & time again , booking in advance. We adore the Fig.

Delicious food for sharing!! Fresh, flavoursome, healthy and nicely presented. Went on Friday and loved the food so much we went again on Monday.

We live in Rye and this is our go to place for brunch and dinner, particularly when we have friends staying. Delicious, well presented and lots of choice for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. The sharing plates are generous, 6 between the 3 of us was perfect (and not carb heavy) leaving just enough room for 3 yummy desserts! The service is super efficient too, warm and friendly. We will of course return! Thank you Rosie and your fabulous team
