The Fifth: Fireside Patio and Bar
The Fifth has a lovely open and airy atmosphere - not too loud, not too quiet. It is small and the tables are close but not in an uncomfortable way. Food is very good and cocktails are amazing. The service, however, is stellar. Great little neighborhood spot. Great patio!
Disappointed they didn’t allow us to sit on the patio even though tables remained empty the entire time we were there. Waiter was just ok. Service could have been better considering they had a ton of staff. Food was good and the restaurant is beautiful. We will be back and hope they work out those things.
Hands down the best meal that my husband and I have had in the Dallas area in a very long time. The food was perfection from the ahi tuna wonton appetizer, salad, salmon, steak... all the way to the skillet brownie at the end. Jason was an outstanding server - great suggestions, attention and overall personality. The outside patio is cozy and inviting and the interior is tasteful and classy. Who needs to go to Uptown and spend too much on a marginal dinner? Head to Richardson and have an amazing meal in a cozy, friendly neighboorhood locale.
Not only is this a great restaurant, but it is also a great place to grab a drink on their outdoor patio.
The Fifth is a wonderful neighborhood gem located in a quiet neighborhood in Richardson...but it is so much more. The place has a hip/cool vibe, a wonderful patio and really great food at very affordable prices. It’s upscale enough for a special occasion and it’s affordable enough to go every night of the week. The chef and mixologists are creative, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. No matter where you live in the Dallas area it’s worth a trip to check it out. It’s not just a great Richardson restaurant, it’s a great restaurant period.
The blue cheese fondue was amazing! Great atmosphere!
Food and drinks were great. Looking forward to coming back in the future.
A terrific neighborhood place. Great food, great service and a wonderful patio.
Excellent. Great patio too.
We had a wonderful time! Very posh and upscale. Food was delish! Atmosphere is very enjoyable. Would highly recommend.
Service was great. My boyfriend got the veggie pasta and the serving size was smaller than he needs. Which means he ordered a brownie to fill him up and loved it! All in all a great place to go.
We are on the patio and it was very romantic until they sat a family with 3 small kids right next to us. Loud kids. So we hurried our meal up and tried to leave ASAP. Our waiter was super. The tenderloin was perfect. I actually wanted to eat here because they gave four billets red ale on tap and this is our second time eat here and they were out of the beer both times. Shaking my head.
Great patio, bar and dining areas. Bartenders very knowledgeable and friendly. Server was also knowledgeable and friendly. Food and drinks were great. Plan on spending time looking for parking?
B’day. Beautiful day on their lovely patio.
Great patio. Loved the neighborhood feel. We will be back!
the food was fine. I thought it was a little pricey.
Great food! We have visited twice and had different entrees each time. Ceasar Salad is delicious. They have a starter C&C Board that I would recommend. We had the Salmon absolutely delicious Shamerica, did an outstanding job as our server
Three of us met for lunch on a sunny early Spring afternoon. Although the restaurant was finishing up some last minute remodel updates on the patio, they cleaned an area and table for us. Nice ambience, which will only improve as the final touches on the recent remodeling are completed.
The food was very good. I enjoyed the Chicken Sandwich, which is an interesting change to the usual style. Homemade chips were very good, if just a bit greasy. The Ahi salad that another in our party had was nicely presented and very good. The third in our party had the burger that looked great, as well. Very nice selection of lunch fare. And, we enjoyed the warm sun on a slightly cool afternoon!
Qorvo business meal. The portions are too small for the money. Also, there were many things “not available”, so perhaps work on supply and demand. The service was outstanding.
We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation for 4 at 7:30 PM. A party of 6, also with 7:30 reservations, arrived a few minutes after we did. That party was seated within a few minutes of their arrival. We waited 30 minutes to be seated in a booth adjacent to, and the same size as, the one in which the party that arrived after we did was seated. Other empty tables sat unused the whole time, awaiting a "large party", that finally showed up around 8:30 PM. Once we were finally seated, one of our guests ordered a beer off of the menu. A few minutes later, the server returned and informed us that they were out of that beer. Then, we ordered our dinner, and my wife and I both ordered the Manhattan Strip Steak. A few minutes later, the server again returned to tell us that they were also out of the Manhattan Strip Steak. We chose other entrees. As for the food itself, the brussels sprouts with bacon and tear drop peppers that I got as sides with my replacement entrée were hard as a rock and there were about 4 pieces of bacon, each about the size of a pencil eraser. In fairness, the filet that replaced my original order and the salmon that my wife and one of our guests got were good. The Veggie Pasta was just ok. Full disclosure - the manager gave us a free appetizer to make up for the wait. (It didn't.) This may simply be growing pains for a relatively new restaurant, but there are too many other restaurant options in the area to waste any more time on this one. This was a bad experience and we will not go back.
Hi There, Thank you for the honest review of your experience at The Fifth. Regardless of being a new restaurant; waiting for your table, menu options not available and underwhelming food is an easy way to ruin a meal, and that is never OK with us. I'd love to invite you back in for a meal on us to make up for such a sub par experience. Feel free to contact me on my cell or direct message at your convenience. The food and service were outstanding. This was our second time since the opening and we will be back
We stumbled upon The Fifth by accident but thoroughly enjoyed it. The cocktails, food and service were all phenomenal. I highly recommend the signature Sazerac cocktail , fried Burrata app and Filet entree were definite highlights.
Michelle our wait staff was excellent. She new the menu and made recommendations that we found delicious. The place filled fast and there was a wait at the door when we left. Reservations are definitely recommended.
We had a reservation but did need to wait for about 5-10 minutes for a table. The service, the food, and the drinks were wonderful. The place was a little loud, and I would request a more private table next time I’m going for a romantic date. I’ve recommended it- the food is great.
Very enjoyable experience overall!! Food was good and atmosphere was extremely welcoming and relaxed.
Good food good service. I wish I was a little quieter
This is a neighborhood gem! It is the 3rd or 4th generation at this location, and is the best yet. The ambiance is lovely, modern, but still warm and inviting. I ordered the salmon and it was delicious. Nice wine selection and our server was attentive, kind and informative. We had a delightful experience and will be back soon!
Food was delicious! Highly recommend the short ribs. Inviting atmosphere.
A wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Big city quality and innovation in a quiet neighborhood center. High quality food and drinks and prices that let you come as often as you would like.
Very nice restaurant. The food was delicious. However, for the cost, the portion size is small. The price is a little high for lunch. I look forward to coming back.
Food was excellent. Management was present and wait staff friendly. Drinks from bar were slow but they were very busy and still working out some logistics. Can’t wait to return!
We were a little early for our reservation but we were seated right away. The restaurant was full and lively. It's a beautiful restaurant with framed pictures of iconic Richardson businesses. The drinks were slow to come to the table each time, but the bar looked very busy with patrons so I'm sure that's why. We had the charcuterie board, the salmon and green beans, braised short rib with whipped potatoes and ordered an extra side of mac and cheese and sweet corn brulee. The short rib had delicious flavor but was just a little dry. The mac and cheese was a little bland. Everything else was absolutely delicious. The service was a little slow, but not terribly so, and we love the local ingredients and that they incorporate neighborhood favorites like Sweet Firefly! Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back!
Amazing dinner, especially the salmon and burger. Remarkable desserts! Great decor!
This is a great new addition to the neighborhood. Food was really good, service was good-overall a great experience!
Fantastic service and excellent food!
Excellent all the way around. Great atmosphere. Perfect for date night or friends getting together for drinks. Although families could come it is more of an over spot. Love the cool and hip vibe. Will be back again and again.
This is a great new restaurant that we will be going back to often. It has a feeling of a neighborhood gathering place with delicious food .
Food was a little slow getting out to the table but I attribute that to still working out the kinks in Week1. Staff was super conscious about it though and we weren’t in a hurry. The food didn’t disappoint! The atmosphere was great! Has. Great vibe! I think we finally have a location that will be sustainable which has been long overdue! Nice job with the build out! We will be regulars!
The Fifth has just opened. You wouldn't have known it as service was smooth and food was good. We have visited each restaurant in this space, this being the fifth, hence, the name. I hope this is the last and stays for a long time as it was very good. The owners have deep backgrounds in restaurants and have put a lot of thought in this neighborhood gem. Jason answered all of our questions and offered many suggestions. We decided to each try a different entree to get a better feel and both were good. I had the beef short rib and my husband had the salmon. It is not a huge menu but I would rather have them do fewer items really well than have a larger variety done so so. We look forward to eating here often! Prices were very reasonable.
