We we’re staying on site at the fields and had reservations, but as dinner time approached so did a rainstorm and we weren’t much in the mood for socializing. Staff went above and beyond and delivered our dinner to our tent!! we offered to come pick it up, but they were so kind to bring it to us to enjoy the privacy of our own tent!

The food was delicious and the surroundings are gorgeous. Just such a fun place to enjoy dinner. You will be sharing a table with other guests, so you will not have a private dinner so be ready to meet new people! Chef Mindy is amazing.

Mindy does a great job using fresh ingredients and puts together a lovely menu. Why go into town to eat when you can have a fabulous dinner outdoors at The Fields?!

The dining experience was very unique and the surroundings were gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting at a table with other guests and chatting. The downside was the food quality, portions and price. I opted for a “no fish” option due to a food allergy. The courses for the evening were fish pate, salad and main course was trout. I was substituted hummus for the fish pate which was fine but it was a large portion of hummus with two very small crackers. The main course was trout and my substitue was a small stalk of cauliflower that was hard and cold served with a small dollop of mashed potatoes and an ear of corn on the cob. We felt for $65 per person this was not a fair value and we left hungry which is never a good feeling. If you are interested in the views and outdoor experience I would recommend however the food quality, amount and price would be a concern for me.

Thank you for your feedback. It looks like we missed the mark on the vegetarian entree and we apologize that it was not up to your standard. Your feedback is important to us as that is where we learn to improve. Usually, the hummus or whitefish pate comes with cucumbers or radish as well as crackers or bread. Did you enjoy the salad and the citrus-blueberry shortbread tart for dessert? Did your partner have the 4-course fish dinner or the vegetarian cauliflower steak dinner as well? Please call me at your convenience as I would like to invite you back for dinner before the season ends. Thank You, Mindy 312-504-8705.

Ol friends connected here from Chicago, Indiana, and Grand Rapids. We loved the venue!! The service was impeccable. Very tasty menu with many local feels. The peach’s , local wine, and trout were all very good. Picked blueberries on the way back to our car. A fun reunion for us in a unique setting!

Lovely setting out in the fields amongst the very chic “glamp”-ground. Super friendly staff and very good multi course meal prepared for us. Will definitely be back! A unique experience off the beaten path well worth the visit!
