Great place to eat, never had a bad meal here! Would highly recommend.
Food was well portioned. Staff polite and attentive.
Staff and food were absolutely outstanding I highly recommend the steak!
Our visit was in the hight of Covid so the tables are in the large event space as to allow for social distancing and not in the usual seating area which is full of character, completely understandable and unavoidable given the current situation. Although the restrictions they managed to deliver an amazing meal and great friendly service.
Lovely setting, good service and friendly staff. We really like this restaurant.
Great food as ever shame it’s got to shut for a month now
Just a very charming place to come and have nice food in a pleasant location, complete with open fire
Absolutely worth the trip! Food was amazing and inventive. We will be back!
Reallly great place to eat. Quality of food excellent. Worth the drive
Wonderful food in an amazing setting. Covid safe quality service.
Great place, great food! Had a great Sunday Lunch here, the nit roast was amazing!
As normal the food and staff suberb together with a Covid19 safe environment. Only thing that I was not happy with are the Yorkshire puddings that I found not up to the normal fantastic quality. Don't know if this is part of the new covid distance rule's within the kitchen? Please bring back the normal large home cooked one's and not what I believe looked like ready made one's. Just a little gripe but feel you need to know.
Eaten there before, just a lovely place to be with excellent service and food
Fabulous food - well worth the journey. It made the most of fresh and locally-sourced ingredients and we had a wonderful evening, thank you. All staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
This pub is a hidden gem in a corner of Kent with some beautiful walks nearby. Shellness beach is beautiful: so remote and literally opposite the Whitstable shoreline. The Ferry Inn offers an excellent seasonal menu with two courses for £23, three for £30. Lovely local produce, balanced really well. Some unusual local ingredients too. Great local pale ale on draft along with a small but decent wine list by the glass. Gutted to not have room for desserts. Dogs are welcome and if you want a table with a log fire beside you then select the bar area. Excellent COVID service and the waiting staff are very welcoming and incredibly polite and sincere. Highly recommend this place.
The food was excellent and after such a good meal , disappointed with the cheese plate ... a sliver of one cheese for nine quid
Best place for a quiet meal with whoever you want. Best food and best service around.
Wonderful service and food as always. I love the use of local food, drinks and suppliers.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch, food delicious as usual. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely cosy atmosphere
One of my favourite places to eat regardless of occasion, the service and food are excellent and I would highly recommend.
The ferry Inn is a beautiful place the food my wife said was the best she has eaten the staff and setting was the best it could be at the moment we are going back and have booked the restaurant so hopefully a better atmosphere
While everyone else seemed to be having the best meal, ours was sadly lacking. Tomato salad was literally tomatoes. I get that there were balsamic pearls and basil jelly but it was literally a bowl of tomatoes.
The elephant garlic was burnt in the veggie main option, leaving me with a bitter tagliatelle dish again it was literally a bowl of pasta with garlic... no bread no cheese
The cheese plate was a lump of Stilton and some soggy homemade crackers/biscuits
We complained at the end of each course but when we came to pay we had been charged for it all and the bar manager seemed surprised and said the chef would welcome feedback... we had fed back!!
The manager took the price of 2 drinks off the bill... poor job. But being British we accepted gracefully and left. Shame as we stayed the night and breakfast the next day showed that the chef could indeed cook!!
Amazing. The quality of this menu and everything about the food is incredible. We live in London and eat out a lot. This food is Michelin star quality for an insanely reasonable price (three courses for £30). The pub is beautiful. Very atmospheric with lovely fires burning. The tables are well spaced and everything was very clean and COVID 19 safe. We will definitely be back.
Excellent food and drink
We've been coming to the Ferry Inn for a long time, but the new upgrades have made for a truly outstanding dining experience. The food was simply brilliant and the service low key but efficient.
Amazing food and service as always! No wonder we keep coming back. This place is such a gem!
Great setting, great food, great service. Couldn’t fault anything at all really.
Very nice staff and excellent food - super helpful and relaxed even in covid times.
Really lovely meal both dinner and breakfast - will be coming back for more
Lovely food, great service would highly recommend for food and the beautiful setting
Lovely as always.
Great service and great staff.
Sadly the cheese board was a let down with only having one cheese.
Bar this everything was good
Good food and venue but disorganised service and rude barman
All aspects of the meal were very good from the venue to the service and especially the food. The new to menu dessert "Isle Of Sheppey Honey" was a treat for my tastebuds.
Great location, ambiance and character, even on a cold wet day. First visit but rather disappointed with the food (Sunday lunch). Having to book on line, leave a credit card plus a terse reminder that you must not be more than 15 minutes late was not a good start - place less than half full - and then service charge added at end. It was good service but should be up to the customer.
Portions were small and the Sunday Roast was OK but we've had much better. Food arrived at table not hot enough, take note kitchen.
For the price charged they must go one notch higher for food and then I would heartily recommend.
Very relaxed feel of this place – comfortable dining room all tables socially distanced, only downside for me was our table which was I think the only one set for 2 people, next to a wall and view of the kitchen would of preferred one of the others, which we did have for breakfast the following day and it was lovely. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Pheasant Wellington was delicious. so was the Battered Cod. Service was well-timed and friendly.
We enjoyed our evening meal. Great selection of food nice to see something a bit different on offer. Really enjoyed the pinot noir. Unfortunately the coconut panna cotta was rubbery and the rose polenta sponge was dry. Otherwise food was perfect.
Would recommend this hidden treasure.
A lovely, and locally sourced, dinner in well organised and covid 19 secure surroundings. We were very impressed and would recommend it to others.
We love this place, have visited and stayed many time 😊
Fantastic food. Very well presented & the taste was Devine.
Would definitely recommend.
Food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and efficient, the ambiance is amazing we 100% recommend and we will be returning very soon. With the situation that’s going on in the world at the moment we felt 100% covid safe
Great location, the food was Lovely and the staff were excellent which made for a very enjoyable evening.
