We celebrated our Anniversary last night. We had Tuna Tartare and Octopus for appetizers they were both fabulous. Entrees were Scallops (biggest scallops we have ever seen) Dry Aged Ribeye 20 oz. Cooked to perfection. Even the garlic fries were fabulous. Finished with Baked Alaska pumpkin ice cream oh my ☺️. Will definitely be returning to be served by Amber great job oh btw the drinks were slammin Chili mango margarita and their version of a Manhattan.
ABSOLUTELY the best food, ambiance, service, prices in town!!!
Apps and entrees all delicious
Service was great, food was fabulous and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing.
Everything was yummy from steak to lamb chops to sushi ! Great new place in NJ !
Ambience and style. Food was very good as well. Hard to not recommend.
Steak was a little over seasoned but otherwise great food and cocktails. Certainly Manhattan pricing mind.
Everyone was very friendly and we will definitely return
My group sampled many of the menu offerings, and everything was delicious. Cannot wait to return.
Wait staff was short handed. We waited for over 20 minutes before we had to flag down a waiter for service. Cocktails were extremely expensive ($15+). Appetizers were excellent but entrees were inconsistent. Ordered prime strip steak medium rare and was served medium. Pork tenderloin was overcooked and dry. Lobster cavatelli was very good. Salmon was good but nothing special. Sides of fries, Brussel sprouts and mushrooms were excellent. Ordered all four deserts and they were below standards. Goat cheese tiramisu was awful. Baked Alaska was ok but weird mix of flavors. Chocolate cake was served with a bitter salted caramel ice cream. Carrot cake with mango was very dense.
Hi, Salvatore, Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with us; we're glad to hear that you found some elements to be excellent, however dismayed that the entire experience missed the mark. We take your feedback seriously and will address as a team so that should you provide us another chance your next visit will be much smoother and impressive, and hopefully with a fully staffed team providing supreme service. Again, thank you for the honest feedback!
Just ok. Promising menu but execution and flavor profiles were lacking for a few dishes. Sushi cuts were way off, desert was overly sour. Steak was really good, but service left a lot to be desired.
Frankie, We appreciate your honest feedback and promise to review this with the entire team so as to remedy the service issues and inconsistencies in the items you had ordered. We would love the opportunity to speak with you further about your visit so as to better understand the issues faced. Please message us if this is something you would be open to. Again, thank you for the honest feedback!
So glad we made a last minute dinner reservation to eat here. Nia our waitress was fantastic, along with everyone else we had an interaction with. The food was excellent - get the Brussels sprouts. Will be heading back very soon.
Fantastic! We look forward to having you!
Overall great experience , only thing I could ask for was more attention to quality of ingredients - use of more local, responsibly raised meats and veggies would raise the bar and make us regulars!
Thank you for your feedback...something already under consideration. :)
Came on that Wednesday during that horrible storm. Miya, I believe, was our waitress name. You can tell she was new but no biggie, because we were there to have a great time & she was a great part of that experience. Ordered 3 sushi rolls, Essex, Lover & Feathered. And each one got better as we finished one. Tartar and Octopus weren't the greatest things in the menu. It was interesting flavors. Cheese threw me off on the octopus & the tuna was just very fleshy. The tiramisu was good, kinda tested like tres leches, but my friend loved it, especially with the basil ice cream. Overall, I would come again. Great decor and ambiance, quiet but perhaps because it was a Wednesday.
Thank you so much, Atoche! We love to hear feedback from our guests. We hope to have you back again soon!
The ambience the food and the customer service at the feathered fox was exceptional. I will definitely recommend to friends.
From the minute we sat down the staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were great and food was fantastic! Everything that was ordered was delicious. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth it. We’ll be going back again!
Simply Fabulous from Appetizers to Dessert... Specialty Drinks were also Refreshing and Unpretentious! I recommend the Blackberry Basil Lemonade Cocktail!!!
Highly recommend this very new restaurant, they have it put together! Steaks are better than Top Steak Houses I have been to, and the Scallops w/ Spatzle were simply excellent. Don't forget to get the strawberry tiramisu!
Don't let the "hotel location" deter you from trying this Exceptional New Gem!
Its shouldn't be missed
I'll be back!!!
This is a great place and the food is delicious. The biggest problem we had was the noise. It was insanely loud (yelling bar goers) as the bar was packed. For us, when we pay the prices like at the Feathered Fox, we expect a quiet softer atmosphere. Again, that is our preference. We enjoy a more attentive quiet environment like in a high end restaurant or steakhouse. We also enjoy going to bars but we were coming out for a nice date night. The restaurant manager is exceptional! Walter was very active in the restaurant, even taking our drink order to get everything moving. He was a wonderful host and is a huge asset to the restaurant. Food was delicious. I had scallops. They were decent but not exceptional. Husband has NY strip which was amazing! Definite must have along with the mashed potato rings. We may go back but possibly may try a week night as Maybe the bar scene won’t be quite as hopping. We wish the Fox the best of luck and will refer to our friends.
Very disappointed in their sushi. 2/10 kind of sushi, just not fresh and definitely highway robbery charging the platter for $75. We were told it was 4 deluxe rolls, but it was 6 pieces of nigiri and 9 pieces of sashimi. Would not complain about the price if the sushi was actually good quality, but that was not the case with this place. We were definitely fooled by an online recommendation for their sushi. Would recommend going to any other spot for sushi. The French fries and cocktails were good tho. And the service was also good. We will not return.
Nice addition to the local dining scene. All of the steakhouse staples are present and nicely executed. The dry aged bone in rib-eye holds its own with some of the best chophouses and the effort given for excellent service enhanced the experience.
My steak was not cooked properly and tough. The service was ok l understand they just opened so l will give them time to improve
What a great experience. The food was excellent from drinks to appetizers to entrees to dessert. I would call this a hidden gem right now, because since it is located within a hotel, the restaurant is not really visible from the street. Hope the place lasts, because I would definitely return!
Ambiance was dead and weird. Oysters were terrible. Opened improperly. The rest of the food just ok. Drinks not good either. Will not return.
Very beautiful place with great food and service.
My biggest complaint would be the lack of masks being worn by the staff.
I will not go back until they are fully masked to protect their patrons.
We found this restaurant through open table and it happened to be the first week they were open. The food was great and the staff were extremely helpful and nice the deal with. With a new restaurant you expect that kinks will still be working out, but we did not feel that was the case at all. Everything was smooth and timely. Will definitely go back for a special occasion type dinner.
Great place. Great food.
So excited to come back!
Our meal was absolutely delightful. My husband’s bone in rib eye was seasoned, seared and cooked perfectly. The sushi was also relished with fresh ingredients and tight rolls. Also, the hamachi crudo was sliced thinly and prepared with care. I would say overall we were pleasantly surprised and our drinks were good (wish the Cosmo was a little less sweet, but the Martini was on point). My only disappointment was the desert menu. I wish they had something that was warm served a la mode or a fun take on a sundae. We will definitely be back again!
It was unexpectedly good restaurant for quite neighbourhood. Nice design, ambience and good food. Just don’t order sushi if you are a sushi snob. Everything else I have tried I liked a lot. Wish they had bigger desert selection!
