Amazing meal, cocktails included. I would give 5 stars, but it was so hot in the restaurant that I'm not convinced it has air conditioning.
Food was excellent. Attentive staff
Delicious food and cocktails
It was a great experience and I look forward to returning!
Good food in a funky atmosphere. Service was attentive. However quality of food did not warrant the high prices.
Picked Fat Lamb because my fiancé loves lamb and they did not disappoint. From the shareable starters to the drinks and entrees everything was delicious. The portions sizes were great but not overwhelming.
The Fat Lamb is one of my absolute favorite places! My husband and I wanted to take my brother someplace he hadn’t been before to celebrate his birthday. This was my choice and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious (lamb ragu, scallops and duck), and they even had a sweet birthday card ready to thank us for celebrating with them! Highly recommend!
It was our first time eating at The Fat Lamb. The food was delicious and the staff was great. We will definitely go there again.
Service was friendly and attentive. And the place was pretty quiet and relaxed. Everything looked and tasted great, except, ironically, the lamb. I ordered the 40$ veal chop, and having never had it before, didn’t know what to expect. The flavor was really nice but it had a chewy outer layer of fat, and even once I got through that the meat itself was fairly tough and I actually got tired trying to carve my way through it. I wasn’t sure if this was normal or not so I didn’t say anything.
But as we left another customer came up to me and asked how my veal chop was (I assumed he was interested in getting it) and I told him honestly that it was tasty but really tough. He said that was definitely not normal for veal. So in hindsight I probably should have said something, but after eating most of it and paying for the meal it didn’t seem right to suddenly complain.
Probably a fluke, and hopefully everyone else finds their lamb to be perfectly lovely.
To end on a positive note I really liked my cocktail, the Midnight in Paris.
Food and cocktails were delicious. Noise level was high with two "cackling couples" who hadn't seen each other in a while. Great place for food.
Outstanding restaurant with great food. We were very happy with the quality of the food and wine and the service. Portions are large especially for the appetizers. It would be easy to make a meal for two with three appetizers and salad and dessert. We got two appetizers and shared an entree. Highly recommended.
We arrived on a week night for a special occasion/anniversary celebration. One other couple in the restaurant eating. The cocktail and pickled beet salad was delicious! One of the beet salads ever! For the main course, my husband had perfectly cooked lamb chops (very good, but pricey) and I enjoyed ricotta gnocchi and lamb ragu. I feel for the price of restaurant it needed a bit more ambiance.
We are regular customers, for good reason - this place is wonderful. We love the food, drinks, ambience, friendly service. We can't say enough good things about The Fat Lamb. Everything is good - get an appetizer, entree and a dessert!
The arugula salad was delicious
Amazing from start to finish. Servers were on top of things and the food was amazing! I recommend trying this place, you won’t be disappointed!
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our server, Dave, was super friendly and provided excellent service. Nick the bartender made amazing drinks.
We were there early, so no crowd. Started with appetizers and special Manhattans and got no further. All good, lots of food. We left happy.
Always excellent food & service! Looking forward to going back
We love The Fat Lamb - we are repeat diners - it is consistently very good - they have great drinks and a variety of foods to choose from - great service too! Try the fried oyster appetizer! And they make the best margarita I've ever had. Honestly we are huge fans.
Our server made great meal recommendations for us and took great care of us. We had the arancini appetizer, duck breast, veal chop, and cannolis. All were excellent.
Our go to destination for date night with my hubby - love the food and amazing service
Chef Dallas and his team never disappoint! The Fat Lamb is a must visit if you are in Louisville. Everything we had was great. Thank you all!!
Melissa was our amazing server
As always, our dinners were totally outstanding
Love the new monster gin cocktail
Great food. Would definitely go back to try other choices.
Great experience, service, and hospitality and amazing food as always. Best compliment....we were still talking about how great the food was the next day.
Loved the goat cheese dip. So creamy and savory. I tried duck for the first time, while I did not personally like it, my friends said it had fabulous flavoring. We will definitely be back.
An upbeat vibe, yet calm and comfortable surroundings. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Interesting menu with excellent paring of ingredients. Owner/chef Dallas made the rounds checking on all his tables. His passion and dedication show how this place is a little gem.
Food was outstanding, looking forward to going back soon.
This was only our third venture to The Fat Lamb. David's service was outstanding, as were his bartending skills. The salmon entree was outstanding, as were the dessert canoli. Chef/owned Dallas came out to visit at the end of the meal. We will be back!
The food was not flavorful and over cooked :( Really disappointed.
I think the bar opened would create better ambiance. Also lighting needs maybe dimming for warmer feeling.
Goat cheese and pitas (appetizer) were delicious - surprised by how delicious the burger was too! Offer a wide selection of beers also.
Food ok. My expectation was ser too high
Good service, but the food was not on par with the price piont.
Waitress had terrible customer service and food was just OK
The food was excellent, but we could barely hear each other talk. And this was with a lot of space between our table and the nearest neighbors. Something hung on the walls and ceiling to absorb sound would help. It got even louder when the Mint Julep Tour bus arrived. Took the joy out of what I hoped would be a special dinner.
With a reservation for a special occasion clearly indicated in the reservation, we were greeted without much courtesy and assigned to the worst table in the restaurant. Spending over $100 per person, our experience did not live up to our high expectation.
Best cheeseburger in Louisville!
