Lindsay is an excellent server: courteous and efficient. The food is delicious. We ordered the gnocchi and the curried salmon (pictured). Both entrees tasted spectacular.
Food was mediocre. Blueberry tart was amazing. Salmon was great on the outside but not cooked the same on the inside. Service was strong. Prices were far from a good value. Duck was good. Lamb meatballs were poor. Hamburger was strong. Fries excellent. Prices not in line with the food quality and the type of restaurant. High potential restaurant. Easily fixed… maybe a bad night. Not trying to be overly critical.
Great menu, great service, neat experience! Will be back!

I'd eaten their carryout before (during pandemic lockdown) and this was my first time dining in. Went for lunch and was so glad I did! We were the only ones there at lunchtime and got all of the attention--smiling attentive service and they were able to handle our accessibility requests. I treated a friend to their ricotta gnocchi w/lamb ragu while I had the paprika they found them and held them for me when I rushed back an hour later. Highly recommended!
We were all pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was and the service was perfect.
The food is wonderful. What really stands out though, is the service.
Exceptional food, drinks, and service. We’ll definitely be back!
Ate with a girlfriend. The cocktail I had was amazing. Wonderful wines. Lamb meatballs were super. The presentation was beautiful.
The cons... waitress announced immediately to us that she hated Wednesdays and she couldn't wait to get off. We tried to cheer her up over the course of the meal. I had the scallops and found the scallops to be nicely cooked but everything else to be kind of bland. Spices were off and seemingly not za'atar. The fiend had the duck and it was saturated with cumin and the fat was not rendered well. Both dishes lacked acid. The desserts were ok not great.
A must visit place when in Louisville. Great unique eats along with fabulous staff. We really enjoyed the visit.
Very good food. For a place called the Fat Lamb I expected more than one lamb option. That said the lamb was excellent and a great bottle of Frogs Leap Cabernet as well. Very nice meal.
Strong drinks, tasty pasta and dessert. Ambiance was fine, we were put in a corner table near the bar section and we would have preferred to be in the dining room
We count on Fat Lamb to deliver every time - great food, service, and cocktails!
Fabulous evening! Our first time to dine here but won’t be our last!
The server made it very homey for us! Great food and ambiance was just right.
The Fat Lamb has been around awhile. But, due to the pandemic, I had not been back until now. I recognized immediately what I had been missing. Food and service were superlative. The noise level was a bit high but tolerable for an enjoyable, if not quiet, meal.
Excellent humus. Great service
Love this Place!!!
The Lamb Meatballs Rock!
Cocktails and Waitress top notch!
Thank you for a delightful evening!
First time to dine at Fat Lamb. Food VERY good, service just a tad slow to begin with, but otherwise fine. the Chef visited our table and was very friendly and appreciative of our comments (all positive!) and our business.
Very gracious owner and chef, wonderfully attentive wait staff. Though we are mostly vegetarians we found excellent options and will definitely be back.
We loved our meal! The fare was fresh, creative, beautifully plated, and delicious. We’re from out of town or we’d be here once a week, at least. It’s a must-eat for Louisville.
We had good service. Dave did a great job looking after us. The food was great. I had the lamb meatballs.
Great as always - one of our favorite spots in Louisville.
Fat Lamb was delicious! I had the goat cheese appetizer, duck breast entrée, and the “Night in Paris”cocktail. The atmosphere was amazing and they had a considerable wine/cocktail list. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a nice evening out.
A new favorite place to dine! What a great atmosphere and the service was impeccable! Very attentive and super personable. The quality of the food is exquisite! The roasted brussel sprouts were flavorful and tender. The goat cheese was creamy and decadent, could not get enough! Buttery scallops were perfectly cooked and seasoned just enough! The seabass had a light crisp that met with a fall apart tenderness in every bite!
Everything was amazing from the food to the service. The head chef/owner, checked in on our table and that was much appreciated. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts, salmon, scallops, duck- everything we had was delicious!
Very good higher end restaurant
We had a great time!
Service was exceptional and the food was very tasty!
The service, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere…. Top shelf!!!
Amazing meal, cocktails included. I would give 5 stars, but it was so hot in the restaurant that I'm not convinced it has air conditioning.
Food was excellent. Attentive staff
Delicious food and cocktails
It was a great experience and I look forward to returning!
Good food in a funky atmosphere. Service was attentive. However quality of food did not warrant the high prices.
Picked Fat Lamb because my fiancé loves lamb and they did not disappoint. From the shareable starters to the drinks and entrees everything was delicious. The portions sizes were great but not overwhelming.
The Fat Lamb is one of my absolute favorite places! My husband and I wanted to take my brother someplace he hadn’t been before to celebrate his birthday. This was my choice and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious (lamb ragu, scallops and duck), and they even had a sweet birthday card ready to thank us for celebrating with them! Highly recommend!
It was our first time eating at The Fat Lamb. The food was delicious and the staff was great. We will definitely go there again.
Service was friendly and attentive. And the place was pretty quiet and relaxed. Everything looked and tasted great, except, ironically, the lamb. I ordered the 40$ veal chop, and having never had it before, didn’t know what to expect. The flavor was really nice but it had a chewy outer layer of fat, and even once I got through that the meat itself was fairly tough and I actually got tired trying to carve my way through it. I wasn’t sure if this was normal or not so I didn’t say anything.
But as we left another customer came up to me and asked how my veal chop was (I assumed he was interested in getting it) and I told him honestly that it was tasty but really tough. He said that was definitely not normal for veal. So in hindsight I probably should have said something, but after eating most of it and paying for the meal it didn’t seem right to suddenly complain.
Probably a fluke, and hopefully everyone else finds their lamb to be perfectly lovely.
To end on a positive note I really liked my cocktail, the Midnight in Paris.
Food and cocktails were delicious. Noise level was high with two "cackling couples" who hadn't seen each other in a while. Great place for food.
