The re-open of the beautiful Aston Tirrold, village pub - The Chequers provides a fantastic setting to enjoy a relaxed drink or pub meal!

David and Rebecca have carefully selected wines, real ales, beers and a wide selection of food to suit all taste, and welcome all including kids and fury friends to come and try The Fat Frog in The Chequers.

Everything is homemade in our kitchen, from ice creams, breads, pickles to whipped butters and pastas, we have included foods that will cater for all tastes, but if we have missed anything we can adapt with enough notice.

The food was amazing and the service fantastic, my husband let the chef choose his meals and the chef couldn’t have done better. The quality of the food was so good, it looks a little odd from the outside when you first arrive but don’t let the country pub look out you off! Definitely worth it!

We had a fabulous celebration lunch. The taster menu was superb. Every dish a new flavour explosion. Would recommend to everyone for any occasion

Really delicious food, just slightly marked down because they were a bit slow in bringing us drinks to get started because of overwhelming demand when we arrived
