   We have dined at Fair Oaks in the past and had a great experience, although, this time I would not recommend this restaurant. We had a 5:45 pm reservation and arrived a little early. We did not get seated until 6:10pm and it seemed like we were an inconvenience to the staff. Our server was very nice and efficient but seemed very rushed and overwhelmed and assigned too many tables. Our meals were ok but really nothing to brag about. We ordered the brisket which was too tough to eat. And the veggie pizza appetizer tasted like a flavorless frozen pizza. Beet salad was very disappointing as it was served without dressing. Overall, the quality was lacking and did not meet the value / cost.

   Good food and nice atmosphere. Shrimp and grits were good but a little bit too spicy for me. The baked french onion soup was fantastic as for the homemade chip fries.

   While the food was cooked perfectly, they were very short staffed and it took 2 hours. The waitress was great at bringing drink refills and keeping us informed on the food. The biggest problem were the to-go milkshakes and ice cream. They put butter pecan in the root beer float????? By the time we noticed we were away on the highway and it wasn't worth turning back for the undrinkable dessert. Thank goodness we don't have nut allergies.

   Had a reservation for 5:30, showed up 5 minutes early and were told we’d be seated in 4 minutes. Weren’t seated until 13 minutes later. Others seated after us received their food before us.

   This was our first time visiting. Love the big fireplace. It felt cozy. Everything my husband and I ate was delicious. Not one thing was bad. Our server was Tammy and she was amazing. She went above and beyond and very friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best experience.

   Brisket and chicken were both extremely dry. Booked a table on OpenTable in the dining room, but was seated in the bar anyway (there were multiple tables open with rolled silverware ready to go). Definitely a huge disappointment given the price. Might be staying away from here for awhile.
