The over priced cocktail were the worse I ve ever had we left hungry this restaurant will be gone by next year no doubt . Its awful country bunken ambiance needs to be left out in farmland of the Central Valley ..
Farmhouse is my favorite new restaurant in LA. I've been for lunch twice and dinner once and I'm planning my next visits as I write this. The food is fresh and clean without being fussy or fusty, and if you're looking for a hearty meal, they'll make you very happy. You walk in and immediately the aroma from the wood-burning pizza oven relaxes your shoulders by a good two inches. The decor is comfy/casual; I'd seriously like the designer to do my home. I originally went because it convenient, midway between my guests' offices and mine, but I'm coming back for the food.
I don’t think the food is worth the price. Not only where the portions very small but the food was just ok. I got the cod fish and it was $34. it was a tiny portion with very little sides. It was nothing special. My friend got the burger it was $18 came with no fries. The bun was hard and the flavor was just mediocre. Pretty restaurant and decor but not great good for the price.
Spectacular new entry in the farm to table scene. Unique tastes but not precious. Great space with varied seating and decor.
I had an amazing time ! The brunch was absolutely fantastic and the food was soooo fresh !! I loved the apple French toast and the service was incredible... definitely recommend early Saturdays though it’s a great crowd.
I made a reservation through Open Table, and typically get a secluded table for two when I indicate that it’s a special occasion- but we were placed directly next to the front door in the bar area on uneven ground, right in the path to the bathroom. There were many tables available more in line with what we are accustomed to, but it being Valentine’s Day, we presumed they would be filled so we didn’t ask to move. They never were. My fiancée and I both ordered from the 4 course Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu @$65/person, and found two typos- always a bad sign- unless there is something called a “black ruffle” or a “trip tip” steak. We just find this kind of error unprofessional when asking $130 plus tax and tip.
The first course took more than 20 minutes to arrive, and it was actually the second course. They quickly brought out the first soon after I mentioned it, but at this small table in a traffic lane, we had very little room. We noticed that all other tables had candles on them, but ours did not- a back server brought one without being asked soon after he brought the first course after the second.
All the food was tasty, I’m happy to say, but none was particularly memorable or noteworthy, save the rhubarb dessert- that was the type of dish we expected throughout the meal. Our server was polite and fairy attentive, the backwait staff was excellent.
My lady got one glass of wine and I got a cider, after tax & tip our cost was $198.
We may return to try the normal menu, but we will not be coming back for anything special.
Been 4 times already! Huge place. Busy every time I've been, but never too long of a wait. Lunch and Dinner are great here. Brunch is amazing too -- choose your main dish and enjoy the unlimited buffet of breakfast sides and salads. The French Toast is stellar! The owner is there every time I've visited, and he really builds the menu based on the most amazing produce of the moment. FARMHOUSE proves that large format organic farm-to-table cuisine can thrive in a city like LA. Support!!
The food is sooo good here! Especially the margarita pizza! Yum!
This restaurant lived up the the review that I read a few months ago. So happy I was finally able to try it. Sit in the Living Room though, the bar is just what a bar is supposed to be -- loud and filled with happy young people -- but for a friendly meal with someone you want to talk to, ask for The Living Room.
Wasn't sure what to expect from this restaurant in Beverly Center - was blown away by everything. A must try! Great atmosphere, service, and the food was amazing.
we dined early because we had a play to go to and the restaurant was ready for business. The staff was informed and service was excellent. The food has a freshness that is unusual in a restaurant and was both visually stunning and delicious, cocktails are elegant and well priced. Farmer Nate was a gracious and generous host, insuring that we had a great time. We will be regulars at Farmhouse
Dine La menu, dessert Rhubarb clafoutis was absolutely fabulous.
Also it was a great deal, and all foods were so tasty.
This neighborhood restaurant is located on the ground floor of the renovated Beverly Center. The decor is bright, airy and contemporary, with high white wood-paneled ceilings.
We took advantage of the DINE LA promotion in mid-January, which introduced us to this restaurant for the first time. We enjoyed a delicious subtle fresh squash soup and an interesting twist on Caesar Salad - roasted Gem Lettuce with their mild house-made dressing that was absolutely delicious. In fact, the chef willingly shared his recipe with us. The roasted Grain Bowl was made up of tender, chopped fresh veggies sauteed in mild but flavorful sesame oil, and we were happy with the Roasted Beef Sandwich (thin sliced, with a few crunchies on the bun, although the mother-in-law at the more refined dining table next to us left her sandwich uneaten.
The chocolate tart with sugared orange rind and fresh whipped cream left us happy. Service was prompt, polite and attentive.
Overpriced blandness for dinner. better food/value for lunch
Special occasion dinner for 9. Host was very accommodating regarding the table. Our guests loved menu variety. Pepperoni pizza & mushroom pizza really great. Tuna crudo appetizer outstanding. Gnocchi starter & Brussels sprout salad starter small portion & underwhelming. Mains very quite nice—especially tri tip—but service was off. Tables late to be cleared..no understanding why on a quiet Sunday. Nobody listened to house VM alert re this being a special b’day celebration so no candles/special feel. Our friends/guests know the owner & they are expanding their footprint. I would come again but my husband (b’day boy) says NO.
Incredible dinner. We had the roasted chicken and the cod. Beautiful ambience. Excellent friendly service. Looking forward to going back again and again.
Very disappointing. Food quality was poor and it arrived lukewarm. Will not return.
The service was the best for a new mall dining restaurant. Server was knowledgeable in wine selection. Loved the gnocchi, short ribs & Cod. Everything else was ok, would go back and try it again.
Very good food, but the space has a commercial, "chain," feel to it. Not original and with an odd back entrance from the valet. Not a polished-feeling experience.
Great farm fresh food and interesting preparations in a cozy atmosphere.
Came here for an early dinner on a Sunday and we were very impressed with our Farmhouse experience! Excellent friendly service from all staff we encountered. The food is delicious and the decor is somehow bright and airy but still cozy. We will definitely be back!
Definitely nothing special, though the space is nice. While our waiter was fine, one of the individuals delivering the food was downright rude. So many better choices in LA. No reason to go here.
Terrible service. Both by the host who incidentally was a manager and told us there were absolutely no tables in the nicer part of the restaurant but when we asked a more friable female host she said, “oh sure, we have plenty of open table in the main room, follow me”, literally just three minutes later. Our server couldn’t be bothered, was elitist and couldn’t be bothered to smile. My date and I were both dressed up, there was nothing about us deserving of an obvious read. We will never dine there again and make sure no one we know does either.
Amazing food with well decorated ambiance. I highly recommend to eat here!!!!
3rd time at location however the entrees were very slow to arrive and the Chicken Avocado sandwich came in the plate with nothing but a sandwich that looked like the hicerybstore made it with no presentation or garnish. Everything felt in inspired. Sad.
Great food, service and environment! We are big fans of Farmhouse.
I thought the food was very good and fresh. We had the avocado toast and the breakfast platter both were good. Table next to us had eggs Benedict which looked delicious. I took a look at the brunch buffet but it didn’t have much that appealed to me. I do plan on going back.
Great ambiance, service was mixed but due to large party in back which caused lots of noise. Would go back when it's quieter. Food very good a bit pricey.
Came back the next day and brought other people. Food was great, wait staff attentive. Business lunch was well worth the price and friendly. Love the decor.
Food was decent but it was generally overpriced and the service was just okay. They did not honor a special request on the pizza and included automatic gratuity.
Farmhouse goes all out for their truly exceptional Weekend Brunch.
The starters and desserts are presented buffet style. Your entree selection (lots of choices) is then ordered off the menu.
Very high quality throughout and it's a value for the $32 price.
The Buffet is impeccably maintained throughout the entire Brunch hours. Lots of careful attention to detail in the presentation.
Loved the Smoked Salmon Latkes. The assortment of just-baked pizzas on the Buffet impresses, too.
We went for dinner on Christmas Eve as a family of 5. We arrived 30 minutes early but they sat us right away. The restaurant is beautiful- there was a fire in the fireplace and we sat at a very cozy table - just the “homey” kind of feeling we wanted for Christmas Eve. The service was spot on, the food was delicious. Definitely recommend!
The food is always perfect. Great service! Everyone I’ve brought here comments on how beautiful it is inside. Such an inviting ambiance, you can’t help coming back.
Pricey no bread with entree. $6.00 FOR 2 PIECES OF TOAST
Food was great, decor was great, service was incredible. My new go to Sunday brunch spot!
Great waitress, really good food. We had a few long waits between courses and didn’t get attended to for a while, but they pulled it all together in the end!
The food was very tasty and the decor was very appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only two minor issues to bring up: first, the portion of the entree (short rib pasta with eggplant) was very small, and was the same size as the appetizer, but was priced like a regular-sized entree. I needed to order extra bread just to make it a filling entree. It would have been preferable to have been served a larger portion, or to have been forewarned that the portion would be smaller, so I could order another side in advance to supplement the meal.
Only other minor issue: our group of 3 was seated near the bathroom, which is always a pet peeve of mine, especially when other tables would soon became available.
Decided to have dinner out with family while in town. The restaurant graciously changed our reservation from 4 to 5 individuals without so much as a murmur. One of our party had a steak which was significantly undercooked and had to be returned to the kitchen. For the price, it should have come out properly cooked initially. Other than that good and service were good.
The restaurant is beautiful but the food isn’t good at all. Starters are pricey at $17 for cauliflower, no meat and the flavors in the main courses are just not there either. Hot tea is $10. Overpriced for underwhelming food! Will not be back.
Food was very good but they were out of a lot of options. Service was great. I wish they had more than 3 desserts.
