What a great restuarant! The food was outstanding and the service was perfect! We finished our meal with the most delicious caramel bread pudding I have ever had. You must dine at The Farmers Union!
I always love the Baja Fish tacos, which are a great appetizer, but also a good size for an entree (especially when accompanied by a delicious Caesar salad!) The cocktails are also quite creative and attractively presented.
Francisco provided excellent customer service and it was perfect after a long day of work and commuting. Thank you!
Have walked by this place ever since it opened many moons ago. First time trying. What a surprise! The area was buzzing after a year and a half of sheltering. Host and server were very friendly and accommodating (we wanted a booth and they provided). The menu was quite extensive, I believe, with a host of drinks to choose from. (My only knock is the Cabernet wine list is for full bottles. Would have like to get a glass only. They do offer glass of various red blends.)
Salt and Pepper calamari - WOW - It came out quick and hot and not too greasy. It was the best calamari I've ever tasted. No kidding.
I ordered the flat iron steak - medium rare - with dirty fries. Yikes - garlic breath. The steak was tender and juicy. Flavoring was different, but enjoyable. My wife ordered the brisket tacos. That was good. She also had the Mojito. Very minty and refreshing. We will be back again.
Again, the main courses came out quick and hot. We were very much surprised at the overall experience there. Highly recommend!
We have dined at the Farmer's Union several times, and we always have enjoyed it. The restaurant is trying to hit a medium between fine dining and Applebees, with a slight nod to fine dining. That said, the menu is somewhat limited. By choosing carefully, we are always able to come up with something that is well prepared and tasty, but having only a half-dozen entrees with two of them belonging on a kids menu makes for a limited dining experience. The service is excellent and friendly, and the space is attractive. As the summer proceeds, there is good outdoor dining as well.
Good food, our server was very attendng.
Had a great time catching up with friends. Food and drinks were delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be going again.
Best fish and shrimp tacos! Really superb. My husband had a brisket taco and loved it,
The service and ambiance at The Farmers Union was awesome. The food was average, but the signature cocktails were pretty spectacular. The fish and chips had little to no seasoning, but the salmon was pretty awesome.
The Huevos Motulenos were great! Spicier than I expected but still so tasty. Definitely recommend if you love spice!
great selection of drinks. a bit pricey. lots of space and therefore a great place to meet a large group of friends or family.
We loved the atmosphere. We were on the patio which is right behind the large San Pedro Square sign. However, the food was just okay (burger was dry and turkey sandwich was average). The drink was tasty though! I got the cucumber and lemon cocktail
In our post pandemic times, the restaurant was rather quiet inside. The food was basic but the service was excellent.
Diverse menu options. Attentive service. Large portions. Music a little loud
Great Pueblo viejo mango Margaritas. Tasty and a good time
It was great as always.
Amazing evening. Fantastic food.
Wasn’t too thrilled with the food, but it’s really nice inside!
The beet salad is delicious! Beer battered fish was bland but grilled cheese and soup was well seasoned. Great bar!!
A nice go to
Not too crowded at lunch, great service, great food. Visiting from another city, this was a nice find downtown for a quick business lunch.
Food was great quality, great atmosphere, and service was exceptional!
Great service from Kelly. Excellent value.
Our waiter is always welcoming and attentive. Food is always great and I love seeing the the table busser cleaning with Clorox cleaner.
Mike was the best server with great menu suggestions and even brought me a sample of a cocktail to make sure I liked it before ordering! Went above and beyond per usual. Always have the best food and service here, it’s why we always come back!
Great food and service as always
We really enjoyed our dinner at the Farmers Union. The fried chicken was delicious, as were the meatball appetizer and bread pudding dessert. The texture on the chicken added to the salad was not as successful. Maria, our server, was an absolute delight
Brunch was bland and overcooked. The hashbrowns on everyone’s plate were hard and flavorless and the fried chicken looked like it had been defrosted and left under a heat lamp too long.
The service and ambience were fantastic, it’s such a shame that the food did not match up.
The food and ambiance was amazing! We had such an awesome Mother’s Day. We definitely will be back. The service was so fast and the food and drinks were so delicious! Thank you for a great experience, during Covid we have not had that. :))
This was our first time at this particular restaurant. The service was fine, but the food wasn't that great especially for the price. I had the brisket hash and the brisket was extremely tough to eat...sort of like chewing on rubber... My brother order the chicken fried chicken which he liked but the hash browns and toast that were served on the side were cold by the time they reached our table... The server did replace them but he still did not care for the hash browns. Overall the service was good but I probably won't return for their brunch menu again.
A pleasant Mother’s Day brunch al fresco. The food was fresh and well prepared, with choices for healthy and indulgent eaters... Our servers were attentive and always with smiling eyes ( behind the masks...).
Came here for a Mother’s Day brunch with my wife and son and we really enjoyed our experience from top to bottom.
The food was great, service was fast and friendly and that’s really all I need for a pleasant dining experience.
Will definitely be back.
Loved siting outside at tables spaced far apart during this COVID precautionary time. Waiter and servers were attentive, food good (the Baja tacos are big and super filling) and drinks tasty. While I miss the throngs of Sharks fans on game night, it was super enjoyable to relax and dine.
Went for brunch. Quick service, delicious food.
Wonderful restaurant! Always love going to the Farmer’s Union! Food is outstanding and so is the service!
First time trying The FHU and I must say we really enjoyed the brunch. A nust try is the Croissants with the honey butter! Amazing.... Drinks are pretty good also.
Beef in the chimichurri dish had me choking...I don’t think they knew how to cut against the grain
For the second time here with an open table reservation we were put in a very quiet back room, that just isn’t much fun. There was a TV and we knew sports were on, but the TV didn’t work.
Excellent chicken tenders, which I ordered for my girls. They finished it!
Moist and juicy.
The service was very rude. We had a reservation and we asked for a preferred table but the usher brushed us off saying those were "reserved". The waiter was very condescending and curt. The food is overpriced and mediocre tasting. Dont go here.
