   Food was not good considering the price. Also the server who seated us just disappeared and several minutes later a different server came over and said "your server is really busy so I will take care of you" In other words the waiter saw two Black people sit down and figured he wasn't gonna get a good tip so he abandoned us. It was supposed to be a special dinner with my mom so that put a damper on it. Will not be going back there ever.

   Very disappointed. Service good once they were notified that we were seating upstairs (where they placed us). Food not so good. French fries tasted like they were made the day before. Turkey sandwich had too much salt on it and dry. Salad very small, looked like an appetizer size. Too bad, good location.

   Food was awful, inedible really.They were out of several things. There was some type of group singing off key loudly and it lasted the whole time we were there. Tried to feed the leftovers to the dog and she turned her nose up at them. Won’t ever dine there again

   The food was great but the service was not, we would still go back. We asked for a water for our 2 yo and it never came so I went inside to get one at the bar. All of our food was put in simultaneously and arrived at the table within minutes of order (seemed like it had to have been pre-prepared), there wasn't enough space for it to be put down so we sent the entrees back to wait. Waitress took a napkin and said she'd bring back another one but never did. We loved the outdoor environment and would hope to have better service next time.

    We visited on Mother's Day. They offered the regular brunch menu plus a few specials for Mother's Day. We tried the brisket hash and it was very good. There was a lot of brisket along with the potatoes, peppers, and onions. The service was good but a little slow. Although the place was busy it was not slammed and when we were finished there were quite a few empty tables. But we still had to look for our waiter and wait for our check. It's definitely not a quiet place as we could hear kids footsteps running around above us from a private party. The noise didn't bother us too much but if you're looking for a quite/relaxing place to have brunch this is not it. Overall we enjoyed the food and would go back again. Although if we do go back it will be to try the wide beer selection and full bar.

    While attending Shark games or visiting SJSU, we have been to The Farmer’s Union many times. This visit we were going to a show at the SAP Center. We were greeted nicely and they sat us a half hour before our reservation which was great. That was the best thing about our visit. The server was flat out rude and seemed to be mad she was working. She offered no help with selections and was only seen when we asked a busser to ask her for water, refills and our bill. The food was bland and we all had very different meals. Ribs, Salmon, hamburger, and pork and ricotta meatballs. There are a lot of other restaurants near the Shark Tank, so we’ll more than likely be giving them a try from now on.

    Lunch at Farmers Union is always good. They're always very accommodating with dietary needs and the food is ALWAYS delicious!! We sat outside because we had our fur baby with us and so it was loud at times because of traffic, but nobody can control that.

    Very nice server serving very mediocre food. Meatball were meh, fish tacos and brisket were Luke warm and below average. None of the food was really hot. Caesar salad was fine. Very missable meat in an otherwise pleasant environment.

    Had a friend visiting from out of town. We ordered the fondue, brisket tacos, biscuits, and calamari and were blown away! Quality food with great flavor. The bartender made perfect cocktails too! Will be back soon

    Second time here - First time we sat outside, but this time was a bit too cool. Great place for pre/post events at the SJ Center for performing arts - very easy 10 minutes walk on well - lit streets. Our table had french dip, grilled cheese and tomato soup, spicy chicken sandy and Chicken cobb salad - Everyone enjoyed and service was fantastic.

    We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the service and food. Unfortunately my eggs Benedict came out cold. They exchanged it for a warmer one but that means my husband and I didn’t really get to eat together (his food was warm when they brought the meals)

    Our server was not attentive at all. We waited awhile for someone to come and take our order and after that we didn’t see her again. The only reason we were able to pay for the meal and finally leave was after going in and asking the hostess to track her down and send her back to our table to check out. She was not apologetic at all or didn’t say anything about not coming to check on us. The food is always good here and I like the ambiance, but it’s a bummer the customer service is subpar.

    We dined here at 4:30pm on a Saturday for an early meal before seeing Depeche Mode at SAP Center. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when we arrived, but it filled up quickly by the time we finished eating. If you're thinking about eating here before an event, make a reservation! For our food: beer cheese fondue and the wedge salad made for good starters; the grilled farmers market veggie plate was a hearty, healthy meal. My husband enjoyed the fried chicken.     The food was good. The server had an attitude. He nearly walked away while I was ordering like he couldn’t bother to listen. And wouldn’t you know jt, the order was wrong. Prime Rib doesn’t sound at all like brisket yet out came the brisket. When I informed him it was supposed to be prime rib, he questioned my veracity. And didn’t ask how I wanted my prime rib cooked. It came out medium rare. When he got a 15% tip, he rolled his eyes. He didn’t deserve even that much.

    I was with my sisters up in the area to see a show at the San Jose Performing Arts center. We decided to eat dinner at The Farmer’s Union prior to the show. Everything we ordered was so flavorful and delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We will definitely keep this place on our list of Go To places before a show!

    Great food and wonderful service. We enjoyed several of the signature cocktails at the bar and then moved to a table for dinner. Staff was very friendly, attentive and spot on with their recommendations. I had the salmon for dinner, fresh and delicious. Others enjoyed the brisket and said it was very good. A lovely dinner.     The grilled cheese sandwich had almost no cheese and the dollop of mustard wasn’t spread evenly over the huge slices of bread. Cheese to bread ratio was all wrong. The fries were barely hot. Tomato soup was good. I’ve had other tasty meals here but this was not one. With so many other choices for lunch I probably i won’t be back
