Distillery
The Family Jones Spirit House is a distillery and tasting room featuring crafted spirits and bites. It emphasizes the relationship between distiller, chef, bartender and guest, with a focus on hospitality that makes it a gathering place where all feel at home. Nestled in the space at 3245 Osage St., The Family Jones Distillery occupies the former Mancinelli's Market building two doors from Root Down. Designed and built by tres birds workshop, the space pairs industrial elements with rich wood details. The roof was lifted to add a second-floor mezzanine where distillery operations are now perched above a sunken, curvilinear, concrete bar. Guests enter the space through a large, square, wooden door made from reclaimed, on-site materials. Inside, they are met with low-slung seating, deep blue booths and soft lighting. Two-story wooden louvers flank the Osage Street glass facade, offering passive temperature and lighting control, while drawing attention to the well-lit copper still.

If there was ever a call for a time machine set to pre COVID, this is it. Still decent, but not sublime.

We love Family Jones but the current food situation was disappointing. I booked the reservation straight from open table because I knew it was a place we liked but didn’t read their website saying they were only doing cold foods. Needless to say it was not what we were expecting but that is more my fault than theirs. The cocktails are awesome. The service was spectacular and the atmosphere is perfect for a date. If you come in thinking of it more as tapas and drinks you’re gonna love it. We even bought a bottle of their vodka to drink at home. We’ll be back with different expectations until COVID let’s things get back to normal.

Everything was perfect except for the fact that ALL of our fav foods and drinks were no longer available due to COVID.. this included items in the revised menu that should have been available, including their basic pickled vegetable platter..

The cocktails and service at Family Jones are always outstanding. Was delighted on this visit by the new food menu. While there's less to select from, every dish we tried was so flavorful and interesting (in a great way).

Fun night! Awesome to be back with "The Family" at the reopened Spirit House. Loved their new patio, greatly expanding their outdoor seating.

Great locally made spirits. We did the tasting flight and then cocktails thereafter. Their Manhattan is to die for. Delish. We didn't eat anything here, but the menu looked tasty (the app required that I rate this). The service was spectacular. Definitely recommend a reservation while seating a half capacity.

Understaffed. One waiter for the whole restaurant. Drinks took 15 minutes minimum. He had to come back 15 minutes later and tell me “I forgot to put your drink order in. What was it again” Nutter bread was made with salt instead of sugar. Have always had excellent service in the past so I would try again. Hostess had an attitude when we explained we had three dishes and one person was without his meal and two people had drinks and 2 were still waiting over 15 minutes for drinks.
Bummer.

Delicious menu with creative dishes (esp. the desserts, which feature Little Man Ice Cream!!) but the cocktails are the real rock stars here. I suggest trying a couple with some small plates and apps as you people watch in the lush and cozy lounge which feels like a cross between and enchanted forest and a speakeasy.

This is one of my favorite Denver restaurant. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is sophisticated and yet casual. The service is friendly and it’s truly a dining experience. There are so many restaurants in Denver now that I don’t just want to have food I want to have an experience!!

Four of us went to dinner before a concert. It was Valentine's Day, which was nice, but if guests did not order off of the special menu, the other options on their menu were very limited. It was still a nice experience with really good food and the service was professional.

Have thoroughly enjoyed their "spirits dinners". This was our first time ordering from the "regular" menu & were completely blown away by the food AND their specialty cocktails.

The Family Jones is definitely one of my new favorite spots. The service was outstanding and our server took the time to give advice on the menu. She knew her stuff on the cocktails! It's truly a beautiful space and our whole group loved the style and vibe. We will definitely be back soon.

Disappointed in the food this time. We shared 8 plates for 5 people. The food was just ok compared to what is used to be a year earlier. I think they need to up their game on menu selection and quality. The restaurant was only 3/4 full on a Sat night 7pm which is unheard of in the Highlands! I think others must have the same opinion and are showing it by eating elsewhere

Food and cocktails were great, however, the lack of interaction from the server really took away from the entire experience. I was never asked if I wanted a second drink. We had to flag him down to order each time. The artichoke fondue could have used a little explanation when dropped off at the table. Certainly didn't ask if we had any questions or needed any help. Just a poor server experience. The decor/ambiance is really nice and enjoyable.

We love this place! We've been there twice and have enjoyed consistency of expertly crafted cocktails and creatively plated, delicious dishes. The ambiance is very nice with a dimly lit, quaint space with dark blue cushion seats, nice views of the distillery equipment, and floor to ceiling windows.

Great from start to finish. The staff is phenomenal! Our server was a charm. The food was EPIC, each dish was uniquely different and had their own shining elements. The drinks were great too! They have 20 drinks maybe to pick thru and of them we had 9, which were all in their own way amazing. Love the family Jones Spirit House! Not so hidden gem in lower highlands that will blow up even more this next year with their new distillery location and bar opened.

Everything was going great - we were getting small plates and drinks, we were dropped off our second small plate and asked if we needed anything else. We ordered a drink...

It wasn’t till another 40 minutes that anyone checked on us or brought us the drink we ordered (let alone asked us if we needed anything else). Simply put - we were neglected and that’s not how you want to feel when you are out to eat for a special celebration...

Terrific place to crash after a hard days labor. What's your food of fancy? They have it. Everything on the menu is top drawer. The server is attentive, pacing your order in a timely manor. I love the cocktails; clever and creative, one is never enough. We travel to eat here from our home south of Longmont, through horrendous evening traffic. That pretty much underlines how much we enjoy coming here.
