   I made a reservation for Mother's Day well in advance of the date. I called the restaurant to make sure they could seat our party of 6 at a quiet table as it included two elderly people and was assured that it would be no problem. The table we were seated at was very loud - even when I asked to have the music turned down. On Mother's Day morning I called to increase our number to 8. With much ado they said they could accommodate us. I don't know what all the fuss was about - the restaurant was mostly empty the whole time we were there! At no point did anyone mention (on the phone or their website) that the meal was going to be a BUFFET, which was difficult to manage with elderly parents (one on a walker!). The food was AWFUL...& it was COLD!!! No one came to tell us that they were clearing the food off the buffet so when we went back for seconds - it was GONE! They made an attempt to bring back some measly desserts, but they were awful too! For $25/head - it was way too expensive for what we got. I've never ever had such a bad meal at a restaurant! DON"T GO!!!

   They where closed. Drove 45 minutes and they where closed. Sign in door Gave the same hours as open table. Looks like they are out of business. When to haddads down the street. It was amazing. 5 stars for me.

   The Fairview Inn is CLOSED. I drove there after Open Table confirmed my reservation for 5pm on 3/31 only to find it closed. Please remove it from your system lest others be misled. I was a nice place before it closed.

   It was closed!!!!! Drove an hour and a half to take my daughter to dinner. iT WAS CLOSED. Open table verified my reservation??????? IT WAS CLOSED!!!!!

   Our waiter, Jim, was phenomenal! The food was great and the view can't be beat. They also have an excellent double-sided fireplace that was roaring...

   What a disappointment. Beautiful venue that just doesn’t live up to its reputation. Service was poor. The waitress had obviously never been trained. She didn’t know how to properly open a wine bottle. Didn’t check back on us after we got our entrees (which she didn’t take our orders for but was going to bring out as soon as they were up). The salads and meals were bland and tasteless. The meatloaf was tough and over salted. The scallops were good but the risotto was terrible and there was far too much of it. Won’t go back.

   Had dinner Saturday night on the deck. Our dinners, salmon and seafood casserole were very good. The service was a bit slow, it appeared they were understaffed; could not order two glasses of merlot as they only serve merlot by the bottle, never heard that before. Waitress said “so, would you like a bottle?” Well, no. Anyway the meal was delicious and we’ll go back again.

   Our waiter Chaz was super, positive and friendly and made the dining experience fun and happy. We sat on the outdoor deck. The view was lovely. My daughter had the scallops and I had broiled scrod. Our meals were delicious. It was a wonderful dinner. One of the top experiences we’ve had with Fairview.
