We have been eating at Factory Kitchen quite frequently since September. We have been bringing different friends there and everyone loves it! Paula the manager is so wonderful and kind to her patrons. This is a must eat place....
Comment on the food only. I’ve eaten at Factory Kitchen many times. All were amazing. But this time was below their usual standard. Not sure if they changed Chef and / or kitchen staff?
I’ll be back in 3 months. Hope they get it all straighten out.
Food & service were excellent. Our servers recommendations for food were all hits. It’s a bit loud and tables are packed closely together.
Most food was very good. The prosciutto was amazing. The seafood pasta was way too salty. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly.
Excellent food , wonderful service! Sat outside on front patio. Intimate setting with small trees and twinkle lights. Also, good heating lamps. A special shout-out to the hostess who was pleasant and helpful.
Went there before a concert at the Ace Hotel - food was terrific and service was impeccable!
First off, thanks to Dorothy, our server for helping to coordinate our moderate chaos caused by half our party being 45 minutes late. I just ordered for the group, had food prepared and our group was able to get to the Disney Concert Hall on time.
It was our first return in two years for obvious reasons, so I ordered things that have been good from the start. Get the prosciutto. Best open faced ham and cheese sandwich you've ever had. Also, handkerchief pasta with pesto. It is the smoothest pesto you've ever encountered. Nothing like it. Had the lamb riblets for the first time. Also highly recommended. Not a large portion, but the meat is very rich.
The restaurant remains a little off the beaten path from downtown LA, but worth the effort to find it. REAL Italian food instead of the NY Americanized Italian food that is prevalent in so many places.
The food was delicious, but we had requested to take off one of the items on our pizza that neither of us ate, but 2 other items were taken off, which meant that there was basically the majority of ingredients missing. when I mentioned it to one of the waiters, he tried to convince us that it was "baked" within the pizza, it was not. no one else ever came by our table to ask us if everything was alright, I definitely would have said something, but my friend was taking me out to lunch and she didnt want to be bothered...but I was definitely disappointed in this service and accountability!
We had an enjoyable evening, the Ossobucco was incredible.
Great time, food and service.
Mabel was fabulous. Dinner delicious. Service impeccable
One of the few real Italian food experiences, with a modern twist.
Accommodating staff. Lovely and attentive wait staff. Excellent food
This is my first time back since the pandemic and it was an amazing experience! Our waiter, David, was amazing and we enjoyed all of the foods we ordered. The food came out quickly after ordering.
We ordered the following (our favorites will be starred** although everything was delicious):
Prosciutto with the stracciatella and sage dough**
Mandilli di seta**
Ravioli di mare
We left stuffed but happy and dreaming of all the delicious eats.
Rico y ya. Nada espectacular.
Definitely looking forward to going again. We had the funghi focaccia and pancake to start. Plus, all our pasta dishes hit the spot
We had a fantastic time all the way up to point where we were told there is a 2 hour time limit to sit at the table. Our reservation for a party of 6 was at 7 pm, and we were asked to leave during dessert at 9 pm.
Always great. Jeff makes us feel very welcomed and does his best to accommodate.
Service was great.
good restaurant. service can get a little bit sloppy though
Awesome service great food and cocktails
The food is excellent and the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. Very good for lunch or dinner.
Overall great experience. The service and atmosphere were outstanding. Food was really good, we had the Sanremse calamari salad - needed some extra acid so we asked for lemon ourselves. Had the briddeto mussels and clam stew which was disappointing, overcooked and broth wasn’t anything exceptional. The Mandille pasta was incredible, we split one serving and it was enough - would definitely order when going back. Had the patate too which were perfectly cooked nice side to round out the meal.
The food is delicious, the staff and service are great. We had a wonderful dining experience.
Factory Kitchen is hands down my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. Excellent quality ingredients, not your run-of-the-mill Italian fare. They offer game (rabbit, duck, wild boar) along with organ meats (beef cheeks to die for, best calves liver I've ever had), as well as sole, pork belly, pasta, and so on. Tried-and-true dishes as well as creative dishes that you won't find anywhere else. I highly recommend Factory Kitchen.
Was a fabulous lunch on the patio
The food is excellent and fun to share. The service is very good. We sat outside for a quieter experience.
It's the best pasta in LA bar none!
They have 1 Michelin star!
The food is exceptional from start to finish. The prosciutto is one of the best I’ve had. The mandilli di seta - thin handkerchief egg-pasta basil-almond is fluffy and delicious. The olive oil dessert with layers of chocolate mousse is heavenly. A true authentic Italian experience!
Service is always top notch and genuine, with a smile.
First of all … valet parking. Handicap spaces do not require a valet. We self parked but we’re charged despite not using the valet.
Next … the food was good but VERY salty. Also, the menu contained a few seafood dishes, but almost all contained clams, to which I am allergic.
Finally… the chairs. While they look comfortable, the back leans forward slightly. Restaurants do this so patrons will have to put weight on their knees as they sit. This promotes rapid table turnover as the patrons are just a bit uncomfortable. It’s a disturbing trend. While rapid turnover is obviously good for the restaurant, it causes patrons to finish quickly and not linger, and doesn’t promote a satisfying dining experience. We had a drink and three courses in just one hour. We might have ordered more, but my lower back hurt from the seats.
Handkerchief posts. Great as always. Their signature dish. Gnocchi like no other. Shift pillows with a rotating sauce.
Great food, good service.
Outdoor dining was quiet. Indoor seemed noisy. Food, ambience and service were excellent!!
It was as good as always. A little disappointed with the liver dish, however my wife loved it. Starters all fantastic, difficult to make a choice. Also good wine selection and knowlegable waitress, still remember this from our last visit.
Keep it up.
Always a great place to dine, love the restaurant! Two of us ordered a turkey meatloaf - great idea but it was overly salted. I suppose thats typical for a good meatloaf, but next time I will choose from the plentiful selection of exceptional pastas and other menu items.
I really enjoyed my dinner here. I have a 18 month daughter and they accommodated her with ease. I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back. Good food and great atmosphere.
Great restaurant and vibe!!! Once you walk in the front door you hear the place is "alive with chatter and laughter". It is quite loud, but very energetic. Service was outstanding and food was pretty good. Fish entree was piping hot and gnocchi was delicious. The banana dessert is amazing with ice cream!!
