The food was amazing and the service was great. We tried the handkerchief pesto, seafood ravioli, and the truffle pasta for entrees. We tried every single dessert and my oh my the orange marmalade and pistachio cannoli is to die for. INCREDIBLE food and staff all the way around. This was my second time coming. There are so many great places to eat in LA so I find it taking me years to circle back to the same restaurant. I had been here 3 years prior to this night and it was just as good as I had remembered.
Our first dinner in a restaurant in over a year, and a fine experience. The tagliatelle was terrific and the staff were attentive and very helpful. We'll certainly go back again.
Would definitely recommend to any Italian lover.
If you’re not sure what you’d like (like us) I’d ask your server. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu. Everything she encouraged us to try was delicious.
Not baby friendly.
Amazing wine selection.
Pasta is to die for.
Amazing food! Outstanding service!
Food was good. Expensive for my tastes though. Wife would have given it all 6 stars though.
Whitney is our FAVORITE and always makes the experience PERFECT!
We celebrated Mother’s Day! Last time we were here was for last January for dineLA and loved it. Happy that indoor dining is here again. Thank you for feeding us well! Everything was delicious!
Amazing. I’d leave just that word, if there wasn’t a limit. We arrived right at 5pm and was promptly seated. The cuisine was exquisite, the service: friendly, and atmosphere welcomed gatherings. While the mains were tasty and fresh, the desert took the cake- literally. This is a must try, and I will return.
An absolute shame.
From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in, we were met with the minimal amount of service.
Greeted by a manager who was clearly completely over it at the door. We were then sat and wondered who is taking care of us as we were left to stare at the menu for over 10 minutes.
Once our server came and asked for water preference we were promptly forgotten and had to remind the gentlemen of our existence and need of previously mentioned water.
Luckily we had time to look at the menu in details to salivate over.
The menu proudly presents its part of the Michelin guide of 2019 and that’s enough to encourage us to order as much as possible to taste everything.
We ordered the funghi foccacia which was absolutely delicious and sincerely the highlight of the dinner.
We followed it with tagliolini and the modenesi which were good.
The main courses however were awful, the medium rare NY strip was somehow tough and it’s smoky butter, while inventive, makes for a difficult bite. The duck breast was well prepared, the confit wasn’t on par.
The sides: the patate and cavoletti were delicious, the broccolini were cold and had none of the promised garlic and spice. The cipolini onions existed.
Honestly I would have complained had I seen a manager on the floor, but clearly it was too late. Maybe our experience was hindered because of our 9:30pm reservation.
At $200 a head you just hope for something better.
Food is outstanding, service is always thoughtful and love the outdoor patio.
I had reserved outdoor dining but on arrival was told by the host that no tables were available and so they suggested a longer wait or indoor seating. We opted to be seated indoors. Whitney, our server was pleasant but was not able to discuss or recommend the wine list selections at all and seemed overall disinterested.
Food was solid, service was prompt but again service just lacked any client connection, conversation or friendliness.
I have dined here before and I think you guys can do better!
AMAZING handmade pasta - super fresh and came out very quickly after we ordered! We reserved outdoor seating and when we arrived at the time of our reservation, and we were told no outdoor seats were available, so they sat us inside instead. Not a huge deal, was still a nice experience.
Always excellent! One of my go-to spots for superior Italian food in LA.
Amazing food and our waiter was awesome!!! Such a great experience.
Host was very welcoming and friendly. He told us about the plans for a permanent patio in front of the restaurant so we are looking forward to that.
Our server, Hector made great suggestions including beverages to desserts and we loved all of it. Ambiance was nice and spacious - great social distancing.
We had the ravioli di mare, pizzata and ortaggi - ALL delish!!!
Coconut and chocolate Sorbetti were a perfect to end this delightful find.
We have found our lunch spot!
Good food, good service and great atmosphere. Would go back in the future.
This was my first time and I will definitely be back.
Great time on our anniversary. They took about 15 mins after our reservation b/c some guests were over staying their welcome but the manager comped an appetizer for us and was super nice so we weren’t upset at all. The food was delicious too! I thought it was tapas but the waiter was really nice and even told us that we ordered too much bread and helped us shape our experience. Overall, we had a great experience and the food was delicious. I would highly suggest the mozzarella salad cremosella, the porchetta and the prosciutto
We went for a celebratory dinner with high expectations because it’s a popular restaurant in arts district.
But overall it was a very underwhelming experience considering so many people speak so highly of the restaurant.
Did anything go wrong? No. But did we enjoy our food and drinks? Not at all.
They set up outdoor dining in the park lot, not much of an ambiance to begin with. You feel like you’re eating in a parking lot.
The menu is limited. Service was a bit slow but we didn’t really mind.
However it was the food and the presentation that surprised us. It just felt like they didn’t really care.
We ordered 5 things and they were equally disappointing.
Arugula salad: $15 for a pile of arugula with bland dressing and two pieces of sad looking oranges.
Brodetto: it was way too salty and the clams were overcooked.
Ravioli: one of the shrimp was not thoroughly cooked. The ravioli itself tasted as good as any store bought brand, I felt like I could microwave some frozen ravioli and it would taste about the same.
Brussel sprouts: overcooked and soggy.
Dirty martini: tasted like water and a whole jar of olive juice.
They also charged us $6 COVID fees. I probably wouldn’t have cared if the food was amazing. But needless to say we were not thrilled to pay extra for this below expectation experience.
The place was nice, but the food is a little overpriced.
Had a great time :D Wish it wasn't super cold and almost rainy but the food and service was amazing. Will be back to try more delicious food :D
Returning to the dining scene after the smoke of the pandemic has cleared. Factory Kitchen has not missed a beat. The food and service was spot on. All guidelines were being adhered to to. It was a safe, pleasant and absolutely fabulous meal.
The food is always great here. Very consistent. It's the first time we were able to eat inside and the tables were distanced nicely. Great server. I always come back here.
First dining out experience during COVID. We sat on their patio and had the time of our lives, surrounded by delicious food and attentive, safe service. 1000% recommend!
Food is always outstanding but this night the service was grossly lacking. Brought to our table 35 min late, after being told the earlier party essentially refused to leave on time. After being seated we received two comp appetizers for the trouble which was appreciated, but then proceeded to wait another 15 min for the server to take a drink order. After having to send for the server he showed up with an attitude. Drinks were slow in coming, appetizer plates were cleared while some in our party were still eating? More apps and dinner arrived but some mains arrived like warm.
I usually love there food and I love the dining room, that was not their night and our server refused to even try to rescue it.
Upon arrival, expect to pay valet, which I believe is $7. The street parking is nonexistent and difficult to find at dinner time. We sat outside which was fine, but we had to ask them to turn on the heaters even though it was freezing and windy out. I wish we would have been asked when we sat down. The food was good, nothing amazing and the price was not terrible but also not favorable when comparing the food. Overall, I would come back to give it another shot but making sure I sat down inside!
Been hearing a lot of good things about this place and tried it shortly after indoor dining was reinstated. Sadly it was mediocre food with absolutely garbage service.
First, this place bills itself as a 'trendy / upscale' spot, but there were toddlers crawling on the floor. Now, I'm not anti kid, but I don't want to see toddlers in high chairs and crawling on the floor on my Friday night dates.
We sit down, and water is brought. They never ask us if we want drinks. The server appeared 10 minutes later to take our food order.
The food comes out and is reasonable, but nothing spectacular. Our side dish (onions) does not get brought out with the main course. We remind the waiter that we ordered the onions. We finish our main course. Our plates are cleared away, and the server tells us he'll 'be right back' with the onions.
'Only' 15 minutes after our table had been cleared, our onions come out - with no plates. We ask for plates. 5 minutes later, they bring us plates so we can eat our dessert onions. The plate they brought my partner had a human hair on it. Gross.
The server acted like this was normal service for factory kitchen. Didn't offer to take the onions off the bill or comp us drinks or anything. Pretty disappointing.
Judging by the number of 5 star reviews of this place, I'm sure it can be good, but we just so happened to visit during armature hour.
Service was great. The issue was that with the exception, of the couple pasta dishes we had, the food was mediocre. There was a Calamari salad that was not what we expected. The texture of the calamari was soggy, chewy, and gritty. It was not palatable at all. The Osso Bucco was extremely salty. The fish dish was under seasoned and bland all around. The drinks were great! The staff was great too. For the price of the meal $$$, we were expecting a better food experience.
First time out with a toddler and our parents in a year. The food and service was perfect. We felt well taken care of, safe, and we really enjoyed our meal. Thanks.
Excellent food. Got the thin, “handkerchief” and Perrporrille (sp) pasta and Porkccetta. Ready enjoyed all of it. For starters we got the salad and stuffed peppers which was also enjoyable.
Service was on point with several staff members checking in on us and nothing requested was forgotten. They even made sure we got the wives’ glasses she forgot on the table.
Ambiance was “parking lot” by choice due to Covid. However, the valet area could be heard which at one point was comical because a customer came is with loud, Banda music playing. Just could have been better.
Made us wait a long time when had a reservation . Like 30 min.
Said they called name but didn’t.
Everything was good.
I would stay away from the flowerless chocolate cake for dessert. Other that the food was great.
The server was little hard to ask something we needed, the tiramisu was not good as I thought besides everything was good
It was a delight, they hit all the right spots. Food was delightful service outstanding. I was a bit worried about the location but once there we felt confident and safe. It’s a great place to eat before leaving LA. I will definitely go again and take my friends.
Amazing food! Great service. So happy they are back
Absolutely fantastic. Service, food, wine, cocktails, ambiance.... perfection.
The food was underwhelming and the service was quite bad.
Great dinner, with amazing pasta.
One of my favorites spots in LA
