   I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday in the notes when I made the reservation and they gave us one of the most romantic tables and the server wished her a happy birthday when he introduced himself. Was very impressed they actually read the notes. Food was amazing!

   This was our first time dining at The Establishment and it won’t be our last. The food and the service were fabulous. Our server, Sully was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and had a wonderful sense of humor.. It’s not always just about the food, but the ambiance and the server. All were top notch. If you like mussels you must try theirs. They are prepared with bacon and brown ale rather than the traditional white or red sauce, and they were perhaps the best I’ve ever eaten! If you are in Charleston and looking for fine dining, look no further.

   We have been to The Establishment four times and have always had a fantastic experience. The wait staff has great recommendations and are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and unique compared to the typical Charleston cuisine. Some of our favorites include the mussels and crab gnocchi. The ambiance with its mix of historical Charleston and contemporary chill is well done. This has become one of our all time favorite restaurants. It’s a true hidden gem.

   We always make it a point to visit the establishment when we visit Charleston. The food is always unique fantastic and utterly delicious. The creamy potatoes were to die for. We repeated the gnocchi with crab which is wonderful. We were placed near the kitchen this time. Next time I will request the front dining room.

   Arrived early for an 8 pm reservation and were able to be seated early. Unfortunately I forgot to request seating in the dining area away from the kitchen. I didn’t ask to be moved because the restaurant was very busy and realized it would be very difficult. We were celebrating a special occasion and enjoyed cocktails followed by appetizers all in a timely fashion. Sadly this was the end of a good experience. Our main course was not delivered until 9:30 pm. The server forgot to enter our main order. The restaurant has a very dramatic manager however he did not make his presence known until after the fact. He did compensate us on our bill but quite frankly it did not balance for the fact that our celebration was spoiled.

Again, Apologies. However you neglect to mention in your review two male members of your party, and you were quite rude to the young lady server resulting with her in tears. We apologized and were respectful, however folks of your caliber are not our desired clientele. Therefore, we wish you the best in your future dining endeavors.

   I have to eat gluten free and our waiter, Tanner, was the first waiter ever to check that on our reservation and already had reviewed the menu with the chef to help me with food selections. That will keep us returning. Not to mention how delicious the food was.

    Food was amazing. Our server did a great job explaining all the meals and giving recommendations. Drinks were delicious and the flavors in all the fishers were incredible. Would definitely eat here again!

    Things could not have gone better! To start with, I received a call concerning some diet limitations that were on my OpenTable profile. The chefs had gotten together to recommend a fantastic meal off the menu. Shane, one of the managers, called to ask for my input. It sounded fabulous and required no input from me. We had asked for a table in a specific location due to Covid risk. They could not accommodate that particular table, but gave us one equally risk free. Our server Tanner could not have been more attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. A prior server, who we adored, stopped in to see how the meal was going. Also, the manager stopped at our table to make sure things were as they should be. The Establishment is a restaurant that knows how to treat customers! We will return often.

    The gnocchi was excellent. The Brazilian seafood stew was perfectly prepared with lots of creamy tomatoes and fresh seafood. The green salad with butternut squash and apples tasty.

    Faboulous atmosphere and vibe. Food and service were top notch. Visited with Shane for an in depth discussion about bourbon. His knowledge and recommendations were amazing. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had!

    Kayla was exceptional as our server and knew the menu inside and out. The Foie Gras appetizer is a must. Wine list was great, lots of French blends and although this place is seafood based, the dry aged ribeye was as good as it gets.

    Great service, great tasting food. However, the menu is limited and changes every day so if you go based on reviewing the menu and wanting a specific dish, you may not be able to get it that day.

    The experience was wonderful from start to finish. The hostess was so sweet and appreciative that we didn’t care where we were seated. That surprised me. I guess people are often insistent. The waiter made great suggestions and knew what was appropriate for allergies etc. we had wagyu carpaccio and gnudi which were fantastic. Daughter loved her duck entree. We will be back.

    The concept of the minimum charge was not explained, so we paid for more food than what we ordered. Sending back undercooked food only to have it brought back after everyone else had finished was unacceptable.

    The restaurant is elegant, and the service is impeccable. The food was subpar for the price. My lamb was way undercooked, and I ordered it medium. My wife's Halibut was way overcooked. The sides were so not impressive, and yes, we had to pay for bread service. The mashed potatoes were the hit of the evening. The food does not match such a beautiful and elegant restaurant.

    The food was excellent! Side dishes were enough for 2-3 people(we thought single serving).we ordered too much but it all was delicious. Service could have been better-wait staff could have been more attentive. That being said we would return again. Recommend it for adults-not a place for younger children.
