   Great pub and restaurant in a beautiful setting. Fantastic service. Plenty of locals as well as visitors to the moors. Quality of the food lives up to the presentation.

   We had the beef ale stew and dumplings it was delicious (a little more if the very tasty gravy/sauce would have been nice). The service was excellent and very friendly and attentive without being over obstusive. Very nice surroundings with some interesting art work.

   Recommended by friends and was not disappointed We ate in the bar as we had brought dog with us and they couldn’t have been more hospitable Service was spot on the food we ordered was delicious and the Guinness was fab Would highly recommend

   A really lovely pub - nicely decorated, roaring fires & comfortable chesterfield sofas. The staff were very friendly indeed as were the other customers. A very nice atmosphere - & the staff made a fuss of my husband for his birthday. And the food was second to none. I had the small fish & chips which was more than big enough. The fish was cooked perfectly. My husband had the burger - tastiest he’s ever had apparently. Some of the meals are a bit pricey for our budget, but that seems to be the way of things now. We will definitely go back. Loved it!

   As always, such a great night was had at the Esk. It is the best dining experience on the North York Moors, fantastic!!!

    Food was delicious, service was friendly informal and just right. Privé was a touch high but would definitely come again and strongly recommend. A lovely pub and lovely food.
