   The booking system was extremely easy and straightforward. Our table was all ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Two highchairs were also in place which I had requested. There were nine of us in total and we all ordered our breakfasts easily. A very polite and obliging Nathan took our order which arrived very promptly with no hitches at all. The food was as good as the service. All in all we were extremely pleased and satisfied with every aspect with our Breakfast in The Engine Room.

   I didn't know how to rate as we didnt get to have any food! I booked a table for 5 for 12.30. We went to order and were told by the staff " you do know it's over an hour wait for food".. I explained we had booked and they just shrugged their shoulders. We didn't have time to wait as 2 of the people with us had an appointment at 2pm so we couldnt eat!. There were lots of empty tables. This was our first experience "eating" at Ocean and none of us would ever try again.

   Food was 1 hour late in a not so busy time. We arrived for 12.30 booking and didn’t have our food till 13.48. Ordered at the table and app stated no waiting time. 2 tables next to us had also been waiting ages.

   We decided not to eat apart from bowls of chips. They took time to arrive and sat under the hot lamps for a little bit (we could see the kitchen from our table), I think it was due to lack of staff which all hospitality are experiencing at the moment. That wasn’t really an issue. What I really didn’t like was the cleanliness! The menus were covered in dried on food, mostly mushy peas. Not one was clean. Also the chairs were filthy. All fabric chairs were stained and in need a of good clean.

   I had booked the wrong room I wanted upstairs on the desk and the staff were so accommodating they were lovely.

   We had this meal booked and we were all looking forward to it but I reckon I could have made a better meal at home. The restaurant wasn't even that busy as we had a table booked and when we got there they told us to sit anywhere as we aren't that busy. The price for food was ridiculous for what we was served. If your looking for nice food please find somewhere else's to eat

    Great to be able to eat inside with our dog. Food was good apart from the dirty fries, just mentioned it to the server when he collected plates and it was sorted with no issue at all. Will definitely return
