Set in the picturesque village of Abbots Ripton with access to beautiful walks on the local estate, The Elm has everything you want from your perfect countryside pub; A glorious garden, a roaring fire, comfortable rooms, delicious food and a wide selection of drinks.

The Grade II-listed building was built, as an open hall, in the late 15th Century to offer hospitality to the drovers bringing cattle down from Scotland (along the Bullock Road) to the market at St.Ives. It was later altered with the insertion of a brick chimney in the early 17th century. The Fellowes family, that own and run the pub, came to the area around the same time the pub got its chimney...

We have visited this restaurant for many years and went once owned by previous owners and it was dreadful. This Sunday it was everything and more than it used to be. The food and service were excellent and our very new waitress was attentive and extremely pleasant. Very nice to see Staff in uniform and Girls with hair tied up. Long hair hanging potentially in food is not a good look. We will certainly return in the very near future.

We had a fantastic time lovely restaurant and food was delicious and very well presented the staff were all really nice and friendly we are all ready planning our next visit thank you for a lovely evening

Never disappoints. Consistently met with a friendly, welcoming face. Menu covers all tastes. Food excellent & good portions. The best place in area!

First time visit to The Elm and will definitely return. Everything was perfect, from the picturesque setting, decor and ambiance, to the food, service and lovely staff.

Fantastic place, thriving under new management. Welcoming and friendly staff, great menu and a genuinely not lovely place to be. Will be coming back for sure.

This was our first visit to the Elm under new management. It was fantastic. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious food. Reasonably priced - not cheap and not too expensive, good portion sizes. I would recommend and will be going back!
