Fun and yummy! Great service.
Perfect neighborhood brunch place. Service and atmosphere friendly. French toast and eggs Benedict were terrific! Loved the coffee! The orange juice isn’t fresh squeezed....otherwise a 5 out if 5!
Great for families!! So friendly and accommodating.
Great menu complimented by an interesting cocktail menu. Dave, the bartender, was so terrific that we decided to eat at the bar and forego a table. Definitely will return!
Great food and great service!
I had a bunch of people from all over the US visiting and wanted something new and unique.
The place was clean, not too noisy, busy but not crazy. The server was very sweet and everything we ordered was fantastic.
Try the strawberry mule. It was sweet but not overly and just the right amount of ginger beer and the bloody Mary with bacon vodka was insanely delicious.
The braised pork toast was AWESOME! Spicy, but not overly and very flavorful.
My friend had the quinoa and it was very tasty
One of us had the blueberry and ricotta pancakes and said they were her new favorite food.
The Ellington is better than ever, having not eaten there for a few months until recently. When I say that, I refer to the food, which was more sophisticated and better prepared (although it was always good) than I could remember. A great value and always a pleasant meal.
Second list - even better this time.
A very pleasant meal and the food was super.
Love the Ellington. Great food, good prices and awesome service. Such a pleasure to have something so tasty and affordable, not to mention fun, right around the corner!
Great service as always, and friendly staff.
Great neighborhood gem. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Food is great and the service is friendly and prompt.
Celebrated my cousin's birthday over Brunch. We had a great time.
Very enjoyable brunch.
Help was extremely pleasant
The restaurant honored our reservation even though it did not show up in their system.
Love our neighborhood gem!
The service, the food, the ambiance, those who work there, the kindness and respect of the wait staff. Particularly love the mac and cheese with truffle oil, the wings, brussel sprouts, burgers, fries. All delicious.
So lucky to live nearby.
Can't wait to sit outside again with the neighborhood regulars.
Went here on new years eve with my best friend. Super cosy, super friendly staff and amazing food. The atmosphere was really nice. Great prices.
The service was great and the food really good. The only comment was from my mom and my sister about their eggs benedict and florentine: the eggs were cooked and not runny.
The best salad I have ever had in NYC. The ambiance is really cool and the staff are so friendly.
My husband loved his short ribs. I had the quinoa salad with artichoke and avocado. It is a cold salad but I was not expecting that. It was a bit bland. I would try something else next time. The goat cheese croquettes appetizer was great!
Great food and service! The shared plates were all yummy and large servings!
Very quaint restaurant. Our server Emma was outstanding, and so was the manager Sara. They made you feel like you were in their home. Very courteous and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Made a last minute reservation for Thanksgiving dinner based of on-line reviews. What a gem! Staff was outstanding and food fantastic. Our family of five had such a blast. Absolutely would go there again and adding this to our list of favorite spots in NYC. Can not say enough great things about this place.
Love the food, service, managers, owner, ambiance. It’s our neighborhood go-to!
This is in our rotation as a fun, cozy bar to grab a bite. The service is attentive and the draught beer list is extensive. However, I really wish they could get the food together. The nachos arrived with a cold slick of sour cream and guacamole which killed any warmth from the melted cheese. But the waitress was happy to take them back and have them put the toppings on the side and reheat the base. Frankly, they should prepare them that way. The last time I went the burger wasn’t great but the fries were delicious. This time, the burger was pretty good but the fries were tough and dry, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp. The last few times, our burger rolls were cold to the touch. This time my roll was at least room temp. My husband liked his shepherd’s pie a lot. We’ll give it a couple more tries to see if they can get everything on the same page.
Enjoyed my meal. Good food options, and a nice ambience. Cozy.
Llegamos en el horario indicado y nos dijeron que la cocina estaba cerrada.
No pusieron ni voluntad.
This is a great neighborhood pub in terms of ambiance and vibe. Nice bar, great list of draft beers. The food just doesn't do justice to the space, however. The burger is a seasoned patty that tastes more like meat loaf--and it wasn't rare as ordered. Lamb burger at $17 was skimpy. Turkey burger undistinguished. The burger rolls were cold to the touch--as if they were refrigerated. The French fries are excellent --sweet potato fries tasty but a bit soggy. The arugula/goat cheese/prosciutto salad and fish and chips are outstanding and fried calamari quite respectable. The service was friendly and attentive. I would really need to know that The Ellington has revamped their burger before I go back. Since Toast closed, the neighborhood has yet to produce a juicy, flavorful burger made from unadulterated beef, loosely packed and properly cooked. I am rooting for this place but some tweaking is necessary.
Great, informal restaurant, very pleasant and good food
Really enjoyed the brunch, nice drink menu with very reasonable prices. Thoroughly enjoyed the A.B.L.T
A nice place in a great location. The service was a bit slow, it feels a little understaffed (we had to nearly tackle the server to order, get food, and get the bill at the end), but overall good food, a range of options, and a nice ambiance even for a relatively large group.
Such a cute little ambiance. The brunch we had was good. Wasn’t busy when we were there (Saturday morning at 11:30 ish) which worked out for us. The owner came over and greeted us after we finished eating. Cute little place that I would recommend.
Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Our order came in a timely manner. It wasn't scorching hot or cold. It was perfect. The hostess was able to sit us right away. It was our first time and the experience was memorable. We came for brunch. The food was delicious. Will definitely come back.
Ate here on Wednesday, 8/30/17. Was not overly impressed with the food and service was slow. My fish & chips were not very good, however my husband's arugula goat cheese salad with procuttio was excellent.
The food is quite good (especially brunch) and the service is fabulous. From the moment you walk in, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. It's also an unpretentious place to eat with a lovely atmosphere and you can actually have a comfortable conversation in there. There are a lot of otherwise good restaurants where the noise level is such that catching up with a friend involves talking loudly and straining to hear. Also, great Bloody Marys with brunch. This place is all around lovely.
The restaurant staff were very unfriendly to us about our puppy. The servers had minimal interactions with us and were not helpful. The food and the ambiance was okay.
Consistently fun, good service, and delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Really happy to have found this neighborhood gem! We had Sunday Brunch together with a group of friends and sat outside. Perfect table, Great Service(quick, responsive to request). The food was REALLY GOOD, everyone loved what they ordered and the desserts are great. We will be back again and again. Looking forward to trying it out for dinner!!! DELISH!
Delicious. And the server was adorable with a cute Irish brogue. Most of all the hostess had kindly reserved the perfect table for us .
I had called ahead to let her know we were coming with a stroller. She couldn't have been kinder! We will be back!
Friendly and attentive service. Fast kitchen. Solid dishes.
The service was typical of UWS, not that great but not horrible. Nice staff but just missing the attentive quality. Food was subpar, ordered the huevos ranchero which were more like nacho eggs. Overall ok.
