Food and service are both outstanding. Excellent restaurant to go to for special occasions or just for a nice date night. Menu changes frequently so it is always interesting to try the current options.

If you are a foodie or appreciate fine dining with farm to table ingredients this is the best place to be. The food is creative, grown mostly on their own farms, and wonderful delicious. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cozy, romantic and tasteful!

Chef Daniel varies the menu seasonally so you must go 4 times a year or more!

I have never been more welcomed at a restaurant than I was on a Wednesday night celebrating our anniversary. The maitre d' and bartender greeted us and struck up a conversation. Seated us in a quiet corner as requested. The service and food were superb. The wine list reasonable. Had a nice conversation with the owner-chef and his wife. And again with the maitre d' and bartender on our way out. A lovely night out!

Valentines Day dinner, great staff and excellent service but food was just ok and most courses seemed prepare hours before. The appetizers and salads were disappointing, small, not plated well and food quality not great. Main course was better but poor value even for Valentine’s Day dinner.

Furnace is a nice quaint place. Reminds me of a bed and breakfast but more upscale. The menu can be for the adventurous with selections from pheasant, rabbit, venison or lamb. A great choice if you want to step outside the chain experience and try something new.

This is the second or third time we have dined here. In each case the menu was very interesting with locally produced meats and vegetables. The entire crew on duty each time have been professional, friendly, and extremely accommodating. We truly enjoy our meals and the time spent there. One of the best restaurant experiences we have had and look forward to enjoying again and again.

Went for brunch for my vegetarian daughter's birthday. Good options for her and plenty of non-veggie options for the carnivores. Generous servings and excellent food. We all agreed we'd happily go again.

My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday morning for Brunch. If you've ever had a dish that you'll remember forever, The Elkridge Furnace Inn will be added to that list. The ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. There was a fire going in the fire place, the lights were just low enough to give a sense of intimacy.

They offered endless pastries. We each had an appetizer and entree; depending on the entree you will choose one or two sides. He had the market salad, which they use home grown vegetables for, and the power breakfast. I had the fruit salad and sweet potato waffles with bacon and potatoes o'brien. The waffles perfectly fluffy. The bacon melted in your mouth. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and perfectly seasoned.

The service was phenomenal. My cup was never empty and you get all the juice and coffee you can drink with the Brunch meal. It was very elegant. I had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to go back.

My husband & I took our family there to celebrate our anniversary. We dine there several times a year and always enjoy it. It was the first time that members of our family have eaten there. The feedback from the family was unanimous. The food was absolutely delicious, the best they have had, prepared just right and the sauces were prepared perfectly for each dish. The Inn and its history were fascinating and a great place to have dinner or have a celebration. The service was very good and attentive. Impressive that Chef Wecker stopped by our table. In another words our anniversary celebration was a great success thanks to the Elkridge Furnace Inn and staff. Thank You!!

We went there for a post-birthday dinner. For full disclosure, I am a great fan of EFI having attended many of their afternoon teas, Gourmand Gatherings, Sunday brunches, and other events. Chef Wecker and his team operate a very warm, welcoming establishment which serves great foods, using many locally sourced ingredients, in a historic location. You can’t do much better for that special dinner than the Elkridge Furnace Inn.

My husband & I have been there many times and the Inn never disappoints. We ordered from the Restaurant week menu and enjoyed both our soups and entrees which were a terrific bargain for the price. I recommend this place for special occasions since it can be a little pricey, but the quality, variety, and innovativeness of serving choices are always superb!

Visited Elkridge Furnace Inn during Brunch. The food was okay. I had the seafood crepe which underwhelmed. My guest had the crab cake Benedict and was pleased. The service was okay, not exceptional. Overall, didn’t feel the experience/food and the value were aligned.

As always, the Furnace inn is just one special gem in this quiet neighborhood. The food, as always, is outstanding! We had fried calamari as appetizer - they are good, but surprisingly, the roasted chick peas as an accent taste almost better than the calamari! Always love their outstanding French onion soup. I had pork chop and sausage - portion is just right, the taste, the plate presentation are just wonderful. I found myself enjoying every bit of the dishes, and will definitely be back!

I had dinner here with my boyfriend on Friday. I really enjoyed my experience. The service was especially great. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the busser had my water filled as fast as I could drink it. I order the rabbit in beer sauce, and that was a first for me. It was tasty, but the veggies were just soooo good. The salad my boyfriend got was super fresh, literally from their garden! I also tried his steak, which was great. Cream of Baltimore soup was delicious. It is pricey, but it was worth it to us!

We are new to the area and have left behind favorite restaurants for dining. The Elkridge Furnace Inn is wonderful. We knew the moment we entered, the surroundings, the service and the food were perfect. Our new favorite restaurant for a quiet dinner or get together with new friends.

Loved the new menu choices! Service was wonderful and attentive. We stated witht the pork pie and rabbit salad as appitzers. The pie crust was flakey and tastey. My only criticism is that there was not enough filling to crust but otherwise it was very good. The rabbit salad was awesome and such a different menu choice. It was a warm potatoe salad with roulettes of rabbit. For entres we had the game hen and the veal. Both were very tasty and large portions. We will definitely be back to try some of the other options.

Overall, good experience. Food very tasty. Price of meals a little costly but at least when I walk away for my $100 for two people I was not upset. Loved sitting by fireplace. Very cozy!
