   The dining room was quiet and cozy but had an air of refinement. I liked the kinda Victorian decore I mean I get it. The place is from 1744. It has been around for a long time. The hostess was wonderfully kind and accomodating. The waitress was very knowledgeable and also very kind and attentive. Everything was DELICIOUS seasonal and farm to table. Including the cocktails! They have prefix’s event dinners which I now want to go to. However what I had when I went was not prefix. It was standard but they had a main menu, a seasonal cocktail menu, a seasonal specials menu, a wine list that was literally a freaking book (But they also sold wine by the glass, however less options) AND a seasonal desert menu! Amazing! The waitress was saying that they had a mushroom house (what?! 🤯) and vegetable garden on the property and that they forage as much of the other ingredients for the menu and drinks as they can. Everything else is hyper local! And they craft all the cocktails themselves! It is definitely a bit pricey. But you know. When you include the FRESHNESS OF TGE INGREDIENTS, novelty of the rotating menu and the ambiance and service and decore. I say it was worth it. This is clearly a special event/celebration type of place but it’s earned a place in my best places list!

   It wasn't the server's fault, but it took 50 minutes to get our wine for our anniversary dinner. They don't keep their wine list up to date. One to three years off on vintages for the first four choices we made. Finally they had the vintage on the wine list for the fifth choice. Servers do need training in knowing which glass goes with which varietal. When you're spending $100 for a bottle, it's reasonable to expect a burgundy glass with a Pinot noir. Food wise, they brought soup before the wine and we sent it back. Later they forgot to bring my Brussel sprouts. What we did get was delicious. The 6 oz filet with truffle butter and the rockfish. Nice touch at the end to bring a dessert and two champagnes to acknowledge the anniversary.

   We go for a birthday dinner and are not disappointed. The food is excellent and creative.

   The staff was very friendly and made good suggestions to us. The birthday person in our group was wished H. B. D. numerous times. The general manager, server and his assistant were great and made us feel like we were the only diners in the building. The food was outstanding especially a very special meatball, with an onion sauce was delicious Looking forward to our next visit.

   Elkridge Furnace Inn never disappoints. We were here tonight for a wedding anniversary, just celebrating with our daughter and son-in-law. The server was super busy but gave us great service. Associated staff filled in as needed, including the manager.

   We decided to head to Elkridge Furnance Inn to enjoy the beautiful patio on a glorious day and sample the spring menu. My husband's duck salad and New Mexico lamb dish were exquisite. I had a hard time deciding, so I chose escargot, cheddar soup, and a beautiful Ceasar salad. With our wine, it was a wonderful way to end the day!

   Always a great experience at Elkridge Furnace Inn. Spring time brings ferns and mushrooms which are always expertly prepared.

   Food was great. Last time I was there for my birthday most of my guest did not like their food including me. This time it was on point. Service is always good and Chef Dan always greets his guest.
