   The space is quintessential NYC; a Gotham concrete structure with lots of nooks and crannies and upholstered booths. The number of TVs playing sports surprised me and contributed to the high noise level. Sports were switched to a crackling firelog which helped a little. Server had to be reminded to bring our drinks. Food came out fast but fries were stale and other items were merely OK.

   Great food - not great service, and SO LOUD. Way too loud for my liking, but the food really redeemed the experience.

   Our friendly waitress was outstanding. Service was prompt pre-theatre. Meals were tasty though we wouldn’t pick the pizza again and the fries were very salty. We wouldn’t pick however go back without hesitation.

   Very nice bar / restaurant, server was very attentative and not so much in your face as in other places. food was good and plentifull

   Entire experience at the Elgin was excellent. Our lovely server from Ireland (forgive me for getting your name), was patient as we looked over the extensive food and drink menu. She gave great suggestions, leading the 4 of us to perfect rotating drafts and cocktails, as well as tangy wings, a couple of French onion burgers, cheeseburger egg rolls, bao buns, and salt and vinegar fries. We cleaned our plates, as everything was delicious. Left with time before heading to our show, we grabbed another round and never felt rushed. We will definitely be returning to the Elgin!
