   Stunning food beautifully presented. Every course of the lunch time tasting menu was delicious. Bearing in mind the quality of the food, great value for money.

   Another great meal at the Elephant. The food is wonderful, the service superb and even sat at the bar pre-dinner is a fun experience. Some really unique dishes and drinks on the menu which all go together perfectly.

   Fantastic evening with great food. Easily accommodated a Coeliac diet . The staff are attentive and well informed. We attended for a special occasion it made for a great evening.

   This is an exceptional restaurant. Obviously it has a Michelin rosette so one expects very high quality but we eaten in many Michelins and it doesn’t always pan out. Maybe it simplest to focus on something very small. At the end of the meal is an option to have two coffees and petit fours. I think that was priced at £8. Two espressi at Greggs cost £3.20 and if we bought it in a fancy coffee shop in Torquay it could cost £6. And the petit fours were exceptionally nice. We had lunch. It was very tasty, full of original ideas and service was …well it was like talking to normal human beings instead of trying to converse with the esoteric Martians who often masquerade as waiters in Michelin restaurants. It’s a very nice place to have lunch. Long may it continue.

   My experience of lunch at The Elephant in Torquay was outstanding in every way. The presentation, the delicate combination of taste and colour, the relaxed but professional service and ambience all contributed to a perfect lunch.

   Unbelievably wonderful. A well balanced tasting menu and matched wine flight. Each course was delivered with an appropriate description and the service was attentive but not overbearing . I would, without hesitation, recommend it.

   The Elephant is an outstanding restaurant. The ambience is second to none, and the service is just perfect. The food is out of this world, with complex, beautifully cooked and presented dishes. Starters, main courses and puddings are all equally delicious and interesting. I do not usually order a pudding in restaurants, as they are usually so boring, predictable and often clearly bought in or thawed from frozen, but The Elephant's desserts are incredible, with unusual and exciting taste combinations, fantastically cooked and prepared. Possibly my favourite restaurant. If only we lived closer!

    What a lovely evening we had to celebrate a family birthday. The Front of House service was professional and attentive and the food was amazing. Beautiful flavours and presentation. This was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last.
