Located proudly in the heart of Long Beach City, the Eldo - formerly known as the Eldorado - has been a staple in the LBC restaurant community since 1957.
Owned by South African native Trevor Nettmann since 2012 - the Eldo has been restored to its fullest potential & now boasts an eclectic menu of both American // South African fare.
With a sole focus on serving the highest quality food + craft cocktails & locally brewed craft beer - is passionate about cultivating both a local // international menu with an equally captivating atmosphere for each guest.

Delicious food - best steak in town and my favorite, the Durban Lamb Curry is always spot on. Our waiter ( Cole ) was super attentive and personable. I highly recommend The Eldo.

Our table was ready within 20 minutes of our arrival. Our waitress, Jenna, was excellent! Food was delivered in a reasonable time and was delicious!

Wonderful samosas, shepherd pis & delightful carrot cake! Our waiter Adrian was most pleasant, knowledgeable & efficient. We will return!

Overall a very nice experience. We sat on the patio which is much quieter than inside. Also enjoyed watching the Dodger game on the numerous TV’s.

Sat on the patio. Heaters kept us feeling warm and cozy. The shakes are the best — so many choices! My chili was perfection. Husband didn’t like the cheese sauce smothered on his sandwich— it was the same sauce they used for the pretzel dip. Enjoyed the Samoas in the variety appetizer though it seemed overpriced for what you got.
