Located proudly in the heart of Long Beach City, the Eldo - formerly known as the Eldorado - has been a staple in the LBC restaurant community since 1957.
Owned by South African native Trevor Nettmann since 2012 - the Eldo has been restored to its fullest potential & now boasts an eclectic menu of both American // South African fare.
With a sole focus on serving the highest quality food + craft cocktails & locally brewed craft beer - is passionate about cultivating both a local // international menu with an equally captivating atmosphere for each guest.

We ate in the Garden and it was very peaceful. The food was great and we had a wonderful young man serve us and he was very pleasent. We will be back!

Food and staff was amazing. First time dining there to get some birthday dinner for my son’s birthday. Will definitely be coming back with my wife to enjoy the food and bar.

The Eldo are not allowing customers to bring their own bottled water 😣, but they allow non service stinky dogs!!!

The Eldo is a fantastic place for grabbing dinner. We sat out on the patio, which was quieter and more spacious than the indoor area—perfect for a relaxed evening. Our server, Kaitlyn, was phenomenal—super friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to anything we needed. The food was excellent, arrived exactly as ordered, and the quality was top-notch. Plus, the prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back!

This is where many local residents come for dinner. They are open only for dinner. Given the South African theme of the bar, expect to see stuffed game safari heads line the bar wall. The staffs are friendly and helpful and food is very good. There is a good amount of tap beer, cocktails, and other drinks to choose from. The price is a bit on the high end but that’s to be expected for the only good place in the vicinity. Come check it out a few times and this place will grow on you. You might end up seeing people you know!
