   Excellent service, lovely food, that's very visually appealing. They keep notes on your likes/dislikes/allergies, which is very nice. It is pretty pricy though, a good splurge. Wish they change up the menu a bit each day, I can do the same thing every day, otherwise would have eaten with them two nights in a row.

   We eloped in Yosemite and went here for our wedding dinner and it was fantastic! Our meal was delicious and the staff was so friendly and made our experience so special. The food was unique without being over the top. The soup of the day was some of the best I’ve ever tasted! We will definitely visit again when we’re in the area. It was lovely!

   A very pretty room and lovely ambience. Could not fault the food which was excellent. The service was attentive but not rushed. However, all the wait staff seemed to be following a very specific and defined "formula" - the exact same questions were asked of guests at every table and there was little personality and therefore no real feeling of genuineness to the service. There was no a-la-carte menu option, rather a 3 course or 4 course menu only. We were very moderate in our dining (we both opted for the 3 course menu) and drinking (one glass of red wine each as we are not big drinkers) and despite this being a restaurant attached to a Relais & Chateaux hotel, we felt the $278.68 price tag to be exorbitant due to the 22% service charge added on top of the food and beverage to "support our kitchen and serving team". Perhaps the restaurant should pay their employees more commensurate with their worth instead of charging patrons to pay them a fair wage. It is also somewhat demeaning to the staff when a restaurant advertises an extra charge to "support" their workers, suggesting the management does not see fit to do so themselves. Alternatively, the restaurant could quite easily increase the prices to cover service costs to more accurately reflect the quality of the restaurant and the level of service provided (which is the case in most fine dining restaurants) and leave it at that. Tax is added on top of the entire bill in the USA which is never a known percentage until the bill is received so costs keep mounting (unlike other countries where tax is a fixed cost already built into the final price). The space on the bill for a tip (on top of the F&B charge, the 22% service charge and tax) - felt like double dipping when the service charge was added regardless. Note to management: diners do not mind paying high prices for excellent food, good service and a lovely ambience but all these factors should be built into the initial cost, not added on top.

   This meal was extraordinary. Everything from the food (by a very talented chef) to the cocktails, wine and ambience was top notch. The service team and their attention to detail made this experience one that we will treasure for quite some time.

    Fabulous dining experience. Chef Erik's creations are served by young-ish, but professional, friendly & knowledgeable waitstaff. We had Perigord Truffle Risotto & the Ribeye entrées, preceded by Roasted Red Pepper and Eggplant Bisque. Spectacular!

    Very disappointed with where we were sat by the hosts on New Year’s Eve. I made the reservation in October and asked for a romantic table. We got sat in the alternate room and were one of two couples in there. The fireplace area was clearly the romantic seating space, but we were told we couldn’t sit there. I guarantee you that nobody made a reservation as far in advance as I did. Sad. Thank you to the chef and our waiters nonetheless.

    We are from the Bay Area, but knew of the Elderberry House and always wanted to try it. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, with skillful combinations of flavors; the service gracious, and the ambience -- decorated for the holidays -- was enchanting. We loved it.

    Stunning venue, such an elegant and posh Christmas dinner. Vegetarian alternatives were provided for myself, and they were delicious. I didn't feel like I had missed out on anything. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable and attentive. The tables were nicely spaced, and it wasn't too loud. The cocktails were unreal, highly recommend the purple buddha one! The jazz Christmas music on guitar was a bit weird at times though :)

    Great overall experience. According to the staff it was a slow night for guests. The service was amazing. The staff were warm, friendly, professional and polite (hard to find anymore). The food was very good. We did the wine pairing and enjoyed the selections. We knew in advance the experience would be expensive. so not shocking when the bill came. Wonderful evening with my wife for a holiday dinner.

    The service was excellent from start to finish. Holiday décor was delightfully cheery! Wine selection was nice sized, and the waitress knew her wines. Our main critique is the entrees' portions were ,for us, appetizer sized: 2 scallops in my companion's plate, or in mine 2 slices of ribeye. A 3rd piece would have made it more substantial. Over all a very nice experience on our last night after Yosemite Park.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Elderberry House! The food and whole experience was amazing. The servers all made us feel like we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Oakhurst.😊

    For a 7 course gourmet Thanksgiving dinner and the price, I would have expected better. Some of the food was outstanding. The Turkey breast was actually Turkey loaf and it was exceptionally salty. I placed my reservation over a month before the meal and asked for Gluten Free as I am Celiac and I felt I was short changed on the meal where they eliminated the Gluten portion and didn't even consider creating alternative options. The service was inconsistent as we had to keep asking for cutlery and they messed up the bill, forgetting to charge us for drinks at the bar and when we pointed it out they 'thanked us for our honesty' and gave us $10 off on a $500 meal. Overall, the meal was overpriced for what we received both in food and service.

    Edna’s Elderberry Houde has become a part of my Yosemite visit these last few years. I’ve heard about this place ever since I was young and has always wanted to dine here. The food and the service are impeccable. Fine dining and gorgeous Yosemite: my two favorite things in life.

    The Elderberry House is a very special place in a surprsing location. It is outstanding in every way. The only down side is that it is very expensive and the current menu is limited with selections (likely COVID related) for now. They do anticipate some changes that will fix this issue however. The atmosphere, service, and food is remarkable, especially where it is located. Great for a special occasion.

    Excellent service and food. From reading other reviews I was afraid to order the scallops, thinking they wouldn't fill me up, but with all the other courses I was stuffed. I'm so glad I ordered the scallops because the presentation and the dish (textures and flavors perfectly complimented each other) itself were excellent Also, I couldn't stop eating the bread because it was so delicious and unique. If you have a heartier appetite I recommend the 4 course dinner, and fill up on the bread.

    This was our first experience with fine dining, and it was impeccable. Our server, Jake L, was fantastic and made the dining experience the best it could possibly be. I have to eat gluten free and the Elderberry House was beyond accommodating. They knew as soon as I sat down that I had a dietary restriction and with every dish, Jake told me how it had been adjusted to make sure I could eat everything safely. We also highly recommend the sommelier wine pairing. It enhanced the already delicious food so that you can truly get the most out of this experience.

    A bit of European elegance in California. Erika and Daylen fabulous wine pairings for a Michelin quality dinner, on par with the top Michelin restaurants in the Bay Area. Perfect timing, menu choices and service.

    Very disappointed in the overall experience. Limited menu with very small portions. Drinks were overpriced and small pours. I expect a restaurant that claims to be fine dining to have a dress code. T-shirts and sneakers should not be allowed. We waited over 20 minutes from the time our dinner plates were cleared to be served dessert. Then we were slapped with a surprise 20% service fee. Not worth the time or the cost. Save your money and go to the Oakhurst Grill and Whiskey 41 Lounge

    Overall It was a tremendous experience. The wait staff was very polite and knowledgeable. The water boy did seem inexperienced, when he poured the water into our glasses it was literally splashing out. We don’t drink alcohol, but had it been a bottle of wine it would have been a bigger problem. We are a family vacation and we appreciated the restaurant accommodated our 9 year old. Unfortunately they didn’t have a kids menu option or smaller portion. Would recommend the restaurant, it was a fun experience.
