Worth every penny. Great service and food was Michelin Star quality.
It was quite an experience. Never thought that i could find a place like that in the area. Quite pricey but worth it.
Highly recommend Elderberry House if you’re in town! The food was great for the price, and our server was awesome. Easy parking right out front and nice ambiance. We wish we were seated in the room with all the lights, but we were in a darker room with paintings. Overall, would return to try more courses!
We were at Elderberry House for the New Year’s Eve gala dinner. The 7 course dinner was well presented and many courses were particularly well prepared. In particular the rabbit snd the filet mignon. However the restaurant has lost the level of attention and care that Erna used to give. From her personal greetings to a gift at the end of the meal, and the raffle to the decorations in every room. Her attention was at the gala dinner and at any other normal day. We missed her.
It took 15 minutes to get a menu and our server to greet us . Filet was tough. Wouldn't sit us in the holiday festive room, dark and boring room . Dinner took 3 hours to complete service very slow.
Excellent service and food. Super nice atmospheres .
During the holiday season there are several venues that chose to adorn their halls with festive cheer. Erna's Elderberry House selected a marvelous, magical light pattern that created a night under the stars. The beautifully lit dining room was cast in a bright but soft light from the glowing lights overhead. The fireplace added the charm of a cozy room. The staff were more than welcoming and professional throughout the dining experience. The menu had a selection that offered variety of seasonal ingredients for delectable meals. As a party of two we were determined to sample one another's selections. I was surprised the amount of deep fried items throughout the four courses. The flavor profiles were fun to explore with my pallet. Generous truffle shavings were presented. Overall enjoyed the evening and meal but was surprisingly left wanting something slightly more or different, with no understanding what it was lacking.
Service was top notch! Everyone was very attentive throughout the dinner. The food was good, the only thing was that the bread served was cold, but it was a very good meal.
Delicious food and lovely presentation. Pretty small portions. They add 20% gratuity to the bill. My husband didn’t get that and paid another tip. Good news for the server! Their website said they would space diners for privacy, but a loud group was seated right next to us when there were open tables further away that would have made for a quieter experience.
An incredible dining experience at a restaurant we always dreamt of going to. our first time trying a tasting menu with wine pairings, and it certainly didn't disappoint. As my wife said, "Sublime". Creative incredible dishes, wonderful wines and first class friendly service from the entire staff. Thank you so much.
A superb dining experience!! The intimate setting was accented by gracious service and unobtrusive Staff. Diners were spaced thruout the rooms to enhance privacy. 3 and 4 course prix-fixe menus were offered with or without wine pairings. An extensive wine list complemented the menu. Truly a gem hidden in the small town of Oakhurst.
Very enjoyable. Great food service ambiance. Had a great dinner.
Incredible dinner with impeccable service. The best quality restaurant in Oakhurst.
Best dining experience we have ever had. Everything from the food to the service was absolutely incredible.
Ambience is outstanding and the staff is pleasant and very professional. The menu offers beautiful array of choices and the servers happily explain in detail any questions you might have.
Could not more highly recommend. Delicious food, superlative service without feeling stuffy, gorgeous ambiance, and excellent value for the quality and quantity. Couldn't be more special.
Everything was wonderful!
One of the best (if not the best) fine dining experiences in my life. The food, service, and ambiance were top notch. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, providing a perfect food / wine pairing.
It was an amazing beautiful place .... The food was great and the service was awesome. ❤ Loved everything about it
Wonderful meal and service.
Excellent high end restaurant with amazing service and wonderful food. Very expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion
Loved the food and ambiance. Service was impeccable. Great place for celebrating a special occasion.
Great food, great service and great atmosphere - would highly recommend!
Special, occasion restaurant. Excellent service. 3 or 4 course menu. Delicious crab cake. Bison short ribs. Home-made breads. I think the desserts could be improved for this price range. Beautiful rooms in a house that feels elegant and yet comfortable. A place to dress up. A gem in a small city that seems to just have mediocre places to eat.
Wonderful experience. Celebrated 33rd wedding anniversary and it was very memorable . Staff very knowledgeable and pleasant and food is superb . Thank you for making the night special .
Amazing, very elegant and amazing food. They take care of you 100%
As always Elderberry House didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious and the wine was spectacular. Sat on the patio on a beautiful night. Will definitely return.
Wonderful, delicious way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
This was our first dining experience at this location. Many years ago we dined at the location located in the park. The atmosphere and food presentation was stunning, However the execution was lacking. We ordered cocktails first with plans to discuss the wine pairing and/order bottle of wine. As we were waiting for our cocktails to arrive the bread and soup was served? Margarita does not pair with squash soup?? We had to ask for our cocktails which was served 5 minutes after our first course. Waiter did not discuss wine pairing, she seemed very rushed. As a result we did not order wine. The food was delicious, unfortunately the service was lacking. In hindsight we should have sent the soup back to kitchen until we received our cocktails.
As always the food and service were outstanding
Such a great evening with fantastic food and wine and service
Highly recommend !
Fantastic dining experience. The flavors, presentation, and service were all on point. This is quite a gem in a small town and was a wonderful experience during our Yosemite visit. Highly recommended!
Fine dining at its best. Started with cocktails on the terrace before going into the dining room for dinner. The food was expertly prepared with great attention to detail. The wine pairing was skillfully done to complement the food. The service was spot on. Will certainly go again when I am in the area.
The staff was professional and attentive with charming personalities
Two different entrees were inedible
And the other two were mediocre. The ribeye could have been served at Sizzler restaurant. It’s somewhat doubtful that is was prime ribeye.
The presentation was beautiful and the heirloom salad was fabulous.
The pistachio icecream was like eating a salt lick.
The service was 5 stars and the food 1 1/2. I will not go back nor will our friends 😟
Meal with friends for a conference. Not for everyday dining. Special location and great ambiance. Took almost 3hpues for a 4 course meal so not for the rushed.
Really enjoyed our dinner.
Excellent food, service and ambience. We had 4 course prix fixe dinner. Everything was delicious. Protein portions for entree were delicious but small. I had ribeye steak, which was excellent, but was served without the rib, and probably no more than 4 oz. of meat. My wife had the salmon which was delicious, but also salmon was also no more than 4 oz. The service was excellent, and the outdoor seating was in a beautiful garden setting. Would dine here again if in the Yosemite area- its about 35-40 min from Wawona.
Delicious meal with beautiful presentation. Our server was very attentive and professional. The best place for many miles around, well worth incorporating this restaurant into Yosemite plans.
We had our 40th anniversary dinner at The Elderberry House. They put us in a private room. The food was excellent and the portions were just the right size. Very special place!
Truly an unbelievable experience. The food was unreal. Service was great. I had to take pics of each course because it was so beautiful. Highly recommend!!
